Was just at the store in line waiting buy my oil and antifreeze and the young gentleman looked at me seen me in line after this woman but helped a older gentleman that walked up to the counter before me so I just walked out no need to give my business to a place like that

This place always has an issue whether it’s they can’t open because they don’t have enough staff or their system is down. It’s always something. Out of the five times I have stopped at the store I’ve been able to once go in and buy what I need. Absolutely ridiculous.

Bought a steering wheel cover and asked if they could help put it on they said they aren’t allowed to go outside and “work on cars”. Since when did y’all stop doing the wiper blades or changing batteries or easy headlights? It’s not like they were low on staff either I saw MULTIPLE workers there. I understand it’s not mandatory for them to help but at the same time how do you expect customers to continue to come back if that’s how you treat them.

Walked in and the clerks were having a disgusting and loud homophobic conversation full of curse words. Wouldn't come here if you're gay, someone you love is gay, or are apparently wearing a sweater because that's gay too. Or have kids that you don't want to learn the F word yet. I've never been so disgusted in my life. What on earth is wrong with you? You've lost a lifelong customer for life at this location.

The review isnt about this particular Advanced Auto Store. Its about the company. There was a few times I need a specific part, such as headlamp bulbs for my vehicle, and Advance's site would lable it as a said part number. Well, their listings are sometimes wrong, and Ive found out the hard way, and theres no way I can return the said items because the package is already opened. I would look up an said part on google in general, and it would be listed as something completely different. Worst of all, corporate has been contacted a few times in recent's past, but they do not do anything to correct the problem. I highly recommend going to any competition for car parts, even if its a 20 minute distance in drive. One trip is still better than multiple because Advanced cant get their site straight

I had a problem taking a stripped lug nut off my car. Although, they didn't have the tool to get it off the employee was very helpful and concerned with my issue. Thank You Much young man! I got the nut off 2 hours later.

They dont scan your vehicle here do not go here, he said “we’re not a free standing building we dont scan here” i know the one in edgewater does, but thats not a free standing building either its connected to dominos so. Management better come up with a new strategy because how can you allow pan handlers stand in front of your store and employees deny you of company services.

Great customer service! The manager Jeff was extremely knowledgeable and helped us out get a new battery for our car what we thought was going to be a few hour detour turned into a 15 minute pit stop. Will be a lifetime customer after todays experience.

The auto parts I bought here fit my car. The folks at the counter were nice. The tool rental is also nice. Check online first though, you can usually get things cheaper if you buy online and pick up at store.

Had a bit of an emergency situation, Chris and his team were absolutely fantastic. They went above and beyond for my husband, myself, and our little one. Chris ended up helping my husband figure out how to fix the issue, and his team brought a chair around for me and my daughter to sit and wait in. One of the team members even gave her some crackers to snack on while we waited. They made a bad situation so much better by being friendly, kind, and helpful! So grateful!

I've purchased a couple batteries and an OBD reader here, and every experience has been a pleasure. Staff are super friendly, eager to troubleshoot together, and seem very knowledgeable. I have enjoyed every visit.

Hello I was in Annapolis location for emergency battery wasn't working So bought a new one Unfortunately employees were bussy watching the football game until I told them if the can help me to intall the battery they sed . they are not allude to do these any more I asked to provide me the tools & a cart they Gott me some off tools no many choice unfortunately I couldn't get anything to fit I went back I asked to the Manager please help me whit a 10 mm or adjustable wrench but he was really arrogant I when out side didn't know what to do my kids we're inside the car whit my wife sweating . when for second time Manager was pretending to help other customer but I understood he wasn't help me but any way I asked hem twice I acted really arrogant for second time

I bought an AC recharge canister which wouldn't fit my car. When I tried to return it, the manager refused the return. When I asked why, he said, "It's been used" and then went back to a conversation with an employee completely blowing me off. When I asked about the return policy the manager said, "It's manager's discretion. I'm not taking it back," and blew me off again. The staff at this particular store has been consistently rude and unprofessional.

