My car had a flat tire due to snow, and the towing company took my vehicle. The next day I found out where my car was and went to retrieve it. They told me that because the car had a flat tire, they would not release it unless I brought another tow truck. Even though I was willing to pay and take full responsibility, they refused to release my car. They would not allow me to change the tire on site, and they also refused to let me move the car outside so I could change the tire myself — even after I clearly stated I was assuming all responsibility. On top of that, the person I dealt with was rude, unprofessional, and behaved in a very aggressive and discriminatory manner. I truly felt I was being treated unfairly. They charged me $805 total: • $390 towing fee • $289 for “special equipment” — even though my car was on the street and not stuck. When I asked for an itemized receipt explaining what special equipment was used, they could not justify it. • $100 administration fee • They also charged me for two days of storage, even though the car was there for only one day. This feels like a complete scam and abuse of power. I even called the police, but unfortunately, they did not help, and I was forced to pay just to get my car back. I plan to file a lawsuit — not just because of the money, but because this company takes advantage of people and overcharges while breaking the law without consequences. If anyone else has experienced something similar with this company, please reach out. We should not allow businesses like this to continue exploiting people.

Trying to contact you about where my car was towed after it was released on Friday November 26 2025

My car was towed, and I was never notified of where it was taken. I contacted multiple tow companies and law enforcement agencies and no one could locate it. I only found it by chance nearly two weeks later, and was immediately hit with over $1,100 in storage fees. These charges are unfair, predatory, and exploitative, especially considering I had no reasonable way to retrieve my vehicle sooner. To make matters worse, the customer service was rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful throughout the entire process. The lack of communication, accountability, and basic professionalism is unacceptable. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Got into a crash on 05/14 cops called towing company, Iam a 28 year old female with a minimum wage job. Here are the charges they gave me after stating it was $850 this morning. Towing fee:$350, Welching fee:$150, clean up fee:150, admin fee: 150, fuel fee: $20 from (Beltsville to Laurel) Storage fee:$75 a day. BiG TIME MONEY hungry scammers stay away.

How do you explain $645 for a tow when a vehicle was only there for 5hrs. If a company has so many negative reviews, idk how they are still in business.

If I can give this company no rating , I would . Biggest scam there is in Maryland . Owner VERY rude . Mechanics just as rude as the owner . And if you want to get ripped off . These are your guys . Very inconsiderate people who won’t work with you at all ..it’s very sad . There a HUGE difference in speaking to others with assertiveness .. they need to reconsider what that really means because they way they speak to customers is a tab bit disowning . The owner is the most disappointing of them all . Please save yourself the scam and headache . Nothing of our payments was fraudulent . That’s a poor judgment from your part considering our communication was on point for that reason . Our ratings for our company is on point for that reason . Nothing fraudulent here . There was no breakdown or explanation of anything being complimentary. Everything was paid for . good day ☺️

READ & TRUST THE REVIEWS!! I am not one to automatically make bad reviews or put a company down but the way they talk to there customers & how rude & unprofessional they are, they definitely deserve all of the bad reviews they got. Had an 18wheeler truck towed through them after a wreck & came to pick it up. He was automatically rude & made up a bunch of lies saying things where wrong with the truck when there wasn't. Said we couldn't work on the truck on his property & none of his guys would work on it in 50 degree weather. Then told us it had to be towed out & that whatever towing company we used had to have his insurance. Said it couldn't be dropped off at a rest area or truck stop & couldn't drop it on the side of the road (even though we found a company that agreed to let us park it on the side of the road outside of their company) . He yelled & cussed at my husband over the phone for asking questions & made us feel like he didn't even want to speak. He is all about taking money & doesn't want you to be able to take your vehicle. I wouldn't choose this towing company if it was the last one available. Do better & have some respect & professionalism.

I’m not sure what all the bad reviews are about. I had a great experience with Automotive Support. I was in an auto accident Friday evening and the police had Automotive Support tow my car. Saturday morning I wasn’t ready to tow my car but needed to get my car seat for my child out. I called around 9am,10am. John answered and informed me that they didn’t open until 12 but to call back in 5 mins to see if he could get someone up there so that I could gather my belongings. I called back in 5 mins and he had somebody at the lot by time I got off the phone with him. They also had me fill out paperwork so that my car wouldn’t be move off the lot within the next 5 days. Also gave me an additional form to fax to them when the insurance was ready to pick the car up so that I wouldn’t have to make an additional trip back to the lot. I ended up getting the car towed myself on Wednesday. I called and they gave me the price that needed to be paid. When the tow truck arrived to Automotive Support they processed my car out with no problems. In fact Automotive Support was one of the stress free experiences I’ve had since getting into my auto accident Friday. Thank you for easing some of my chaos this week. I recommend! Also to add I saw some comments about race. I’m a person of color and was not treated as if they had a problem with me being African American.

