I wish that I had read Crystal's review before I bought my son's car here! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM! We had the same nightmare with the Title. Also, I purchased a 3-year Choice warranty. Annapolis NEVER paid the warranty company the $3,000.
I am writing this to warn others about the appalling treatment and lack of integrity at Annapolis Auto Auction. I purchased a 2012 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara (149k miles) and my experience has been a financial and professional disaster from start to finish.
To date, I have already invested $6,000 into this vehicle for tires, an oil change, a coolant flush (which led to the discovery of major engine flaws), and other necessary inspections. Despite this investment, my lead mechanic discovered a major engine defect: oil is leaking into the coolant. Even after flushing the system twice, the issue persists, indicating a catastrophic internal failure. The Midas lead mechanic told me to bring it back and this was an extremely bad purchase. He even wrote it in the report and emailed this to Annapolis Auto Auction. Which they later printed out and gave it to me with my paperwork when it was finally ready almost 7 weeks later.
When I contacted the office on the 7th day of my warranty to seek a resolution, the experience turned from a bad business deal into a safety concern. The female staff member was beyond unprofessional, she was aggressive and physically threatened me, telling me to "pull up" as if looking for a physical confrontation. She hung up on me multiple times while I was trying to speak. While the owner was not as overtly rude, he was cold and dismissive, offering zero actual support for the lemon they sold me.
Beyond the mechanical issues, it took nearly seven weeks to receive the title. I was forced to deal with the headache of getting an extended temporary tag because they couldn't handle their paperwork in a timely manner.
I expected the standard maintenance that comes with a high-mileage Jeep. I did not expect to be met with verbal abuse, threats of violence, and a $6,000 bill for a car that still has engine failure. This establishment is dangerous, both for your wallet and your peace of mind. Avoid this place at all costs.
P.s when I was purchasing the car, the windshield was cracked and I was told I would receive a contact for a auto window person. I asked more than 4 times and still did not receive the phone number, I even spoke to the owner and he told me he would text it to me and never did. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM HERE UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING TO REALLY PUT LOTS OF MONEY INTO IT. or bring a mechanic. They are complete scammers.
My wife and I had been searching far and wide for a vehicle with no progress. My brother told us about AAA and we went over to take a look, expecting more of the same.
FORTUNATELY, we came across a great company. Found a vehicle we really liked, sat down, worked out the details, and ended the visit with a purchase.
Very organized, friendly, informative, and exceptionally professional. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
So, the car that I originally went to look at, it wouldn’t even start, warranties cover nothing, I ended up getting a van, and the door stopped opening on one side and that happened the same day. Do not buy from this place, they aren’t helpful and they let you drive off the lot with no insurance. DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE!!! None of the cars are state inspection ready. BEWARE!!!!
Purchased a vehicle here that developed serious mechanical issues immediately after purchase, including a gasoline leak and engine failure confirmed by a mechanic. I attempted to return the vehicle, but the return was declined. The situation is currently unresolved, and the experience was disappointing.

My son bought a 2014 ford escape June 2025 and the transmission went out Sept 2025. Never again
Every single employee that I encountered was extremely helpful and kind. They were honest about each vehicle, let me look at everything on my own, and let me test drive around the lot. Very professional, very personable, very reasonable.

came here 2 months ago and got a white minivan and comeback today and got a car aswell both times vehicles for great no issues and great prices aswome cars will keep coming here and you get to test drive aswell