Sent an employee there to purchase a light. The clerk sold us the wrong light for our vehicle(clearly we would rely on Advanced Auto to be an expert on parts needed for our vehicles) and then because we opened the light that they specifically sold to us and insisted was correct(which was not) they made us then buy the “correct” light and refused to refund us for the incorrect light they sold us. Very unfortunate that a highly recognized brand like advanced auto would maintain such low levels of customer service.

Went to get a replacement tail light, a clerk looked up the bulb for me and found the part which was great. Went to replace the bulb and it was the wrong one. Went back to the store to exchange the bulb and the supervisor told me that since it was opened and they “gave me the right bulb” it couldn’t be exchanged but I could just buy the bulb I needed. I explained the situation again and they just kept saying it was the right bulb. So I stopped arguing and purchased the new set of bulbs which actually fit. Incredibly ridiculous and frustrating.

Great parts and online order discounts. Giving only 3 stars because they canceled an order just because the part was "hard to find" in the store, the day I went to pick the parts, one of the employees confirmed that her coworker canceled it because he couldn't find it and it took her a couple minutes to find it herself. So I had to pay for the part again and wait almost 2 weeks for a refund.

I found what I needed easily enough but paid with the wrong card & the employee that had to process the return and redo the payment. It was all in one visit. Seems like they probably weren’t having a great day as me originally paying with the wrong card was annoying to him. He did process they return & repayment but I just felt like he was bothered by it. I will shop there again as I have many times without issue & hopefully see him on a better day.

I am very mad right now. Your hours online say you close at 9pm so I made sure to get there before then. I get there at 8:15 and they have the doors locked. I needed a new battery for my car because it’s dead I have no way to get to work or anywhere I would have made sure I got there before eight had I known that’s when they closed. The guy wouldn’t let me in even after I explained to him that their hours are wrong online. You guys really need to fix that because it makes it very difficult and frustrating for people that really need a part desperately and can’t get one even though they got there before the hours of operation that are stated online!

My local advanced is awesome! Especially the commercial department (PDQ); Chris is the most knowledgeable and helpful individual I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Give that man a raise!!

I visited on Thursday and I accidentally left my credit card there. I returned the next day and the line was long. One lady who had no help nor did she (seemingly) call for more assistance. She had to leave the counter to look for several parts throughout the store. This is unacceptable and she should have recognized her line of customers. People in line for purchases were impatiently bored and one person walked out. Thankfully I was able to get her attention and she did retrieved my card quickly. Hopefully they will read this review and take it to heart. Customer service is everything... STILL.

Very knowledgeable staff. The person I worked with was superior. As usual in some of these places, some of the staff can't take the time to say hello or "I am working on this or that" but no their I stand curious about what is happening and what I need to do for some attention.

This location has decent selection and the staff is helpful when needed. The reasoning for the low rating is for the lack of help when needed. This store always seems to be busy, no matter when, and there is always a line for checking out due to the short staffing. If you're coming in here just to pick up something off the shelf quick, you might be waiting for a bit to check out since there won't be enough staff behind the counter to ring you out. They're split between being a cashier AND doing parts look-ups for customers so that could take time. If there was just a dedicated cashier for those people that only need to pay for something off the shelf, that would speed things along. What frustrated me about a recent visit was that there were 2 gentlemen working the counter at this particular time. They were each assisting a customer, there was one person ahead of me in line and 4 more behind me. The 2 counter people were working with their customers to look up parts...then a 3rd worker comes out from the back and goes to stock the floor while the six customers were standing in line. That third worker maybe could've opened a register to assist.

I've never visited where they didn't have what I needed. The staff are knowledgeable and often have a better idea of what I need than I do. Prices seem reasonable. Staff are friendly, usually the wait isn't too long. Check out is efficient. A well-run business. The only drawback is the location, which is a little seedy.