Excessive charges and the hair trigger temper of the person behind the glass window made the accident more pleasant than dealing with these guys. Examples: $350 for a 6 mile tow, $75/day storage fee (well in excess of valet parking in mid-town Manhattan where you also wouldn't be charged a full day for the 4 hours before midnight as I was, ) $220 of extra charges padded on the bill for things like "admin fees." This was so beyond what is reasonable, bordering on predatory, taking advantage of those in a jam, that I am currently in the process of reporting this firm to the applicable Maryland organizations.

I know this place has had a fair number of negative reviews, however my experience with picking up a vehicle was fine. I did notice that the hours posted on site are different than what is listed here. I would recommend fixing the incorrect one. The two folks in front of me also seemed to be fine with the service.

Do not recommend going to this towing company. The customer service is not up to par and the “owner,” CJ, is very much high tempered and rude. He practically screamed at me because I was asking questions that I needed answers to and he wasn’t answering them at all; not even having the slightest decency to clarify anything that he said. Not only that, but he hung up on me a few times and claimed that the “line dropped” when it really didn’t. As I read through all the reviews, I strongly believe that this company needs to be permanently closed. Furthermore, they took my car without consulting me and gaining my permission; they’re charging me 300 for the tow (a tow i didn’t request), 150 for towing my car out of the woods, 150 for the fuel they used to drive to my location on top of another 150 for the fact that they were searching for my car. This company is a scam and needs to be investigated and closed down. I have never been so disgusted and disrespected until then. The pricing in itself are outrageous.

On 7/23/2024, I wrote the following review: On 7/22/2024, I was sitting in traffic on 495 South around 5:20pm. One of your tow trucks came barreling down the SHOULDER of the road blaring his horn and almost hit me weaving in and out of traffic; I had to move at the last minute to avoid him coming down the shoulder. He went onto Georgia Avenue and went back to driving normal. I didn't have my dash cam today, unfortunately, but next time I will let him hit me and take you to court. On 7/23/2024, the company responded with: "Thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. We have reviewed our onboard cameras and discussed your concerns with our staff. It's important to understand that we are emergency responders headed to an incident, which often creates the traffic you might be stuck in. Our response time is crucial to the motoring public because without our timely response, the impact on traffic would be much greater. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to clear incidents as quickly and safely as possible." On 7/25/2024, my response is as follows: Let’s be clear: 1) Your driver was flying down the shoulder of 495 South laying on the horn the whole way. While we were all siting in traffic, a vehicle was on the shoulder, prompting your detestable employee to suddenly jerk to the left to avoid hitting it, cutting me off and almost hitting me in the process, had I not turned the front of my vehicle. 2) He then went onto Georgia Avenue WHERE THE ACCIDENT WASN’T BECAUSE IT WAS FURTHER DOWN 495 SOUTH, so he was only PRETENDING he was trying to get anywhere. 3) YOU ARE NOT EMERGENCY RESPONDERS! Under MD law, you can turn around at emergency vehicle turn-arounds, THAT’S IT. If you were authorized as emergency responders, you would be authorized commensurate equipment (lights, siren, and exemption from traffic laws while responding). Relying on a horn and flying down the shoulder (AND NOT EVEN RESPONDING TO THE ACCIDENT) does not make you a responder. That’s the most obnoxious response I’ve read to date.

I wish there was an option with Zero Star. They take the money first and later give you the breakdown and that just to sign for it. CJ Was extremely harsh, unprofessional and rude. My car was in the their lot for 4 days and I picked it up at 9:30 of the 5th day, but they still charged me for whole 5 days. Moreover, I was being charged $250 for towing while I got my car towed to the same city they picked it from for $130. I wish my car would have burned instead of coming to your lot. When making payment, one of my cards got declined and I was ready to provide my other card for the payment, but the rude CJ was yelling that you gotta bring cash since your card declined. I was already late for work and drove another 20 minutes to get cash for him. Mr. Owner, hire someone professional with good customer service skills than having staff like CJ who only yells on customer. Very POOR service and Extremely OVER PRICED. 0 star review

Since I can not respond to the replies from this company I will continue writing reviews until I feel satisfied with the “services” I receive … the employee at the front desk gave me no information about the computers being down so that is obviously a lie, he told me he would check the prices and then a few moments later told me he forgot the prices. Please find another excuse because it won’t work with me… I will be taking legal action.

