No sense of urgency. Terrible customer service. It shouldn’t take over an hr to pick up my vehicle that hasn’t even been sitting for 12 hrs. Plz DONT come here!
John was awesome; punctual, professional, and handled our car with care! We will definitely be using this company if we need a tow in the future. They update you every step of the way and come precisely when they say they will!

Misleading Price Quote! I was referred by tire plus to have my 2013 Jeep Patriot Towed literally 5 blocks away from my residence to tire plus. When I called Stepp Towing I asked Louis (rep on phone) what would it cost me to tow my vehicle 5 blocks away? He said we only charge $5 a mile. So I said great, and my wife left the key in the vehicle for pick up. 1 hour later stepp text me with a crazy price of $115.94… I reached out to Stepp towing to see what was going on, and they told oh by the way there’s a $95 hook fee with $5 per mile after. This time I’m speaking with a woman, who I was explaining that this hook up fee is too high and something I would have never agreed too. She insulted me by saying I find it hard to believe that you was expecting us to tow your vehicle for only $5-$10. Wow so I’m an idiot because I don’t know the price of $95 that was never given to me up front. I then googled towing hook fees in Florida and found out that they could range from $35-$100, it just happened that Stepp choose to hit you on the top side of the spectrum even without informing people who know nothing about towing or hookup cost. SMH…. They threatened to have my car impounded if I didn’t pay their price. The right thing to do would have been to tell me before you picked up the vehicle about the hook up fee so I could have chosen a cheaper option.
I used stepps towing in Orlando multiple times years back and after my car broke down today I was happy to see that they were close to me and I was looking forward to using them again BUT I was very disappointed with how they handled this situation. Not only did we wait 1.5 hours with my children in a hot car before we heard someone was one the way, once he told us he was on the way. We waited another 30 minutes before we decided to call for an ETA, and to our surprise, he was dispatched to a police call WITHOUT letting us know or sending anyone else to help. Completely understandable to choose a 911 call over my broken down vehicle but the problem is that we were not notified that it's was going to be an additional 3 hours before he got to us. VERY unprofessional and will not be using or recommending this company again.
Second time had to use Stepps towing services and let me tell yall never disappoint!! Steven truck #555 came and got my charger after my radiator busted picked it up and delivered it to my house with no issues thank you Steven!!!!!
Customer service is average, Mike does not understands customer service very well. This team needs to schedule a meeting so they can all be in the same page.
Wow all the reviews here are lies.i had to deal with the office manager Mike McArthur and one on his non-resigistered tow trucks hit me and he promised to take care of the damages and never did....yes family owned business and they also cover up their flaws to minorities in the community that provide traffic for their business....never again 🗑 😡💩
Joshua is the man. Very knowledgeable and quick at what he f does. Extremely fair pricing with quick response. Great communication. If you need an 18 wheeler towed or rescued call these guys
Ray was awesome! He got to my home quickly, and was very polite and courteous. He dropped my car off at the dealership, but I was unable to thank him before he left. Thank you, Ray and Stepp's!!!
Truck 597 Mike
Thank you so much for making what was a terrible experience into a much happier ending. Mike had to haul me and husband a long ways and he made it a great ride and relieved our stress. Thanks for everything. Highly recommend this company and it's timely attention to us.
.
Towed our motorhome for service. Towing bill was over $1300.00. They traveled on a toll road. We received a license plate generated toll bill from Florida. I called Stepps 3 times to get assistance advising the state that our coach was being towed by them and should have been part of their toll on their payment device and they have NEVER returned any of those calls!
We was stuck on the side of the road Brian showed and friendly and with a heat truck. (yes it got really cold 40s) I was so pleased with his service and knowledge. After a 12 hour shift 3hours on the side of the road (FHP) I was very pleasing to see a caring and thoughtful person. We appreciated his time and service. Thank you!!!
Eta 1hr 30. Update 45 more...next update no idea maybe 2 more hours we rerouted your truck and didn't update you. Pathetic. Unprofessional.
1125pm almost 5 hours still not here.
Arrived at Midnight the tech knew what he was doing no problems. As usual the problem lies in dispatch and management by people not in the field or waiting on service and have no clue what they are doing.
