Just had my 2007 Tacoma frame work done at this facility. Professional, courteous , and pleasant staff. Vehicle was returned clean and repaired. I strongly recommend this facility for frame work. It was a little pricey but I believe a job well done. I highly recommend !

Been going to Auto Rust for over 6 years now with my 2004 Ram 3500. I do the recommended frame touch-ups every couple of years because all the road salt during the winter months. Frame still looks great. Couldn’t be happier with their service. Highly recommend.

I left a not so good review snd i wanted to change it so here i go, there was a miscomunication on the work to be done and thsts all. I got the frame repaired and now i need some mechanical work done at my garage. Please note when you mess with undercarriage of your car you will have to take it for mechanical afterwords. Auto rust does frame work only, thats what they do!! My apologies guys grateful to you for getting me back on the road

Brought my truck here on May 13th to get it descaled and undercoated. The mechanic told me the whole process would take 2 weeks from the time they start. They promised my truck would be in by the end of the week. 3 weeks passed and I called them to check on the status on my truck May 31st. They told me they haven't even touched the truck yet and that they had 8 cars they had to do before mine. Not a single call from them in 3 weeks and my truck sat in their lot. I lost $1200 from using a car rental while it was there. When I showed up to retrieve my truck, all I got was "sorry, I thought you had other vehicles to drive". This place should literally be shut down. I will never recommend anyone to this dump of a place.

I bought a rear spare tire cross member for my 05 gmc 3500 off of these guys.looking fir a quality heavy duty replacement part ..i would say it's very good quality build for a fraction of the price it would cost to make myself. It was a.very quick delivery before expected. It sped up my build quite well.. its in paint booth drying right now for install

My 2003 Toyota Tacoma sat in my driveway for months because a local shop said it needed a whole new rear end, and here in the northeast, one couldn't be found. The truck had a newer frame (Toyota recall) and lots of new body parts (stand-still rear-end on the Newport bridge) and only 146,000 miles. It seemed tragic to write off a great truck for lack of a rear end. Lo and behold, Auto Rust Technicians was recommended BY THE TOYOTA DEALER! And they fixed it! I am now a very happy camper. I was willing to put a couple of thousand dollars into the truck, and this repair was less than half of that. HOORAY!

I don’t post reviews often, but I felt I had to do one for Auto Rust Technicians. Easily the #1 place to go for frame rust repairs in the area and I would even say if you’re not in the area I would still recommend making the trip. I have a 2014 Silverado 1500, last year as I was installing rear shocks, chunks of the frame were falling off on the rear crossmember and shock mount. Over the next few months my spare tire crossmember rotted as well. Safe to say my heart dropped when I saw that. I use fluid film every year and that stuff works great, but it doesn’t create new metal and the frame was just too far gone on those spots for fluid film to do anything. Then I decided to reach out to Auto Rust Technicians. Miguel promptly sent me a message on Yelp and we scheduled an appointment for an estimate. Miguel and everyone working there were all extremely helpful and quickly put my worries to ease. Gave me a very fair price to fix those couple frame issues. They were very stand up, honest, and friendly people throughout this whole process. This is a very daunting repair for many people including myself, and for a repair like this to be handled so calmly, easily, and professionally is not something you see anymore. The repair went as smoothly as I could have imagined with a quick turnaround. Any time I had questions leading up to my repair date Miguel answered them. I reached out at night expecting a message back the next morning, but Miguel responded within 5 minutes at 10pm at night. That’s awesome customer service. The welds look great, the coating on the bare metal looks and feels strong and I noticed many people are having positive long term results with the coating in reviews. Don’t listen to the handful of negative reviews, I can tell you first hand that there’s no one better to fix your frame. I had an amazing experience here. If I ever need to have this done again on any cars, they’ll always have my business. Thank you again!

Where do i start. Well i took my 2008 FJCruiser for an oil change. The mechanic call me over and said u have a great deal of issues on your frame. He started pointing them out .I had corrosion, rot, rust from the front to the back. He was even talking a rear end replacement because there were spots that were rotted. He said i don't usually say this but i would get rid of this vehicle . This vehicle is unsafe. I was sick to my stomach cause i really liked the vehicle and it only had 125000 miles on it.. To make a long short.I found out about Auto Rust Technicians thur my Son. He said check out there web site. I did and gave them a call, made and appointment .Brought it in so they could looked at it. Told me it could be fixed, that made me happy. Made an appt that day. They made me feel at ease. They were so nice. They definately saved me alot of money and they definately saved my vehicle. I can't Thank them enough .. Great Job!!