Truly the WORST towing company I have ever dealt with. They will only send you the release forms by fax. They don't mention the fact that you can print these forms directly off of their website either. They don't use email, they won't accept any form of payment other than cash, and they were just generally a piece of work to deal with.

Since I’m not able to leave a reply to what you said below, I will add it to my original complaint “Dear Automotive Support Services, Thank you for your response. While I appreciate your attempt to provide clarification, I must reiterate the gravity of the issues I encountered with your employee, CJ. And by the looks of your other reviews, I am not the only one and The concerns raised go beyond mere misunderstandings about procedures. I am deeply troubled by CJ's behavior, including the lies about the vehicle's location, misinformation about operational hours, and the unjust denial of my wife's rightful access to our vehicle, even after payment. I was forced to involve law enforcement by having them, put me on hold and then contact your office to ensure accurate information is provided and the fact that I had to makes this situation unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment . Your assertion that CJ went above and beyond by providing a tag bolt does not excuse the extreme disrespectful and unprofessional conduct I experienced. Multiple instances of phone hang-ups, false statements, and yelling at me created an atmosphere of hostility, making it difficult to accept claims of commitment to fair and equal treatment. I find it disheartening that my concerns about potential racial bias were not directly addressed in your response. The focus on assumptions and lack of understanding detracts from the specific incidents described. It is crucial to acknowledge and rectify any instances of discriminatory behavior within your organization. I remain deeply dissatisfied with the treatment received and stand by my decision to escalate my concerns to the Better Business Bureau and the Maryland Attorney General offices. I believe that such actions are necessary to address the severe issues I encountered by your employee, and by the sound of your reply, you condone such actions, and will not make any changes to rectify the situation. Sincerely, K.M.” Below, this was my original complaint This company is by far the most racist and absolutely disrespectful location. CJ, who described himself as the owner/manager, said he’s the only person working in the office. He was the most rudest person I have ever encountered. He lied multiple times regarding having my vehicle. I was forced to call the police department in order to force him to give us the accurate information that he has our vehicle. He told us multiple times different hours of operation so we could get charged an extra day. He lied and said that the police instructed him not to give us the vehicle when they did not instruct him. This is the most outrageous and disrespectful Company I have ever had to deal With. I will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau and Maryland, Attorney General regarding the treatment we encountered specifically by the employee, or he called himself Owner and Manager, CJ He denied my wife to take the vehicle out of the lot, even after she had paid the amount due in order to retrieve the vehicle. This Establishment is also racist establishment where they treat African-Americans and those who are minority with the upmost, disrespect He hanged up the phone multiple times and claimed that the phone dropped, and when I politely asked him multiple questions, his response was to yell, and when I asked him why he was yelling, he had no answer, but to say, are you finished with this call. Employees such as thjs Should not be allowed to deal with the public They will lie and still just to make themselves feel better. This is by far one of the worst days of my life because of this single employee or manager or owner whatever he is.

please do not go here if you are a minority or person of color! not only is this place UNPROFESSIONAL but whoever was working at the front was nasty and rude. i initially called to see how much they charge to get my car out the tow after my car got impounded and he refused to give me any type of info. when my bf got his release form he wasn’t trying to give us the car back because the police department didn’t put JR at the end of of the document as it’s stated on his license he didn’t want to accept the document knowing we JUST came from the police department and didn’t offer any type of solution just that we had to leave and go back and get it fixed even though he knows that it wasn’t an error on our behalf. we leave just to call laurel police department and they tell us to turn around and go back because it’s a simple issue that could have been fixed OVER the phone instead of having us do that run around. they are not there to serve the public they are there to TAKE AS MUCH MONEY FROM YOU AS POSSIBLE. my tow company didn’t even want to come and pick up my car because they told me themselves that they are nasty rude people!! How does a tow company turn a job down??? Because they are nasty rude ppl nobody wants to deal with!! the guy up front didn’t even want to give me change to pay my tow truck driver telling me he didn’t have change even thought i watched him count change to give us. -100/10! will never return.

