This Towing company engages in practices that raise serious concerns about the legitimacy of its operations. They appear to have an arrangement with the Admiral Walk Condominium Association that allows them to tow vehicles without cause and without providing any prior notice. After towing, they demand a $435 fee to release the vehicle. They demand payment in cash! To make everything more suspicious.
They also file a lien to sell the vehicle on the same day it is towed, again without notifying the owner. This pattern of behavior suggests conduct that may violate consumer protection standards.
The association denies receiving any profit from this arrangement, but that claim is difficult to accept given the frequency and manner in which these tows occur.
The company’s facility is located on an unmarked dirt road, hidden from public view, and its office is a deteriorated trailer that does not reflect a legitimate or safe business environment. Nothing about the location or their procedures inspires confidence.
Residents and visitors should exercise extreme caution when dealing with this company and the monopoly it has established with the Admiral Walk Condominium Association
$455 for getting towed overnight is insanely predatory, on top of that, they only take cash and zelle transfers. You’d think that someone that desperate for money would at least take cards to make things a little smoother but I guess a 3% fee for swiping cards is a lot of money for some businesses.
If I could give a lower review, I would. This company is ruthless when it comes to getting back what’s yours. When you try to call this company, it goes immediately to It’s automated voice messaging system which happens to always be full, and for somebody trying to get their car back is beyond frustrating & shows lack of care on their end. Just because they towed a car does not mean they can withhold the car without a line to be able to reach & get a hold of let alone leave a message to an employee to solve the issue at hand. I can only hope they clear their voicemail one day.
got my car towed in the middle of the night (2 AM) woke up to it gone while i was about to be on my way to work. saw the tow truck driver actively towing someone else in my complex so i went and asked why he towed me , he was extremely rude cussed out me and my roommate called us stupid and drove off, went the same day at 3 pm to go pick up my car and they told me i have to pay 375 dollars to get my car out which insane be cause our neighbor got towed for the same thing a month prior and only got charged 225 and she had her car there for 2 days . i asked what the extra50 dollar charge was that the also had on there and was told they added that for storing my car there for over a day and he got rude with me after i said it hasn’t been 24 hours . his response… 6 hours is a day not 24 hours and u had your car here for over 6 hours. mind you i got towed at 2 am and 6 hours from then would be 8 am and they don’t open til 9 am. they also told me on the phone they don’t charge extra for towing over night so explain that and he couldn’t all he said was you should’ve came and waited till we opened. Right! let me wait in a tow yard by myself from 2 am til 9 am even tho i’m carless and you guys are closed. ridiculous company and total scammers and extremely rude in person and on the phone.

My car was towed from a visitor parking spot for no valid reason. The final bill was $435 – that’s $185 for the tow and an outrageous $250 in extra “fees” that no one explains. This feels like nothing more than a money-grab scheme, very likely in partnership with apartment complexes like Admiral’s Walk.
If this happens to you, don’t stay silent – challenge it and know your rights. This company is shady and predatory.

My car was parked right in front of my driveway so my son could put his car in the garage. When he arrived, he saw a tow truck parked behind my car to take it away. My son told him "that it is my mom's car and that we live here". The tow truck driver told my son that he was called to remove my car because it was parked on the street and that where I live you can't park on the street. It was 1:30 AM. Who was calling him? I've been living here since these houses were built, and I've been living in this community where everyone knows my car for 6 years. I explained to him that he couldn't take my car, when I asked him to bring me the keys to move it. Immediately the man pulled a lever to pick up my car and take it away. I told him why he did that, if I was already going to move my car and park it on my driveway. He replied that if I wanted him to take it down first, I had to pay him $67.50 in cash or for Zell. This is a gross abuse robbery . They enter the gated communities after midnight to remove the cars of the residents when they are sleeping and when they wake up to find surprise and have to pay a substantial sum of money they do not have.
Ben was awesome. He was there in 5 minutes and I had to run to the bank for money and he patiently waited for me. Price was very fair too. Highly recommend best tow ive had.

Absolutely horrible experience with Action Towing out of Sarasota, FL. I was parked in front of my own house because there were no available spots in my neighborhood—something completely out of my control. Less than an hour later, my truck was already being towed.
To make it worse, I had a valid parking pass hanging clearly from my rearview mirror the entire time.
The driver was incredibly rude and disrespectful. He didn’t listen to anything I said, constantly talked over me, and acted like I wasn’t even worth acknowledging. He also admitted that no one called him to tow me, which raises even more questions about why he was there in the first place.
Then came the sketchy part—he said if I paid him $100 through Zelle, he’d drop the truck. I was flustered in the moment and accidentally sent it through Venmo. He then called his wife (or whoever handles the payments), and she told him they don’t have Venmo. That’s funny—because if they don’t have it, how did they know I had just paid them through it? That alone felt like a total scam.
After I finally sent the money through Zelle as requested, he still kept trying to explain “the law” about not parking on the grass—completely ignoring the fact that I told him there were no open spots and that I had a valid parking pass. He clearly wasn’t interested in hearing the truth or being fair.
Once he dropped the truck (and I immediately moved it into an actual parking spot), he drove off without giving me any kind of receipt, documentation, or final explanation.
This company is shady, aggressive, and shows zero professionalism. They’re clearly just out trying to make money wherever they can, even if it means towing vehicles with valid permits and ignoring the circumstances. I would absolutely never recommend Action Towing to anyone. If you’re dealing with them, be very careful—and record everything.
Ben was awesome! He helped us move a project car to another location. He arrived quickly and was very efficient, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend them to move vehicles.
I can’t say enough good things about Ben at Action Towing, I was stranded with dead battery on a very busy road with not a lot of room to pull over , in Sarasota traffic that could be a life and death situation!! It was super hot and I had no water! Action towing was called even though he was in the middle of another tow Ben got there in 20 mins. He had water with him to offer me and got my car hooked up in minutes!
Ben was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable about all things Sarasota being born and raised here. It actually was the one bright moment in my day! If I ever need a tow I will not hesitate to call action towing, and I recommend that you do too if you ever end up in the situation.

In the middle of an extremely long workday my trailer hub decided to start breaking off the Trailor one lug nut at a time. There was only one lug nut left so we knew we needed a tow home. After calling two companies I have used previously & many other companies I looked online & called Action Towing in Sarasota. The driver got to me in aboit 15 mijutes. Ben (the driver) was extremely friendly & extremly well trained in how to get my messed up Trailor loaded onto his truck & get it home safely. Once we got to my house he was great in getting the Trailor where I needed it & after it was unloaded asked if there was anything else he could do for us. Thank you Ben for making a horrible day a little brighter. I would highly recommend Action Towing & especially Ben for anyone who needs a tow. They were also very reasonably priced compared to other companies.