I recently got my jeep back from Auto Rust for the 2nd frame repair. The first time was 5 years ago and they did a stellar job. The coating they applied after repairing that frame section is still holding up well. This year 2 more sections developed rot and I sent it back to them. As expected, they exceeded my expectations. Welds are great, coating is clean and carefully applied, labor rates are very reasonable, and turnaround was quick. There is a reason I've towed my jeep here twice even when I could go somewhere much closer.

I love Auto Rust Tech. I love how they are so professional and up front. I gave appointment this coming April 2022, its was not even a second thought if I would have the work done here. Have you seen the price of used trucks now days? 01-2022. Thank you Rust Tech.

I got a 2005 Tundra from a car dealer. I found a lot of frame rot on the inside front of the frame. The car dealer was great and sent it to Auto Rust Technicians. Miguel was my contact. They found more rot than I found. Miguel said two weeks and the dealer said ok he would pay. It was not clear if the truck would be done in two weeks or started in two weeks. It was less than two weeks and I called to get a date of completion. They said it would be done the next day ahead of schedule by 4 days. Auto Rust Techs did a great job ahead of schedule. If I have and Frame rust problem on any car or truck I have i'll be going to them. In my opinion they are the best. Thankyou Auto Rust Technicians!!

Think twice before you bring your vehicle here. The “shop manager” Larry is a backstabbing hack job who will rush through your job leaving your vehicle unsafe to drive 👌 Shelby, a welder, is inexperienced and makes more mistakes than she does repairs, the other shop manager, Miguel, is nice to your face while he is taking your money, but won’t answer your calls or emails when you realize the hack job his employees have done, and don’t bother trying to contact the owner Jerry because he has no idea what actually goes on in his shop because his shop managers lie to him and talk poorly about him behind his back. Don’t let them fool you, they are no longer the only rust repair shop around!

Took my vehicle to another shop to finish the job that was only half done. Second shop looked inside of my running boards and found all kinds if rust and rot that was just welded and bondoed over. Parts used were for a different year than my truck. Having to have the entire job redone. Waste of money do not go to this shop

I missed the Toyota recall by 3 months. I had 2 holes on the frame to body mounts. I knew by friends that have had work conducted there that they are the best. Not only did they do a great job but Miguel’s is and genuine guy and I wanted to get the frame blasted but he said that it was in very good condition and could hold off for several years. How many would just take the money and do the job anyway! Awesome place second to none and worth every penny! Will be back and continue to let others know where to get rust repair done right.

The crew at auto rust is amazing! Took my 98 dodge pick up to get the spring mounts and the front of the frame welding and patched up and they did an amazing job for a very good price. They went above and beyond and went though the whole truck, bleeding my brakes, fixing a throttle cable, and installing a few other parts for me. I highly recommend auto rust to anyone that needs fabrication or welding done on any of their cars or trucks!

Drove all the way up to ART from NJ to have the ‘originators’ of the safe-t-cap do their thing and restore my Jeep TJ. Turn-around was quick. Less than a week. They also stuck to their estimated price and went beyond, extending the repair area to get the job done thoroughly without charging extra. Very happy w the outcome. This was approx 3 years ago and Im still rust free. Maintenance is key, as you should continue to lubricate your frame seasonally, as well as washing off salt and snow residue via regular car washing during the winter season. I truly appreciate Auto Rust Tech’s skilled staff and the effort put into my repair.

Brought my 99' jeep in for repair. What a great job! I could notice the difference as soon as I drove away, how tight it felt. All the welds look great and the undercoating was very thorough. They came in right on the estimate and time that was quoted. Couldn't be happier!!

Jerry has aligned himself with a great team here. These guys know what they are doing and do it well. There is no reason for 1 or 2 stars, those are either fake customers or uninformed customers. I traveled 200 plus miles one way to have Auto Rust install their unique Safe-T-Caps on my First Generation Tacoma. They saved another one! Sure I could have bought the parts from them and had them shipped, and have a local/closer welder do the work. Why would I do that when the shop that invented the concept is in RI? Northern NH to RI the trip was well worth it. Don't trust the ratings, do your own research on Jerry and his shop, and you learn what I did. These guys are the real deal. Jeeps, Landcruisers, and Tacomas being worked on when I went for my vehicle check and price estimate. Sure its not cheap , but if you truly love your ride and want it to last, then you have to make a decision. I am pleased with the work, and they came in a touch under the estimate, who does that?!? Most shops come in over the estimate. They basically reframed my Taco at half the price of a complete reframe from a dealer. Plus the Safe-T-Caps have better drain holes than OEM frames, and are made from American Steel. No reason not to come here. Check the online forums, thousands of owners have bought and used these caps. Jerry & Miguel are no joke. Well worth the 3 trips I made from my Gen 1 Tacoma double cab.

