Note - they DO NOT buy steel scrap but did have a dumpster for me to put it in for free.

From a commercial perspective, Ocean State Metals is fantastic to work with!
They easily handle large bundles of scrap from our company, and consistently have pricing/offers that are well above competitors.
More importantly, they have an excellent customer service team and quick response time from all departments. I can't tell you how many scrap recycling companies have lost our business due to poor and/or rude communication. Our sales rep, Elizabeth, is fantastic, and wins our bid every time we run scrap.
This place has gone downhill since the old man ran it. Was quoted a price on a very sizable amount of scrap. Once they picked it all up they changed the prices. Very bad business practices and the old man would have never done anything like this. If you want to get treated fairly and with respect you should definitely find another place!
Owner was very uptight,only wanted to do big business, he was not happy about my prices questions either!! So I'll go some where else and advise others to do so
Too!!! Unless you got a rolloff dumpster full of scrap he seems to not want to be bothered ,very arrogant,
I pulled in with a 53' trailer, thinking the dock was that slanted one near the street, so I had to turn around inside. It'll have cars and be tight. Probably best to do what this boss LTL driver did and pull up on what I figured was a private drive and back in from across the street. Time was reasonable, people helpful.
