Being a small business owner myself I pride myself and my business on honesty, integrity and finishing things in a timely fashion and honoring my commitments. With that said, I'll had hoped sts would represent the same values since they were adamant small business. Unfortunately this wasn't the case.

I called set up an appointment to drop my wife's vehicle off to be looked at we dropped it off on Wednesday and we're told they would look at it throughout that day sometime. Wednesday came and passed no call, so I called thrusday and I was informed they were backed up and they would "look at it" on friday.

Okay we'll play the game and we waited patiently. They called my wife and said it needed a new transmission. In turn my wife called me and informed me of this. So I called STS to ask what was going on. In full disclosure before I dropped the vehicle off I informed them that I used to be a mechanic and had some what of an idea of what was going on but my main area was definitely not Transmissions. I spoke to the owner who insured me the torque converter was slipping and the entire transmission needed to be rebuilt happens on these vehicles all the time. He said he supposedly took it for a drive and that was that. Again in my previous employment as a mechanic I didn't feel what was going on was what he was outlining. So I'm formed him we will come pick up the car.

We picked up the car Friday night after hours, that Sunday I switched out the transmission fluid. What would you know, transmission is Shifting and driving as expected ever since. I did this 6 months ago, I wanted to wait and ensure that that was truthfully the problem before I left this review because I wanted this review to be authentic and reflect properly.

So this experience got me to thinking as to why I ended up down that road I did with this company. And ensure it's very simple because transmission fluid flush isn't going to drive that much revenue for them but the $5700.00 transmission rebuild they quoted would turn 3k+ labor.

My only recommendation is if you bring your vehicle in here take it to another place to get a second opinion if they tell you you need a new transmission, because more likely than not you may not need that new transmission after all.

Excellent Service. Very patient to hear me out with whst the issues were and what has been done to my vehicle previously. Complicated issue was diagnosed properly and corrected when other transmission shop got it wrong and changed parts needlessly and cost me unnecessary expense. Thank you thank you! I'll tell everyone I can that this is a place that can be trusted.

I went to STS Transmissions for a second opinion about my transmission after another shop told me that I needed a new transmission. They immediately diagnosed the problem and repaired my transmission for half the cost of a replacement. I would highly recommend having STS take a look if you're having any problems with your transmission

STS did a great job working through problem solving steps and honored the schedule they presented to replace the torque converter that was not working properly anymore after 169K miles on my pickup. The new converter is great! It's like having a new truck again! I refer my friends and family to STS Transmissions

In owning a vehicle, I can't think of a more anxiety-provoking experience than learning you'll have to visit a transmission shop. I had my truck towed to STS at the close of business on a Friday, expecting a multi-thousand dollar repair bill. Monday morning, I got a call from Marvin at STS, letting me know that my truck was all set. I'm thinking - all set for what, the junkyard? No, it turns out it was a simple speed sensor module. Repair cost? $150. What a relief! I found a professional shop with expert and honest technicians. I could not be happier with the service, professionalism, and expertise. My vote is for Marvin and his crew as the best in the business.

The team was on point the price was perfect and the transmission is working a 100 percent better thank you for everything I will recommend them to all my family and friends they are a straight forward company and top notch in my book .thank you guys again for everything.

This was my third visit there. Not because of issues with their work. I had three vehicles needing work. The latest concerned a fluid leak. The local Chevy dealership said I needed a new trans at $15k. STS found it to be a leaking axle seal costing $85 for the part and $300 for labor. There was no upfront charges either. The dealer charged almost $700 for a misdiagnosed issue

I’ve had excellent experiences with STS Transmissions! Marlin has been working on my girlfriend’s vehicles for a while, and he always identifies the issue quickly and confidently. Even when we called in a pinch for advice, he helped us solve the problem. He’s been incredibly helpful and kind-hearted. Not only is he a genuinely great person, but I’m also very grateful for his expertise and service. I highly recommend this place!

Sts really are the best, Marlin and his team were super helpful and very kind. My daughters transmission started slipping and another mechanic shop tried to charge me 8k to fix it, Sts found it was just a clutch and some other stuff and fixed it for under 3k. I rarely leave reviews but Sts deserves the recognition. Thanks again!

Professional, caring, and nice.

I was having shifting issues with my truck. They got me in right away to plug the computer in and go for test ride. Luckily for me, it was a sensor issue. I would 100% recommend STS for any transmission work.

I can say enough good things about Steve, Merlin and the crew at STS. After years of trouble with a transmission I purchased from those “ sunny” guys, STS fixed right the first time. I love my truck once again!

The STS team did a tremendous job rebuilding the transmission in my 72 Olds Cutlass. I can’t say enough about their communication, craftsmanship and dedication to customer service. Honest, hard working people!! Don’t hesitate to call them!!!

While no one wants to pay $$$$ to get their transmission fixed . . . STS Transmissions gave a fair price, worked with my schedule, gave great customer service, and demonstrated that they have superior knowledge and technical expertise. I trust this company. I hope to not need their services again, but if I do I will will return to STS Transmissions.

The Steve and his team went above and beyond to find parts for my car so we could make it home before we made the long drive back to Maryland. We where in Florida for Spring Break and my clutch needed to be replaced desperately. The service took two days and I’m beyond pleased with the work. Steve and his team where very kind and accommodating with our situation. Would recommend STS if you need work done. Big thank you to STS for getting us back home safe and sound!

On 7/2 of July while on the way from Lakeland for a day at the beach my 2011 F-150 Lariat blew its transmission. I looked up STS Transmission & it was close to my location. I had my truck towed STS and I am happy I did. Marlin was awesome in assisting me in explaining the situation. Marlin and Steve were professional and took the time to cover all my options . They had my truck ready to go on the day they promised. With no surprises . I recommend them to anyone who reads this 100%. Thank you STS TRANSMISSION! I'm now your greatest fan !

The Staff at STS Transmissions is unbelievable. They know what they are doing and had my vehicle transmission repaired in no time.
Let's just say I scattered it all over I-75 at 70 miles an hour.

Great little shop who does exceptional work. They support the military and veterans which is a huge plus in my book. They took the time to find the right "rare" parts for my vehicle and were able to give me a good deal. I have brought my truck to them on 2 different occasions and I will come back if I ever need any more transmission work.

Highly recommend this business. Fair, honest and good communication. My repair was a problematic one and Steve provided excellent customer service explaning their first priority was to make sure the problem was resolved the right way. I brought my truck in today just to see what's going on with my transmission. He pulled the pan and found the problem, gave me a temp fix just so I can get by for now. Very professional and friendly. When that time comes where I need to get my rebuild done I will be bringing it back to STS. GREAT PEOPLE!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