Brought in my 2003 Tacoma for what I thought was just a small section of rot. A thorough review revealed 3/4 of the passenger frame rail (trans to rear shock) were pretty rotted. We also noticed the cross member by the transmission was decayed. Miguel gave me a very honest price. The work was done and it looks great. I just returned from a ski trip and the truck actually felt more solid.. it was tank like. I didn't expect that at all. They also applied fresh undercoat to the entire frame. The repairs were on time and according to the quote. There were no surprises. If you have a Tacoma good drive train and a rusty frame don't scrap it. These guys can handle it.

If I could give zero stars, I gladly would! Absolutely horrible experience with this business. Took our 2007 Dodge truck here for undercoating. They had the truck for almost a week, had several conversations with Miguel and even wrote in black sharpie on the rockers to blast and coat out to the rockers. Went to pick up the truck and the rockers weren't done, found several bare spots, left aluminum foil underneath and had a wire ripped from underneath that went to the back up camera. They painted the rockers and tried to hook the wire back up but stated that the camera still didn't work. When I asked what they were going to do to fix the camera they said that they arent mechanics and they cant fix it. Then I was told that they aren't liable for that kind of stuff. No where in the shop or contract does it say that they aren't liable for damages. They also stated that they aren't used to working with newer vehicles like that with extra wiring underneath. The sign in their shop says that they will "earn" you as a life long customer...that's far from the truth. Very disappointed in this business.

I don’t do reviews normally but I have to give these guys the full treatment. I was told by a mechanic that I should not drive my 2001 Takoma (what else). I shopped the internet and came across Auto Rust. Drove to there shop for an estimate. Left the truck over the weekend. Much to my surprise I received a call on Tuesday that the truck was done and for less than the estimate. That has never happened before. Can’t say enough good things about these guys.

Very nice and knowledgeable crew! I bought frame safe t caps from them a few years back but had a friend do the welding and undercoat and now, years later the pieces look just as good as the first day. I just went back to them now and had a different part of my frame replaced with their safe t caps, this time hiring them to weld and undercoat. The welds came out great and they did a nice job of undercoating the parts they replaced. Miguel did a great job of updating me on it's status and even sent me picture of the work done through out the process. The work was done fast and the estimate they gave me before they started was spot on. I would highly recommend and i will definitely use them again in the future for other frame repair needs.

Really great work! I brought my 2000 Jeep tj in to replace the two main center beams, and they did a great job, welds are professional and really nice, and with the undercoating it is perfect! The owner and employees are very nice and helpful, would recommend auto rust technicians to anyone withrust build up on there frame or anywhere elts underneath, I believe you can also order the frame peices too if u want to do it your self. They can do frames on many cars/trucks not just jeeps.

Fixed the cracked and rusted frame on my 1970 Dodge Challenger Convertible. Flawless professional welds, and the new frame parts look factory fresh! (Thanks Mike!) Very detail oriented service with the most friendly knowledgeable staff. Great price for what you will be getting here. Nice that Jerry (owner) is a Mopar fan too! Will definitely recommend these guys to all of my friends and fellow car fanatics.

These Guys are the Best in the business! Monte and I drove up from Boston to meet these Pro's. They give him a thorough assessment and considering hes' the last of his kind (1988 Chevy Montr Carlos SS) I knew it would be extensive beyond their usual scope. But they took him in! And I drove him home with new rear body mounts which had rotted out, a new frame to protect our gas tank and rust protection undercoat. Basically we got the works from some Extraordinary talented and caring guys. I hope to see you guys next year 2016 for phase 2!

I drove to Rhode Island for the holidays to visit family and my 2002 Altima had incredibly rusty floor boards (to the point it was not safe to drive). This place saved my car (I love the thing and except for its rust problems it still ran like a dream). Wasn't sure what to expect, but they were able to quickly fix my car by cutting out ALL of the rust and replacing everything and they even added the undercoating so it won't re-rust! I'm very happy I took my car to this place and I highly recommend this place! My car runs so much more quieter and smooth now, made the drive home from Rhode Island much more of a pleasure!