Stepp's Towing picked up a wrecked vehicle at the busy intersection of Hwy 98 and Florida Ave. The worker did a great job getting the car and debris quickly in order to restart traffic. 👍
Lady at counter was rude. She played on her phone the intire time. Took 2mins for her to acknowledge me. Then once got to the car I asked her for the keys and she said that she's not the person that brought it here so she doesn't know.... they were locked in the car. Very rude and unpleasant .
Alex is awesome. Very professional. And got there super quick (early morning break down probably helped with the schedule).
26 miles from home, the rate was super reasonable. The service was quick and Alex was great at loading and unloading and great with conversation. Made the headache of a broke down car alot more manageable.
Will put Stepps on the first to call the next time I need a towing service
Brothers vehicle got towed and when you talk about jumping through hoops of fire this is the place. Not only did we have to come up with ownership documents and registration. Then the main office had to verify everything 30 minutes into an hour SMH. Then once I turned over the money the representative let's call her "Karen" said excuse me you are $20 dollars short - So I said let's count it together... And sure enough two bills were stuck together "I don't know how I missed that" I wondered as well. Have all your DUCKS IN A ROW!!!!....STEPP's NEEDS TO STEP IT UP
Stepp’s Towing is very consistent. Their dispatcher will lie every time you call the for towing. We have waited 4 hours today already and when you call they lie and give you a 1 hour time. This bunch should be out of business.
+ Friendly.
+ They got here quick.
+ The camper got leveled so I can enter safely whenever I want to.
- The price.
Overall: The positive outweighs the negative and is why I'm rating it 5 stars instead of 4. Thank you Stepp's Towing Service.
Terrible experience with this company. My truck got towed due to me not moving it for a repaving project in my apartment complex. When I arrived to pick up my truck, I was told it is cash only, which seems ridiculous for a business in 2018. I have seen lemonade stands that accept cards. Upon entering the yard to retrieve my vehicle, I noticed one of my tires is completely shredded. They claimed they were not responsibility for any damages. I also noticed some personal belongings and change missing out of my truck. It may have been a bad apple driver, but I would not recommend this company to anyone needing a tow.
I am quite happy to be leaving the following negativity about this scam of a towing company! My lady lost control of our recently purchased (09/2017) project Jeep and put it in a ditch. The Polk County Sheriff's upon pulling up for assistance gave us 24 hours to remove it per statewide notification not to tow in their systems. That did not happen! We returned the next morning at 5 after 7:30 only to find they towed it with FHP's permission. Less than 12 hours since my lady spun it. This was day 5 after Hurricane Irma and no electricity for our family plus no Jeep to keep us moving and working. After calling around to all law enforcement we found who towed it and called them. We met in person only to meet resistance, and an exact quote "we don't care if they said it wouldn't happen". This made me furious and yes I went ape ish calling them many things not appropriate for business! I'm still not apologetic as you took from a disabled family knowing PCSO called you to confirm they put out a no tow entry. Then you proceed to lie to the police that my attitude stopped you from a free release! Bull sheet as you already said F the police by the quote i stated prior to my temporary insanity! After all it was day 5 of Hurricane Irma and no electricity you steamy pile of (whoopsie)! I had 2 witnesses present who witnessed my professional presence until you refused to release the Jeep. Who paid for that exactly? My stepfather (witness) who as well is on disability like me! Real
stand up company with no sympathy during a crisis! I as well have no empathy praying this post will stop money from coming to this tyrannical business! It's now 2018 and after our home was ravaged by our slumlord and Irma. We are just now getting out of a motel and into our new home with phones and services to inform all of you what this company can and will do! Public Service Announcement finished and Stepp's; #FUGYOU
They towed my car from one parking spot to the another parking spot due to management resurfacing the parking lot and the damaged my car! I called and after a week of looking for answers I was sent a text message stating that management denied the claim because they towed with a dolly. They didn't even give me the courtesy to call me! The driver did not take a pic of my car as the normally do because he knew he damaged my car! I am very disappointed. I wouldn't let them tow my bicycle. They lack customer service. Very unprofessional! I will pray that God grant them a sense of customer service.
Okay my battery has been dying for months. The dealership keeps telling me nothing is wrong. It died again yesterday. AT&T roadside dispatched Lakeland Wrecking. They were quick, professional looking, knowledgeable, and cool dudes. Not only did they do the service they were contracted to do, they also tested my alternator and informed me that it's shot. They didn't say your alternators shot, come by and let us fix it. They told me what was up when it didn't benefit them at all. Thanks guys.
