I had a very hopeful initial experience here and was so encouraged after the first appointment. I have battled many years of chronic health issues with very debilitating symptoms and have already spent many, many thousands of dollars trying to find answers on approaches that haven’t helped. I was hoping more than anything that this was my answer. Let me start off by saying that there are a lot of wonderful people here that really do want you to feel better and to succeed. Dr Franco is a super smart and genuine doctor who cares deeply about his patients. However, after spending around $25k over just a couple of months, I made the decision to stop treatments after continuing to feel worse. I was getting very little guidance to reassure me that I was doing the right thing. From the very beginning, no one could even give me a range of how many treatments may be needed or when I should be noticing improvements in my health. It was all extremely vague. I know everyone is different, but based on their years of experience and seeing commonalities with medical histories, there should be some kind of noticeable, reproducible evidence of improvement for certain conditions to give some sort of guidance. It was always an “it’s up to you” or “there’s no way to know” kind of thing, which makes me think they may not see improvement in these conditions and still take your hard earned money anyway. Same with the number of therapies (meds) in each IV treatment. It was more of, well we recommend all of these, but you can pick and chose what you want, you just may not get as much benefit if you do less. I opted for most of them out of desperation but always felt left in the dark and confused after every IV. Anywhere else in the natural health space would be able to lay out expected treatment costs over a set time so that you know exactly what you’re in for and weather it is feasible for your situation. Most of us in the chronic health space have already drained our financial resources trying desperately to get our lives back. It was always unclear when a follow up was needed. Beyond the initial one, the rest is left up to you to manage on your own. When I did schedule a visit, it was very scattered and there was a lot of phone checking and interruptions throughout, leaving a lot of questions unanswered. Recommendations beyond the IVs were always for in house made supplements, which although great quality, were also very expensive and leave you feeling stuck not being able to use anything else. I felt like every time I went in, the staff was hoping that I was feeling great and expected improvements so I again felt confused and discouraged when I was feeling so sick. I recently spoke to someone that went through almost the exact same experience here several years ago in hopes of treating chronic Lyme. It was worked up by staff that if anything, the IVs would provide amazing immunity and I would experience much less illness and with much shorter duration (I’m sure this is true for the average person). After a couple of months of treatments, I had a double pneumonia and was sicker than I had ever been and took several weeks to recover. I was led to again dig deeper as to why these very expensive therapies were not the end all answer for my immune system being so dysregulated in the first place. I’m sure these treatments can do wonderful things for cancer. However, other unresolved multi system, multi symptom illnesses may need a look into things Iike CIRS with someone who is very specialized in this area. You may save yourself a lot of heartache.

Before coming here, I had been through four different traditional medical centers. After three rounds of immunotherapy, I was told it wasn’t working, and my only option was a chemo pill to “slow progression.” But I wanted more — I wanted to fight and beat cancer. I had originally hoped for a transplant, but I was told I wasn’t a candidate due to the size of my tumor, my liver condition, and my bilirubin levels. Dr. Franco will take out time with you to discuss your CT scans and explain what is going on and how to improve your health. Dr. Franco gives me more information than the cancer doctor does. He ordered a lab test to help determine the underlying cause of my cancer and developed a customized treatment plan aimed at addressing it. The entire staff is very caring and professional.

Dr. Franco has been an incredibly important part of my recovery process over the past 2.5 years. Honestly, finding Dr. Franco has been a game-changer for my health journey. Finding him was truly a blessing from God. The staff is great during what is, for most, a trying time. Solutions are well explained. With anything new, it takes time to develop trust, and the support you get supports that trust. I think one improvement would be having a written down plan so we know what is coming, even though I know we only have so much information at any given time. But that plan could also show different paths. Glad we found Dr Franco and his team. Having them working with us will help us through these next phases.

i was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and have strongly felt that the standard of care was not the route I wanted to go. I was lucky and caught it early before it spread anywhere. This place is the best! First, they really care about you here. The staff are both compassionate and competent. They don’t cut corners. Instead, they bring their best to helping patients. They have their own special pharmacy with what provides some of the best and highest quality treatments around. Dr. Franco is a genius. I’m not exaggerating. He does not make promises regarding outcomes. He does treat his patients and staff well. My first day with him, I had literally just been discharged from the hospital after 7 procedures and a new diagnosis of metastatic disease. Not every doctor would have even agreed to see me. Later that year, I was hospitalized again and the medical team told my husband I’d be dead in 3 days. That was almost a year ago. I have been ill for about ten years with chronic Lyme Disease. I have been to about fifty-five doctors and specialists who could not figure out what was wrong. In January 2017 I was looking at a very grim outcome.I was living (not really living at this point, tolerating) life with chronic migraines, severe allergic reactions (anaphylaxis), chronic infections, and extreme fatigue to where some days I could not even lift my head to brush my hair or make myself a meal. At almost thirty years old, I related better to seniors than my own age group. I was living in a fog. I wasn’t living anymore, I was tolerating, I was surviving. Sunridge Medical Center gave me my life back. The quality of life I had forgotten about. The quality of life I could not even remember having, because I had been so sick for so long. The doctors and medical team nursed me back to health - physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually by empowering me to listen to my body’s signals, needs, what it likes and what it does not, what works for my body and what it does not. They put my health back in my own hands. They confirmed that my feelings as well as physical reactions were valid and that I AM the person who knows my body best. They gave me my confidence back - in my health, in my wellness, and in my ability to communicate. Doctors wont tell you what you should do, force you to take medication that doesn’t feel right (or is not working), nor do they give you harsh timeframes and deadlines to meet. Doctors simply make educated “suggestions” and “recommendations”. Whether you choose to apply a treatment or supplement (or not )is completely up to you. Doctors don’t give you an ultimatum of “take this medication, or I can not treat you” or “take this medication, or you really are not sick” or “you seem young and you look healthy, are you doing this for attention” all projections of frustration from doctors who cant figure you out or can’t fix the problem and get mad at the patient or frustrated with the patient for that. None of that nonsense at Sunridge. They are trained and equipped to heal. Doctors also don’t give patients a rigid timeline of when treatment should reach completion. Because, every person is as unique as his or her own finger print. Even if two people have a similar disease or share some genes (relatives) each individual’s gene pool is unique to him or to her. Just like some medications work for one, the medication may not work for ten. A medication might work for fifty people, but this doesn’t mean it will work for one. Healing takes time and the length of time unique to each individual. So when asked when you are expected to get better, you may not be given a timeframe. Don’t let this alarm you or deter you from your healing journey. We can’t expect doctors to answer what they don’t know. Sometimes its important to surrender the need to control the outcome or the process of healing, simply allow your body to take the lead. When it is done healing, your body will know. My dad said to me March 2018, “now I understand what the doctor meant when he said you will know when your treatment is done”. A wise man once told me, “Hurry up and get better”. I think what he meant by this is “Yes you Can”.
