Tif's is the only place I will take my Porsche. They're specialists...very knowledgable. Prices are extremely fair. Whole staff is great...incredibly helpful and they really want you to be happy with your car.
I moved to Annapolis last summer and the hardest part of the transition was leaving my mechanic of 10+ years in Rhode Island. I am pleased to report that Tif's has made the relocation far easier than expected as it relates to car care, as they are already looking after a few different vehicles of mine. They are fair and inclined to avoiding unnecessary work, which is one of the clearest indications (to me, anyway) of a high-integrity environment. Thanks to the team there for enabling me to continue enjoying this hobby that I love so much.
Tif has been taking excellent care of my 1973 911 for nearly 30 years. I trust him completely. Nothing here is done cheap, but it is done right. He takes care of my newer cars as well and I have never had a complaint.

I had a service inspection and oil change for Porsche 911. Staff from reception to mechanics are professional and knowledgeable with great communication. I requested looking into a few concerns with my car and received great suggestions with some conservative ideas to address which I appreciate very much. I am super excited to find a local mechanic to help repair and maintain my car.
I am very sadden to have to write this review, however it is vitally import to express the service I received at Tif's Foreign Car Care. On or about 6 months ago, I selected this foreign Car care center to perform a full timing belt, water pump, tensioner replacement on my 2001 Audi A6 at cost.
A few weeks later, when I got my car back the power steering reservoir was empty due to a sudden leak in my power steering line and my vehicle would not go over 65 miles per hour without hesitation. I took the car back to them to express my concerns; however, they stated the work was perform and they used the proper tools. Everyone know works on vehicles know what really happen in this situation.
I left their office and took my car to another foreign car mechanic who identified the issue being the timing was off by 2 teeth or sprockets and provided me with photos to prove the issue when he attempt to put on the crank shaft tool. After the car were repaired, I went back to Tifs auto to discuss the work which fixed the problem and express a solution or reasonable settlement for the cost of my repairs they continued to express they used the proper tools to perform the work.
Now, 2 additional months pass, WHY did my water pump go bad!
It appears that Tifs auto, never replace the water pump or performed the work properly for which I paid. Furthermore, my power steering is needs repaired. This was never an issue with my car until I took it to this place.
I do not trust or recommend this shop for your foreign car maintenance. I will be writing a letter to the owner to see if maybe customers matter to his business.
They made repairs to the suspension in my 500SL that three other shops could not correct.
They also repaired a brake failure issue that I had with my 85 Ferrari 308 and were able to rebuild a valve that others wanted to replace.

I have trusted Tifs over 7 years with my Porsche, always ready when promised, a pleasure to work with and no surprises when the car is ready. The staff is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and true Porschephiles
The pre-purchase inspection is a waste of time and money. Didn't tell me about potential issues and lied about the engine never being over-revved. Now I'm stuck with a $20k repair bill. Don't trust this place.
Total knowledge on the Porsche Car -and Mercedes and BMW.....! Shop prices are lower than Annapolis Porsche but high enough to stay in business.... Great and friendly people!!!!
Kind people that claim to know Porsche's well. Sadly they do not deliver on their promise of good work. Their lack of care during the pre-purchase inspection lead me to purchase a car with major problems. If I would have known the problems they did not care to mention, I would have not purchased the vehicle. Buying a car long distance I trusted their expertise and now I have to pay the price. Avoid if possible and have another shop check their work.
