I had car trouble, went to Firestone and they referred me to Glen Burnie Transmission, who referred me to Wells Automotive. After getting bounced twice I was getting desperate. Wells couldn't take my car that day, but took me next week. They quickly found what the problem was & fixed it pronto.

We've been working with them for years with several different cars. They've always been amazing. Quick, great communicators, and given us great service. Whenever someone in the area says they need a mechanic I always recommend them.

Was struggling to find a shop to fix a steering problem. Decided to try Well’s from reviews. Turned out to be a great choice. They solved my issue that two other shops did not resolve. They also noticed a brake line leaking and tightened it, which showed me they took time to look things over. We didn’t notice the leak until returning home that day and saw a small amount of brake fluid on the garage floor. My service adviser, Zac, was great to deal with!

I called on 7/11 and talked with Katie. I told her what I needed done and she checked with the dealer and let me know the cost of just replacing my missing part or replacing the part and what it was connected to. I told her I wanted the entire assembly replaced because it was the original and the car is 19 years old. She didn't give me the usual "we'll have to inspect it first for X amount!" My appointment was 7/16. When you walk in, it was a warm and inviting atmosphere. I was told it would take 3 hours and I waited. While replacing my complaint, another original part was discovered broken (I heard the rattling driving to the shop) and I was informed the cost to replace that. I'm so very happy with the way I (and my car) was treated here. There wasn't the usual upsell, like most places. I DEFINITELY will return and refer friends and family!

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while. This past summer, my car started missing and also had a headlight out. I don’t have a lot of money because I’m on Social Security and a rather small pension. So I was rather scared about getting it fixed. I didn’t know where to go.. I had been to dealers in the area, but they were so expensive. I decided on Wells because they were close by. Long story short, The office staff Was super friendly, especially the woman working the front desk. She kept me apprised of everything that was being done. And gave me choices on how to save money. The tech who worked on the car did also. I highly recommend them.

Stay away from this shop and people they are the biggest frauds they will try to charge u 800 dollars just to look at the car do not pay them take them to court if they try to get over on fraudulent charges this plays needs to be closed due to fraudulent activity and money hungry issues

Took my vehicle in on 8/20/25 Upon entering this establishment I was greeted With pleasantries. During the process I interacted with Juanita she was very professional, knowledgeable and pleasant. My vehicle repair was done in a reasonable time. I will be using them in the future for my repairs. Wells automotive, thanks again. I will be recommending to others!

I highly recommend Wells. They are family owned/operated, and do great work for a fair price. I had my vehicles there many times. All great experiences, and they guarantee their work.

When I tell you I love this place because of the people. Juanita sat on the phone with me for 15 minutes explaining things to me without making me feel stupid. The mechanic spoke to me not at me. My car was fixed in a timely manner. And they were reasonably priced. Told my brother about them and he loved the work they did on his car. All in all I had a very pleasant interaction from the time I dropped off my car to well after I picked my car up. They are definitely my go to shop for now on.

Stay away from this place. Took my vehicle there and was told it needed a new transmission due to a winding noise. When I took it for a second opinion, they found all it needed was a new alternator. If you choose to use this place, and your vehicle gets assigned to a tech named Jake, ask for a new tech…this guy is lazy, communicated horribly and acts like he couldn’t care less about helping you or doing his job. Find a different place and thank me later

Friendly (customer service and pricing) and efficient! Stopped by at the last minute for a tire mount and balance before a road trip and I was out in under an hour! Thank you Katie and team!!

I tried to schedule work on an OBD2 code issue for a Maryland inspection. Ray Wells looked at my details and said no work needs to be done. He also took the time to explain the technical details of the OBD2 error code. I went to the testing site and found him to be absolutely right (Passed). An incredibly honest and helpful business model. Big thanks!!

Actually had appt scheduled for today (01/22/25) but we dropped our car off on Monday (01/20/25) and was told if they get a chance to look at our car sooner, they would let us know. I received a call yesterday morning Tuesday (01/21/25) around 8am letting us know car was looked at and would be fixed by end of the day. We have been customers for over 20 years and can't say enough about how well Wells is and top notch customer service each and every time we need them.

Staff quickly serviced my dead battery! They picked it up in the AM so i would not miss my afternoon dr. appt - I would highly recommend Wells Auto - excellent service that you rarely get at most places these days ! Thanks Mr. Wells & team.

