10/10 experience. I’ve been a customer of A1 for many years, and they never disappoint. Kristen in the office and Dennis, the owner, are both incredible—professional, honest, and truly great people to work with. I wouldn’t trust my vehicles anywhere else and can’t recommend them highly enough.

Great body work and communication during the process, very thorough in compliance with Subaru standards, and arranged for a seamless rental experience.

I came in for an estimate after the Providence garbage truck hit and ran my car on my neighborhood street and one of the lovely ladies with the blonde hair who works in the front/reception area was nice enough to get some Compound and took the scratch right off along with telling me how to fix the dent they left for cheaper. She was very nice and professional. If I have any concerns with my vehicle in the future I will definitely return!! Thank you again 💕💕

Great friendly service. Wanted to see if they can adjust the hood on my corvette and if so make an appointment. A gentleman came out to take a look at it and said I'll be right back. Came back with a tool and bam! done in 5 minutes. The tech new just what he needed to do. Nice job! If I trust them with my vette then you can trust them with anything.

I have been a customer of A1 for almost 10 years. Bringing a car anywhere as a young woman is always nerve wracking, but I can say without a shadow of a doubt that the folks at A1 are THE BEST!!!! Kristen (especially my girl Kristen!), Tara, Mark, Ed, and everyone else!! They do the best job around and literally treat you like family. There’s no other place that I would trust with me or my car!

Great service! both ladies at the front desk were fantastic in helping me with explaining how things work and made me feel confident and comfortable with leaving my car. My car was spotless and shiny when I picked it up. High reccomend. Loved the office dog!

The bodywork result was great - my car is unironically in better condition than when I got it - but what stood out to me was how straightforward the whole process was! They worked with my insurance company, dealt with Enterprise for the rental car, and provided me with frequent updates so I always knew where my car was in their process. Easy recommend.

This is a nicest, most professional, and quality body shop in all of Providence, not even just East Providence. The women at the front as so sweet and funny along with having a very cute dog to entertain your wait time. The work done by the shop is unmatched and my car left the shop in better condition than before my small accident. Worked perfectly with rental systems and insurance claims. Couldn't have had a better experience! They even ran through the car wash across street for a full service cleaning before giving it back!

Dennis, Kristen, and the entire A1 team go above and beyond to ensure satisfaction. The repairs were done with incredible scrutiny in less time than expected, and they coordinated everything directly with the insurance company, making it simple and easy. Highly recommended!

My 5-year-old car came back to me better than before and was detailed on the inside really well as a bonus. I felt well-taken care of in a stressful situation and everyone I interacted with were great. They guarantee their work and my husband had to take them up on that when a leaky AC revealed itself in the summer, months after a front-end accident. They took care of it quickly for him with no stress. You can tell A1 takes pride in their work and doesn't cut corners. I hope not to need them in the future but it's one choice I won't have to think about if I need a body shop in the future.

A1 Custom Auto Body did very good quality and thorough body repair work on my car that had gotten rear-ended in an accident. They made sure to get internal components replaced and submitted a couple supplements to get the required repair work done. And Tara is a really good customer interface person; she is very thorough and professional and she made the whole experience an easy one.

I'll definitely be back again if need be so with my car for any repairs. I was so highly satisfied with this business and how they treated me. Andreas, went above and beyond to accommodate me in making sure everything came out perfect and the ladies in the office were also very pleasant. I will for sure be recommending your services. I had an exceptional experience with Dennis and his team at A1. I have high praise for their professionalism, attention to detail, and dedication to customer service. What I loved was that they handled all of the stressful elements that are associated with having an accident: dealing with insurance, arranging rental pick ups and so forth. No one who has endured an accident wants these additional hassles. In my case, they even went above and beyond by filling my car with gas and supplying me with a free car battery after mine died on the day of my pick up. Clearly, Dennis and his team have high standards and skills. I highly recommend them all around.

Top notch people. I had a nightmare at a previous body shop. The service and people here were fantastic. They even got the aftermarket emblems for my car to restore it back to how it was before the accident!

This is rare gem of a business that always puts the customer first. From start to finish, a great experience with A-1 custom auto body making the process super easy to get body repair work done on my Subaru. They were knowledgable and explained every step, ensuring everything was completed with the utmost quality in line with their certified status. Beyond the quality of the work, they worked with the insurance directly which removed any remaining stress on my part.