This has got to be one of the Nastiest Unprofessional Unethical Place I've ever encountered. Cj who I was told by him himself is the Manager/Supervisor. I do not know if that is true or not. He was Very Nasty when I came to get my car. I was given a release form from the police department to get my car along with a MVA print out I'd sheet and he still wouldn't accept it. All because he was trying to add on more fees to my car. I had to go back to the police station where I was told he couldn't do that. And come back again and deal with Nasty service. This is the Worst Place ever. They need to hire Professional Individuals. Cj needs training. I'm not sure how he became a manager, if he is even a Manager. And of Course it seemed VERY RACIST. Trust and Believe a Caucasian would not be treated so Poorly. And as I am unable to respond to your response to this review, I will say it here. This Proves you're racist as I Stated, Poor Customer Service. And Lack of Accountability on your End. You are Very Very Unprofessional and Dis Tasteful as is Stated in ALL your reviews. LDo Better and Traet People Beter, the way you would like to be treated yourself. Everything I said is True. My Circumstances does not have anything to do with your Unprofessional Behavior. That is what these statements is about. Not my situation. LEARN TO TREAT OTHERS WHO DOESNT HAVE THE SAME SKIN COLOR AS YOU WITH RESPECT AND FAIRNESS. This was about 2 THINGS: THE COLOR OF MY SKIN AND MONEY! What it's ALWAYS ABOUT. Do BETTER. OR DONT OPERATE THIS BUSINESS.

Trust the negative reviews, I’m big on giving places the benefit of the doubt, but this place was completely unprofessional, disrespectful, and genuinely feels like you’re being scammed right in front of your face. Initially called to receive some information to report to insurance, but they would not provide anything other than the total cost it would take to release the car. Went in person, and I state this is a personal opinion, but I feel is shared among the other reviews… could not help but feel unwelcomed and racially discriminated. Spoke to me as if I was speaking anything other than English. Although I was very clear with the specific information I needed, all he would do was give the same answer and ended his response was along the lines of you’re better off in court. I suggest you provide this feedback from the reviews to your insurance before they have to deal with them. Hopefully this business can gain some knowledge and receive this feedback to better their service.

Had my car sent here after getting rear ended and it was a nightmare getting my car picked up by my insurance. The first refused to communicate with my insurance over a recorded line, then after 2 days when my insurance finally got the payment situation settled with this company, when the tow truck arrived they refused to accept payment because the driver's debit card did not have "Jr." on it to match his license and he had to leave and get cash to be able to finally get my car. The tow truck driver for my insurance was a hero, this company is using abusive policies to hold cars longer to milk more money instead of releasing the car.

Would recommend Steven for any Towing assistance. He was very prompt in coming to help get my uncles vehicle to a repair shop after it suddenly broke down on the side of the road. He made this process super easy and properly got the vehicle on his truck. He was very careful in making sure no damage was done to the car during this process and took his time. He was very patient with us and went above and beyond, to not only get us where we needed to go but walked us through every step to comfort this unexpected problem And We are truly Grateful for the professionalism he displayed. Thanks So much Steven.

Steven made the process easy and stress free. He even offered to give me a lift to the repair shop. Very professional and definitely seems to know what he is doing. Took great car of my car considering the circumstances. Would 100% recommend!

I’m a tow op that works for a company that has to go to other tow yards to get wrecked vehicles for the insurance company. When I got there they needed a driver release form, called my supervisor for them to email a form over. Owner said they don’t have email only fax. But when I looked them up on google you contact them through email. ?. Who in this day doesn’t have email.supervisor sent over information and it still was not good enough. Was d!€k around for over an hour with paperwork not being good enough for him and then proceeded to tell me we are closing in less than 10 minutes. Have a nice day. If I can give a negative thousand stars I would route is anything he must not get any from his wife or anybody else so let him come at me on this comment. Have a nice day.

Awful service and even worse people working there, the manager working there was calling me racist names and refused to give me my vehicle. He deserves to get fired and shut down this “business” I’ve lost all respect for tow yards because of them. 0/5 all day. They also stole $250 from my glove box and claimed no one touched anything. Thieves, trash service, and racist employees.