this place is great i came here 3 times and left each time with a car all you do is ask for the key to the one you like and test it and i bring a scanner all the cars i bought have been great no issues what so ever maybe little cosmetics or little minor stuff i love this place and will keep comming here great prices aswell
Horrible experience trying to get the title for my vehicle in a timely manner so my tags wouldn’t be expired. Do not do business with this place. Wouldn’t even give me a new temp tag.
Not very friendly ladies or gentlemen or helpful for that matter. Was wanting to come from out of state to attempt buying car yet when we called in to ask two simple questions in which employee act like he either didn’t know the answer or simply did not care to find out. Thought this be an easy but instead just received shitty service. Would not recommended AT ALL, as the low reviews are very on point and accurate. However my Sincere apologies to anyone that comes across/ happens to have to deal with them
Very disappointed. I called day of auction today and asked how auction worked and questioned about specific cars. I was told one was sold and the other was in the auction. I drove a hour away, got there an hour early to register and look over vehicle. After I registered I was asked to give my license so I was able to get the keys to look at the vehicle. I asked the young man at the front desk what all cars are within the auction he said anything out front and the ones on the back fence behind the building. (Jeep was out front) Spoke with multiple employees regarding this vehicle within that hour. Within 10 minutes of being in the auction the gentlemen that handles the bidding asked if anyone wanted to look at anything specific as there was only 4 people there and he didn’t want to waste our time in the heat. I raised my hand and said yes we are here for the jeep. He then proceeds to tell me that the jeep is not going through auction tonight so I questioned why as I was told on the phone and by multiple employees all within the same day that the jeep was in the auction. I also questioned about a Nissan truck that was on the back fence as the young man inside said that truck was not in auction tonight, i was told that information when I asked for the keys up front so i am not sure why i wasnt given this same information when i registered to bid, asked for the keys, asked for title information, asked for history of vehicle, even specifically told the guy at the front desk we were only there for the jeep. The gentlemen bidding bluntly states he doesn’t know what someone told me and can’t explain that but he could sell the truck out right for $8k . They had no compassion or concern for what I was told within that hour nor my time. It’s very disappointing when we take time out to come and was feed false information. Mind you this was for my daughters first car and she was so excited to just get let down. I told them I would pay $7k out right but they did not Even Try to work with us.
Since I am unable to respond to your response I will edit my original post. First I’m unsure why you are typing in all caps to me? Are you frustrated? Good because I feel the same way. I understand you have an auction to run but when I am told by multiple staff a vehicle that is listed on the auction page, located in the auction packing lot, I registered for the auction, test drove the vehicle in the parking lot, got the keys to that specific vehicle to look over it just to sit and wait for the auction to start and the vehicle was not even in the auction is insane. Let’s start by fixing your companies customer service! Any good company would have tried to work on a deal for the false information provided to the customers. Instead you are being very aggressive about it. A deal? The truck was $7,900 out right price. You took off $900. Then tacked back on an auction fee (mind you truck isn’t in auction) and whatever else fees you guys add and wanted $8k out right price. Please explain what deal you gave. It’s ok though no need to go back and forth, your reviews clearly tell the type of business you ran. I will take my $7k and spend elsewhere. Wish you the best .
I just bought a 2008 Chevrolet van in good used condition 2 weeks ago. The process was very easy I was told where to get my tags and I have them now, every thing went so smooth. Please do what the staff asked of you so you can be good to go. Thanks
Paul was very helpful, attentive, and personable! Many of the vehicles, however, were in rough shape! Prices are great though. AAA is a good place to find a DIY or project vehicle. Vehicles can only be test driven on their dusty and uneven lot! It's a great place to test drive an SUV or if you want a feel for off-road handling, but... If off lot test drives were offered, AAA becomes more appealing.
Felt like we were a burden instead of customers. Their "salesman" definitely had no desire to do his job and offered zero input. He didn't even talk to us about what we came there for.
Had an extremely disappointing experience there this week. I called in advanced to inquire specifically about a vehicle I was interested in purchasing. I asked if it was available, they said yes it was. I told them I would stop by the next day to go see the car. The next day came around and they called me to verify that I was coming that afternoon and I told them I was. I drove 2 HOURS to get there just for the car to not be there. Apparently no one decided to let their boss know that I was coming to see this car and they had taken it. They told me to look around to see if I wanted any other car, but I came specifically for that one so I obviously wasn’t interested. I’ve been looking for a car for months and was very disappointed that the one car I was set on getting suddenly wasn’t there anymore. I got no apology and was sent on my way.
Repeat customer brought a Nissan Sentra less then a month ago love the car and now I’m back to buy a van for my business went from no car to two vehicles in no time super friendly great customer service upfront and honest great communication and they work with you Best pricing and vehicles as described on site they are a blessing and definitely will sing there praises. Such an easy process! Nadia was a big help during this sale and very knowledgeable. They gave me a lot of information on the vehicle including potential problems I may run into. I do appreciate the transparency and how smooth the process was. I’ll definitely will be recommending more people!
I drove from Baltimore to their Virginia location, which is 3 hour drive one way, to look at a vehicle that they had to have known had a blown head gasket. As soon as I checked the oil it was obvious. Seemed like all the vehicles there were crappie. Wasted my time and $400 in rides to get there. The truck wouldn't have even made it home and they sell their vehicles as is no warranty. No wounder why.

I purchased a car that failed the MD state inspection, resulting in $3,000 in repairs.
During my visit, they claimed everything was fine except the battery, but they either lied or made claims without proper knowledge of the car's condition.
They wouldn't allow an inspection before purchase while insisting the car was fine, yet later claimed they couldn't guarantee it would pass inspection. They should have been honest about not knowing the car's condition instead of making false assurances.
When confronted, they deflected responsibility and criticized me for using my trusted mechanic instead of their recommended one.
They made numerous careless errors throughout the process—misspelling my name on the title and nearly overcharging me $1,000 on the credit card transaction.
I chose them for their competitive pricing, but after factoring in repairs, the total cost was comparable to—if not higher than—other dealers.
Had a great experience at Annapolis Auto Auction! Jim was amazing—super helpful and knowledgeable. He took the time to walk us through everything and made the whole process easy and stress-free. I really appreciated his honesty and expertise. If you’re looking for a car or are looking to sell your car I highly recommend going here!
I was watching a vehicle at this location for a few days when the price suddenly dropped mid-week. Wasn't a big drop, but it made me check it out in person. The car was in excellent shape, there was no high pressure tactics. Here's the price, the obligatory dealer add-on for processing, and you can do the math. I checked the car out, got a chance for a short test drive, and wrote up a contract that day. Came back with the money a day or two later, and today received my title. Love the car! Loved the experience!
