The lay out of the facility and the people who work there make it so easy to recycle.

The guy at the gate is obnoxious. He always gives me a hard time bc I a truck registered in my wife’s name in aa county and my license is in another county. The trash is from aa county and the truck is registered here so why does it matter who is driving. And why do I have to get out of my truck to hand him the documents so he doesn’t have to get out of his chair. The rest of the staff is great but this obnoxious guy and the stupid rule are rediculous. A person is allowed to have more than one address. I dump my Garrett county trash in Garrett county and my aa county trash in aa county. Really what is the issue here.

The place to go to get rid of junk, recycle old appliances and used oil!

How do you raise my property taxes 400$ close the dump on Sundays because of the economy …then post hours until 4:00 pm then tuen people away and make them leave and no dump at 3:00 pm total Co BS. BUT I GUESS THAT CAN DO ANYTHING THEY WANT

Closes at 320, not open on Sundays, long lines and the guy checking IDs and registrations is slow, takes his job too seriously. Municipal dumps like this are meant to give people an easy place to dispose of their trash which is good for the environment, but with barriers to entry like this, no wonder why there are still people dumping trash alongside some of the roads and donation stations. This is for the tax payers and the environment, do better!

A bit frustrated, I left work early to drop off yard waste, arrive at 3:20 and road/access is closed! Sign says “Closes at 4pm” website say “Monday - Saturday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.” but neither are accurate.

I had trash, they accepted it? so I can give 5 stars since they accept and take trash and never question what’s in the large trash bags lol

This place has it all! It’s very well organized and clean for what it is. I took my used engine oil and was able to pour it into a steel sink like container and go. Only issue is I had to wait in a long line with truck loads of trash. I wish there were a separate line for oil and paint disposal because you can be in and out so fast.

Tried to take a load of trash here on my day off but got turned away as it was loaded in my unmarked company truck that I use as my personal vehicle. So instead of using a dump that is 5 minutes from my house, I have to take it to a different facility that will allow the use of a company truck.

The dump is great overall. Everyone is friendly EXCEPT for the guy who checked IDs on 01/11/25. No people skills and rude.

Residential use only, non-commercial, no tandem wheeled trailers allowed. Recycles just about everything except Dirt, that's a No-no. License and Registration required to enter the premises. If approved, you can get a sticker for your vehicle, for quicker entry. Hazardous waste products are only accepted on specific days. All staff are very polite and accommodating.

Super fast easy and you don’t have to worry about figuring out what to do with all your trash lol

I'm not sure how to rate a place used for trash. It is convenient when you have something that won't wait for regular pickup. I mostly go there with yard waste, but basement clean out is just as easy. Avoid the weekend and don't go when the gates first open. UPDATE 10/17/22. I repeat my recommendation not to go at the 8:00 opening time. There was a long line waiting for the gates to open when I arrived at about 7:50 AM.

Very courteous people. Everything is well organized and tidy. Will dump here again. Update: you can take a lot of stuff here. It's easy to navigate around.

This location is great. Very organized and they take just about everything. I like that they check ID and registration now…a lot of people were using it that aren’t county residents.

Long line to get in. Stickers on the windshield are no longer being accepted. Have your driver's license and registration ready to show.

Great facility! Very thankful that this place exist as the gated community that I live in has failed so far in providing and maintaining appropriate recycling bins with educating signage for those new to recycling. BIG THANKS!

Well, as with anything related to the AA County Departments, this site could be managed a lot better. For starters, the individual at the 2nd guard hut who assigns you the numbered parking space to off load your debris, he needs to be replaced. This individual takes too long to do his simple job of telling you were to go. On my visit, the line from his hut was almost at the entrance gate ( hut #1). The problem was not the volume of people in line, like the AA Dept. would like you to believe, but rather his slowness in processing people through his check point. Honestly, there is almost always an issue when visiting this Dover Road site.

Being in construction, and owning a truck you visit the dump a lot. And you get to know the people who work there. Most of them, most of them are good people. I was in and out of there quick and the young guys doing their Community hours are always helpful to unload your vehicle with you. But everybody knows the paint man. A little strange LOL but always nice to me.

It's busy here on a Saturday, but this is a great place to get rid of anything. I've dumped old landscaping stones, cooking oil, used motor oil, scrap metal, and regular household project waste. They've never told me I couldn't get rid of something here. Also, I've come here for hazardous waste drop off. They also take old paint here, so don't throw questionable items in the trash. Help preserve The Bay and dispose of your waste properly.

Had a few very bad experience a year or so ago, but lately it's been very easy to go to with helpful staff, and it's a very great resource to have so close by.

Great place to recycle. FYI every place does not need to except military ID ( I have a military id and I know this) and the reason why they ask for a drivers license is to prove you are not county hopping to dump your junk there. The majority of the time all people who work here are extremely helpful!

Great job AA county! I've lived in several states with very poor options for recycling. I greatly appreciate the Northern Recycling Center and the services it offers. I've used this facility to properly dispose of paint, oil, glass, trash, appliances, and yard waste. It is very very busy on Saturdays and every morning when the gate opens. Bring your drivers license and a vehicle registered in AA county.

It's a dump. It's pretty organized. You don't have random vehicles getting in the way when unloading your junk. The guy at the booth tells you where everything is and you drop it off and get outta there. Nothing much to it. Make sure you have your license and registration handy the first time. I, unfortunately did not have it ready. In fact, I'd never taken the registration out of the glove-box since I put it in there after receiving it from the MVA.
