Awesome place to get a new (used) bike. John helped us today and he was awesome. Fantastic service, love it. Definitely the place to go for all your bike related needs.

Great service and very friendly people. They were very helpful in helping me pick out the right bike that suits me. The prices are great and they also fix bikes and show you how to fix your bike if you’re interested.

Donated two bikes today to Recycle a Bike (don't worry I have a couple more of my own in my apartment!) I talked with Mike who told me that the grants they had in the past have dried up and they depend on their volunteers and donations to stay open--now more than ever. They still have to pay the rent, after all. Consider your three "Ts". Time, Treasure, and Talent and if you could help them out. RAB are a great non-profit who provide several services to the general public; keeping bikes out of the landfill and on the road, reducing the local carbon footprint while reducing car traffic, teaching people how to repair their bikes, and making people smile. No doubt more things that I'm not thinking of right now! Please Visit and support this business!

Incredible place. Helpful, generous with their time. Can’t recommend highly enough!

These bikes are overpriced and He does not give you any deal. After all, they were donated for free.

Hours not accurate on Google. Here's a photo. Bikes are very affordable. $100-700 for normal to high end bikes. Staff is very nice and you can also volunteer here to earn bike parts.

This is a thoroughly, supremely wonderful place. Colin, Lorelei, Mike, and the rest of the staff and the volunteers are outstandingly patient, kind, and professional. There's a huge selection of used bikes for all ages and genders, and they are reasonably priced. I already visited this place three times and bought great things, and I'll probably come again. Highly recommended!

We are so thankful we came across this gem! We are on vacation & were looking for good used bikes. The price is right here & everyone is so helpful. They took their time to clean & customize our bikes for us. We can not thank you guys enough!

What a great place, Mike was so patient with us, and his prices are very fair!!! He fixed my bike on the spot!!! And also showed me how to work on it on my own!!! Super empowering. Then he told us about a huge sale he was having in a couple of days, and invited us… while he was fixing and showing and chatting… he told us that they have an open shop… where for a few dollars an hour, that we could come down…use all the tools, and work on our own bikes…and they would be there for advice and guidance….. Normally we are accustomed to a different style of people doing business, but this was a completely different ( in a really great way) experience. Not only will we try and patronize Recycle-a-bike, but we will definitely tell people about this gem!

I can’t recommend this place enough! I don’t know a lot about bicycles, but they told me everything I needed to know and helped me pick out a bike that fit my needs, while thoroughly answering all my questions. Great prices, great people, and great bikes!

Can’t say enough good things about this place. I bought a beautiful refurbished GT Outpost here on Sunday for $150. It rides really well and is in great shape for a cheap, used bike. When I got home, I googled prices for similar bikes and I couldn’t find one for less than $200, including sites like Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace. Sadly, two days into having the bike I got a screw in my tire and it went flat. I took it in, and someone was able to not only fix it, but help me understand the process as well, all free of charge. They offer store credit in return for volunteer hours, and the people there are happy to share their knowledge with you. Whether you’re looking to buy a used bike, fix up your own, or just trying to learn more about bike repair/maintenance, Recycle-A-Bike is the place for you.

They sell you a used bike which is usually donated, then is basically the starting point of your new project bike. Some of the bikes need major tunning other not, depending on its condition. They are very honest and helpful, great staff, the price is very good. This is a place to fix your bike they rent you a spot and tools, this is not a place to get fancy bikes. But definitely you can build and repair any bike here. I'm a mechanical bug, I loved the place.

I highly recommend Recycle-A-Bike for anyone looking for help with purchasing a bike or bike information. Chelsea was particularly helpful and was patient and kind! I enjoyed stepping foot and learning about bikes here. They have great programs and classes. I left their shop very pleased.

Providence is so lucky to have a place like Recycle A Bike in the community. I was looking for a mountain bike just to do some light trail riding and didn’t have a ton of money or a desire to buy something new. I stopped in and ended up finding the perfect bike with many years behind it, proving that there’s no reason it can’t last many more. Bob was so nice and a big help with finding something that fit me.

Great place to learn great skills and have a good time working on bikes ?

First time there. I apparently stumbled upon a diamond in the rough. Everyone was so helpful, including my fellow patrons. Bob and Patrick went out of their way to instruct, clarify, and help replace the bearings in my crank case (where the pedals are), as well as tune up the brakes and de-railers. It only cost me $22, so I also made a donation to this fantastic non-profit

Went by today to get my tire changed and handle-bar aligned, and the staff were excellent! Douglas and Patrick were so kind and thoughtful, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The staff sincerely wanted to help and I left with my bike working great and more knowledge about how to fix it in the future. I will certainly be returning, thank you!

An absolutely wonderful resource to the community! Stopped in and was warmly welcomed with no prior experience working on bikes. Quickly found myself with my sleeves rolled up, engaged in the basics of changing a tire and on to diagnosing and repairing mechanics I've never even thought to assess! Many thanks to this friendly and helpful bunch! Had a lot of fun and will be looking forward to participating in another open shop.
