I was only in this time to get the Virginia safety and emissions inspections, which are set price services, but I waited until they had availability for me, instead of going to 1000 other places closer to my house. The reason being they are very honest people and other places that I’ve been to in the past near my house failed my car on inspection and cited the same thing year after a year. Others have had the same issue with these places. They use the inspection process as a way to get people to spend on unnecessary repairs. I went to Stan’s to validate whether those things were truly in need of repair. Sometimes they were but sometimes they weren’t. I trust Stan Rollison’s to give me an honest answer. You can’t beat Stan Rollison’s.

The trunk lock jammed on my 1999 Toyota Camry. No replacement parts available for 1999 so the lock was removed and sent to a locksmith for repair. One day later, I had a new key and the repaired lock was reinstalled. Three days before Christmas, I couldn't ask for more. Rick, Elizabeth and the whole crew, thank y'all so much and the best to you in 2026!!!

What a fantastic experience! I’ve been looking for a new mechanic here in VA and I think I have found them. No nonsense, to the point, excellent mechanics. They did my state inspection and emissions but I had my battery die before I got there so they diagnosed faults and let me know what I needed to do. New battery and a hard reset of my console. Passed inspection and emissions. They didn’t upsell me or try to take me to the cleaners, just slid maintenance and good clean work. I will definitely be back!

I scheduled a wheel alignment and was seen within an hour. The service was quick and Rick went above and beyond by checking a noise that concerned me. Instead of upselling, he advised me to visit the dealership because the issue might be covered under warranty. He was right. The dealership confirmed it immediately and my repair is in the process of being fully covered. Excellent service and genuine integrity. Highly recommend!

I got an emissions test and inspection done on my car. The services went smoothly. The only downside of my experience was interacting with Elizabeth at the front desk. Her demeanor was unwelcoming and she didn’t greet me when I walked up to the counter. She just looked at me like I was bothering her. That tarnished the experience for me.

Warning light indicated Steering Assist problem. Advised that we needed a battery. Paid for diagnostic and service and within 24 hours warning appeared again. Was told not sure maybe a software glitch and that I need to go to dealer. Went to a dealer paid for another diagnostic and it clearly indicated that we needed a thermostat. Not a software glitch. At the least i should have been refunded the fee for the failed diagnostic.

Finding an automotive garage whom I trust has always been a struggle, I've even been swindle by service dept at dealerships. However, Stan Rollinson has been the most reliable, consistent, and fair automotive garage I've encountered. They've been honest about make repairs and have given me a fair price estimate every time. I needed an emissions done on the last day my tags expired. I google the closest place near me and that's how I came across Stan. I arrive at 7:45 am and out by 8am and that's with 2 people ahead of me. Great service.

This shop came highly recommended. I needed to get my car serviced right away. I got an appointment within 2 days. They did a diagnostic and I was able to get the work done and picked it up the same day. Before the work was done they called me to explain what needed to be done and that my battery needed to be changed. What I love about them is that they didn't push services I didn't need. They are reasonably priced. I will use them for all of my car needs.

Stan Rollison’s has been the best mechanic in Virginia that I have ever used. They get you in quick, explain what’s going on and have reasonably pricing. I have been using them for years and will continue to take all my vehicles to their shop. I have had everything from inspection, emissions, A/C work, tires, brakes you name it they can do it! Highly recommend them efficient and professional.

Excellent service, fast, and a fair price. I was desperate because my usual car mechanic wasn’t available. My car needed an inspection. It is an old car so I was expecting some work might be due: new tires, brakes, and a bulb or two needed replacing. They went above and beyond to work with me. Everything was fixed the next day and I felt the cost was fair. I will be going back.

Check Engine Light had come on, took it to Stan Rollinson’s because they were a local business. Turned out to be a faulty solenoid and tires needed to be replaced as well. All in all took about 2 hours and they also took the initiative to do the year’s state inspection. Friendly and efficient crew as well as front desk. Would recommend. Earlier you get there in the morning the better though because word travels.

This was the worst automotive experience I ever had in my life. They charge me $81 bucks for doing absolutely nothing at all to my trust. If you have a Ford these are not the people to go to. The manager Rick lied and told me my insurance would not cover the cost for my truck.. as soon as I called my insurance people they said they were covered the calls and that he just did not want to finish the diagnostic test. The white lady at the front told me I would be getting charged $71 for a diagnostic test that was never completed so why I had to pay we still don't know. Then I come in to get my truck and they added on the extra $10 for 2 quarts of oil that I never even told them to put in the truck because they wasn't doing any other service for the truck. And they never informed me that they did that. When I got there the cost was just higher. If you are a female they will for sure try to get over on you and they are the worst automotive experience that I have ever had in my entire life. I recommend you do not use them

Stan Rollison's was great. Made an appointment for a VA state vehicle inspection the night before. Dropped it off the next morning and got a call back within 45 minutes with a report of what they found. I knew from when I got brake work done that there was play in the passenger side lower ball joint, but didn't realize that could lead to a failed state inspection. I was pleasantly surprised that their recommendation was not to replace both front lower ball joints like the shop that did the brake work. The recommendations and estimate were given in a matter of fact way with best professional opinion and not trying to sell me on anything I didn't need. I agreed to the work, part was ordered, and I think it was done in 2.5 hours. Really glad the closest mechanic to where I live was a great experience. I will definitely be bringing my vehicle back for any future work I need.

I had a wonderful experience at Stan Rollin’s Automotive. I just moved into the area and the shop was recommended to me by a friend. Their website was easy to navigate when I scheduled the appointment, and their service team was friendly when I arrived at the shop. They worked quickly and had my vehicle repaired in less than 24 hours. Considering all the repairs I needed, that’s saying a lot. In addition to the quick turnaround, in my opinion, the repair cost was very reasonable.

Very good customer service. They helped us even though we didn’t have a confirmed appointment. They provided excellent service at a fair price and solved my issue quickly. I am very satisfied with the service on my Chevy trax. I hope not to have any mechanical issues in the future, but I will definitely use them for maintenance services as well.