The team at shop are excellent, the woman in the front named Kristen goes over and beyond to make sure your vehicle is taken care of and all insurance problems are handle. There techs in the shop are the best and treat every car like it was there own. I have been going here for years with any of my cars that have been hit and receive it back better then new. 💯 rating in my book and you’ll never find a better place for your car

The only reason I’m giving 5 stars is because I can’t give 10 stars. The work is superior, unmatched and unbeatable. Car is returned to you like its showroom new. A1 Custom Autobody is the only body shop I recommend.

There is not enough good things to say about A1. I bought my truck in to be repaired after being rear-ended. They walked around the truck with me and explained to me on what they were going to do. I got text messages from A1 every step of the repair. I got a call saying that my truck was ready to be picked up. When I got there my truck looked like it was existing a showroom. My car looks fantastic ! Not only does it look like I was never crashed, but they also buffed my headlights that were a bit clouded, removed residual glue from removing tint off of all 4 windows and buffed the side that wasn’t crashed to make it look nicer. I had to take my car following a minor accident, and I must say the service was exceptional. They were incredibly professional and attentive providing me updates at each step of repair process. The alignment of panels and paint-job were top notch. The car looked as good as new. They even detailed my car before returning it which was a delightful surprise. I would highly recommend them.

This is the best auto body shop I have ever dealt with .Major damage to drivers side and yet , the passenger side looks freshly painted !!!unreal . Not to mention the car looks better then when I bought it at 100 miles. I cannot recommend them enough not to mention the car was only there for a week A++

Currently I own 5 vehicles… the place I last had done worked at sucked and I seen all the 5 star reviews and thought cool I’ll try it next. I have all newer cars but I also have a 97 eclipse GST spyder convertible only 31k miles no rust in good overall condition. I wanted to get the headlight oxidation fixed, the weatherstripping replaced, the plastic fixed Or replace then also get the paint showrooms condition with no scratches, swirls, dents anything. I called told them what I wanted done she asked if insurance I said no this is what I need done and I’m paying cash she said ok we can get you in quickly instead of waiting 4-5 weeks to get you in if it was insurance. The guy who was suppose to give me a quote might know estimates but doesn’t know cars. Automatically saw the car and asked the year. Told him 97. He said it’s already in good condition just sell it as is probably get the same amount of money…. Like what? Last I checked mint condition cars sell more than ones that need some work. Then he says well we won’t be interested in this work we don’t do restoration I said what? You guys only take accidents? Well I’m not going to take someone off a 10,000-20,000 insurance job to work on this. I said it must be really cheap to do what I’m asking what would ballpark be if you guys did do it. He wouldn’t answer kept saying we wouldn’t do it until I said just give me a damn roundabout. He says probably a few thousand dollars… So this place would rather take insurance jobs that are NOT all 10-20000 jobs and they are a pain with paying without a supplement and they take forever to pay. Then he tried saying well it’s very old what if tabs break or we can’t find weather stripping. I said really dude? Even I know this isn’t a 100 year old car with obsolete parts. I can get the damn weather stripping , tabs, screws anything even on eBay brand new. He said then you can get it yourself and do it lol. I said yeah might be better off instead of paying this joke place thousands of dollars cash and them not wanting my current and future business. Make that make sense. Don’t fall for the reviews. This is the type of place that forgot where they came from. I mean really had the balls to say find a mom and pop shop to do the work… I guess thousands of dollars cash is petty money for these people. There are sooo many auto body shops in my opinion do what he says support the mom and pop shops not guys like them.

I am so so happy with the experience that I had with this shop! My car got damaged on the highway by a piece of ice and there were a couple of dents on the roof and the hood of my car and not only did they repair the dents, they did a phenomenal job with the painting and detailing. My car honestly looks better than it did when I picked it up. Right from the moment I brought my car there, I knew it was going to be a great experience. I will definitely be referring all my friends and family to this shop and if I ever need any more work, I know where to go!!:))

A1 Custom did a phenomenal job on my Buick. Replaced was the drivers side door, front quarter pannel, front bumper and hood alignment, headlight, front rim and hub bearing.. The car was painted/blended & just really looks great..