The person I spoke to has horrible communication skills. Went to try and get my personal belongings from my car that was towed from an accident. Person at the window tells me I need to get a release from the police department, I ask if I can’t just grab my personal items again, I’ve had an accident perviously and was allowed to get my items after providing proof of ownership so I guess I just didn’t understand. He replies, “what did I say?”. Proper commutation since you know, I don’t know policies surrounding towing company... is explain to me why. Backed away from the window and called my insurance agent who explained why it’s needed.

Vehicle was towed following accident. Vehicle was rear-ended and towed without knowledge of owner. Company charging over $300 just for towing, and $64 additional dollars for unnecessary storage. The employee was rude, and mocking. Provided zero policy to support anything that I was told, and Montgomery County police agent with whom I spoke blamed the price gouging on Covid. The rate is at the company's discretion. While at the lot I saw no employee with mask. To remove vehicle from lot, the company requires that it be towed if it was in an accident, even if it is drivable. Worst experience ever. Follow-up: Towing company refused to allow release of vehicle to insurance company without notarized letter from owner who is out of state. Insurance company stated that verbal release typically suffices. Although, towing company was aware that the owner mailed a certified copy of release to get the vehicle out of the lot, they towed the vehicle to VRS 72 hours after it was received, versus within 5 business days since they are closed during the weekend. Horrible and unprofessional service.

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Saturdays are by appointment only, which I understand. No big deal. I spoke to some guy on the phone, explained that we would be picking up our truck. He kept cutting me off and putting me on hold, I guess because the line would go quiet. I mentioned that the truck was registered to the family company, and the guy was in such a rush all he mentioned was to bring a valid passport, the temporary license, and the vehicle registration. No problem, makes sense. Then we drive an hour and a half to this sketchy location, but find the lot anyways. Some guys arrived (not the one I spoke to on the phone), and we began the process, I provided the paperwork previously mentioned. But then, the guy processing papers is unsure because the vehicle is registered to the company. He calls the guy I spoke to on the phone who then informs the office attendant that we will have to comeback Monday with the articles of incorporation or a notarized company letter stating he (the person picking up the car&company owner) is the authorized driver of the vehicle. Through Maryland Business Entity Search you can pull those documents for any computer with internet, but you guessed it, the office attendant declined. So I figured we’d drive 7 minutes to the staples down the street and print a copy, and come right back. When I called to advised we were able to obtain copies of the articles of incorporation that he did not tell me I needed if it was a company vehicle, he advised that no one would be at the office and that he would not send out another person to meet us and that we would have to comeback on Monday. What I should’ve done was left my employee at the office while I printed documents down the street. Anyhow, we returned on Monday morning, and GUESS WHAT?! They didn’t ask for the articles of incorporation or any other document indicating that the person picking up the vehicle was authorized to drive the vehicle. This was the greatest example of the poorest, most inept, and unprofessional customer service that we have ever encountered. As a business/company manager, I am utterly shocked and disappointed that any business owner would treat paying customers this way. This place legitimizes all of those stereotypes of towing companies with poor customer service, and just in general terrible business to deal with. So if could I give this place a zero, I would. Update: this tow company issued some generic response to my review. Again, I MUST reiterate that come Monday morning we told them truck we were picking up, provided the same exact registration as we did on the Saturday before, and then they processed payment. They did not - I REPEAT - they DID NOT request any additional information to confirm identity or ownership. So your BS response of “having to follow procedures” is completely asinine.

bad service, racists, they think they are superior to everyone, they laugh at people, they think they own the cars. my personal car also ran out of charge on the battery so I could not turn it on, and they did not let me carry my own car with my own jump box because it was on their property, and they charged me 20 dollars for charging me, they are thieves, the worst towing company, I do not recommend it to anyone, if you get injured and have that towing company, please request another company. They make it impossible for your car to stay longer with them there. thieves

Worst place. Rude people. Rip off. Would not let me get my vehicle then tried to charge me. Because my Id wasn't enough the insurance wasn't enough. Wanted SS card.... wouldn't let me see my vehicle. Missing items!! DO NOT USE My insurance company tried to pay for the storage over the phone. This company said they had to be there in person. The lady said she has worked in car insurance for 10 years had NEVER heard of such things. So my company in California has to send someone to this place! These people just make it hard to collect storage fees! 700$ and charged me for days we were their attempting to get the truck. I should call a lawyer