Ray and team fully serviced my 2017 Tundra with TLC! They meticulously performed my extensive laundry list of required services, and went above and beyond by inspecting and identifying other safety areas - including an exhaust system leak. Wells made those necessary repairs and now my girl runs like a dream! I highly recommend WELLS AUTOMOTIVE!! ❤️

Wells Automotive has been my “go to” place for ALL my repairs. My husband started going there, after a recommendation from a friend, about 30 years ago. My dear husband, Charles, passed away 10 years ago, but I continue to come to Wells. The staff, and technicians are friendly, very knowledgeable, and ALWAYS trustworthy. I KNOW that when I bring my vehicle here that it will expertly repaired, and I will never be taken advantage of with any repairs that are unnecessary. Thank you, Ray, Katie, and amazing staff for making all my visits pleasant and stressfree. ?❤️

Took my cars to Wells Automotive a couple of times over the past few years. They are very polite. However, I do not recommend this shop as I had multiple bad experiences. First, I had them do a rear brake job on my 2018 BMW X3 and they charged me almost double the actual price for parts. Then, I had them inspect my 2014 Porsche 911 and they failed the inspection and told me I needed new rotors, which turned out to be completely false. So they lost my trust after those two incidents, and I take my cars elsewhere.

First time I used Wells. It was for tranmission fluid change. I wasn't sure what exactly I needed and they gave me options and explained why they would choose which option. They were very professional, and friendly. When I picked up my car I spoke with Zach he recommended other service and repai I would needed and explained why and which to do first. He was very friendly and knowledge and was not forcing a sale. I recommend them.

Easily the best auto shop I've ever been to! Katie was very thorough, communicative, and friendly. She troubleshot and fixed a few different issues on a used Subaru that I had recently purchased, from a malfunctioning infotainment system to an a/c condenser that needed replacing, all while coordinating with my warranty company to get the covered repairs documented and approved. Wells is definitely my go-to shop now.

I thought because my warranty company suggested this shop that I'd be in good hands. My transmission made the dashboard start singing Christmas Carrols 1st thing in the morning, so I dropped it off there. Turns out I only had a leak and a faulty sensor. They replaced the transmission fluid and made sure the sensor was fine before I picked it up again. 2 weeks later, I had another mechanic take a look. My transmission started riding rough again and I smelled transmission fluid every time I hopped in my car. My new mechanic found TRANSMISSION FLUID ALL OVER MY ENGINE. The plug was never replaced when Wells Auto serviced my car. I had to pay another $400 on top of the negligence that I PAID FOR.

Sold our house the other day. Were going to celebrate somewhere but the car wouldn't start, as if the battery had been drained. We carry an emergency battery pack for this eventuality, so we were able to start the vehicle and visit a nearby well-rated repair shop, Wells Automotive. Juanita took care of us, getting a new battery installation, a long-overdue oil change, and a tire rotation in relatively short order. We went home, picked up a couple great pizzas from the newly opened Angeli's around the corner from our apartment, and celebrated with champagne that evening. Grateful to Wells Automotive for saving the day for us! The photo is not our battery; ours was so much worse.

My car broke down and I took it to Wells the other day. They were so kind and efficient. They charged a super reasonable amount and had my car back to me in a day! The people in the office were wonderful as well. I'll definitely be going back in the future.

I have a 2010 Pathfinder. Going to Wells Automotive for all my needs has been a great experience. Everything from fixing electical issues to the regular oil change - their mechs are great. Customer service is always awesome and they communicate with any price changes or issues that they run into. Some customers may think that their prices are a bit high, but really they're not. They charge a fair price for the work and parts. And really...you can afford it, compared to a new car! They'll keep my Battle Tank running for another 100K easy. I won't go anywhere else for my car's maintenance.

I have used Wells Automotive for several years now. I first went to them with an emissions problem with my show car, a vehicle that was a 2010 Dodge Challenger with extensive upgrades. I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the shop. Now I also take my 2015 Ford F-150 to them for all of its service needs, even tho the regular oil changes should be covered for free at the dealer where I purchased it. The bottom line is that I trust Wells Automotive for their honesty.

My car broke down on the side of 97 in an area that was pretty unknown to me. I looked for mechanics near me and found that Wells had the best reviews on Google. When I called and Juanita answered the phone, I could immediately see why. Juanita was so calm and reassuring. She offered to get me towed to the shop (which I declined because I had coverage through my auto insurance) and calmed me down on the phone. When I arrived, Juanita was not there but the staff that was present, was just as attentive. I received a diagnostic and estimate in a timely manner and was updated with any changes to approve quickly. Juanita even arranged for me to be able to pay over the phone and pick up my car when they were closed because of my unusual work schedule! I can't recommend this place and Juanita highly enough!

They replaced an engine in my son's car and several other components to get it back on the road. Katie called me regularly to give me updates. She is very knowledgeable and offered great advice when I wasn't sure about something. The technicians did a great job and made what seemed to be a very difficult repair look easy. I am very impressed with this shop. Everything from my first call to them to picking up the car was pleasant. The rebuilt car is running great. Thank you so much!
