I’m giving this AutoZone 2 stars. Usually I have an okay experience here, but this time was frustrating. My car has been having issues, and after finally figuring out the problem I drove out here specifically to get the part…only to find the doors already closed 5 minutes before the posted closing time. If the store says it’s open until 10, it should be open until 10, not 9:55. I spent gas money and time driving out here for nothing. What made it worse was the interaction with the associate. Instead of explaining anything, they just shook their head and waved their hand as a cutoff from inside the store. It came across as pretty rude and dismissive. Again, this location is usually okay, but closing early and handling customers like that isn’t a great experience.

Absolutwly ateocious! Ghetto, rude, unprofessional and down right embarhassing. I placed an order for 3 different light bulbs online. Purchased online and waited. Waited for 3+ jours for a response, NOTHING. I called the store with no answer. I waited 15 mins called them again and was told, not asked but told to "hold". I politely provided my name and asked for a status of my order, she said "yea it ready". So i then head over to the store ans brought the proper identification as indicated on the email instructions. Once i arrived, i saw a "manager" eating at the front desk and on a call and had vulgar language. Once it was my turn, i gave the woman my name, she printed out a "reciept"(?), and said "ill pull them". She placed it om the counter and said "there ya fo". Without a receipt, checking my identification and a bag. I took my items. One of the prpducrs appeared ro have been opened, taped up and placed back on the shelves for purchase. I don't know if this bulb works or not. Apalled and will NOT be returning.

I brought my car in because the check engine light was on. The long-haired employee inside told me they don’t have a diagnostic machine, which makes no sense for an auto-related business. His attitude was rude and dismissive. I strongly felt he didn’t want to help me because I don’t speak English well. This kind of behavior is unprofessional and unacceptable. I do not recommend this place

Terrible experience just now with person who answered the phone. I was asked to"please hold" and then I was hung up on. When I called back she said I hung up on her. Very unprofessional.

Without a doubt the best service I have ever gotten at ANY auto store. Greg was the man who helped me and I don’t think I would’ve been able to fix what was wrong without his help. Thank you Greg!!! ?

Listen. I have been to several other auto stores and NOT A SINGLE ONE COMPARES TO THIS LOCATION!! Mr. Terrance and this staff are friendly, KNOWLEDGEABLE, go above and beyond to help. I will drive from whatever city to go to this store. This staff need raises and need to train the other stores cuz Jesus they don't know anything ?. Thank you staff.

Joshua is an amazing manager, i came in with a battery issue, and he educated me that I had an alternator problem. He was very knowledgeable about the charging system of the car and explained to me how everything worked. He also went out of his way and came to replace my alternator for me on his day off. He is amazing. I recommend anyone to go see him.

Just got done being helped by the manager Josh Edward’s very professional person to person employee. I recommend this location out of any auto parts store I’ve ever been to. If you have any thoughts I would go to this location 10 times out of 10. You will get the help you need, you will leave with satisfaction. They will find a resolution for you. I was given a refund in full amount in cash, stuff you don’t hear of anymore. Please check them out. Thank you auto zone 3322 Cromwell drive nothing like it.

I know very little about the mechanical workings of cars. I just drive them. The staff at the AutoZone on Cromwell Drive are always helpful and very friendly. I have had nothing but good experiences there. Recently, I pulled into their parking lot after a fender bender and one of the workers came over just to see if she could help. Tonight, Endo helped me with a new battery. He wouldn’t accept a tip so I’m leaving a review to show my appreciation for him and all the staff there. Thank you!

Not from Norfolk, but traveling there for business, my battery went dead in the parking garage. This particular AutoZone on Cromwell rd. Offered to help replace my battery after a quick phone call when other establishments refused me after getting a jump. Morgan M. was extremely helpful, pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional and I would recommend this place above all others when looking for help.

Ok so not only did they listen to my story when I told them I'm sorry I was mistaken and did business with the wrong store they helped me completely and fixed my problem. Terrance I believe that's his name went above and beyond. Sold me the correct bulb and installed it. I will always GET IN THE ZONE! THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH! Dealt with an Extremely Lazy and Not so Educated Employee. I have always came here for anything for our vehicles and yesterday this guy acted like he didn't know how to do a simple test I have had done before. Well I had to go somewhere else and was helped immediately! Please do better

Larry is truly the gem at this location. At the end of our conversation, I joked around stating "who knows, this might be the start of my humble beginnings as a mechanic with your help" because I'm always filled my anxiety when entering an auto shop. So many selections and me knowing nothing about auto parts and oils. I recommend him to anyone who may have a question. After today, he's the only reason I would go back to this store. The cashier instantly directed me to the kiosk, no. He could have asked if I wanted to use it, especially since I was the only one in line (second in the store). The kiosk experience wasn't flawless and he ended up needing to rescan some items. Now that I know there's a kiosk, I'll definitely be using it instead of an actual cashier.

David and Mr. Larry were such a great help (and so was the tall, Black (bald) gentleman, who also helped me and whose name I did not get. They all provided me excellent and useful advice, helping me diagnose the issue with my car (battery) and getting it properly fixed. I will be a returning customer.

Can I just say Josh is wonderful. He needs a promotion & raise. He went above and beyond for our family. He checked our battery/alternator multiple times, put a new battery in (a tough job on our make of car) and then shortly after our car had terrible smoke coming from it. This guy took his lunch break, not being paid to fix our problem yet again. He told us he knew what it felt like to need help and would like to do the same for others. This man put tears in our eyes! We are from out of state and we really feared we wouldn’t be able to go back home. 10/10 would recommend to ask for Josh when you come to this location. He’s honest, compassionate and deserving of everything good in life. He is also serving our country so be sure to thank him!!! Thank you Josh from the bottom of our hearts!!

I purchased a battery about 3 months ago and it stopped holding a charge so I came back to see if they would exchange the battery. I spoke with Cheryl... I believe that was her name. She was very polite and helpful! Not only did she exchange it, she changed out the old one for me. She was amazing and I'll come back to this location because of her.

My visit to auto zone was great. The young Lady that helped me was very courteous and even insisted on putting on the new wiper blades that I had just purchased. She's a beautiful young black woman and seemed quite knowledgeable. One things for sure she deserves a raise.
