Played this course a couple of weeks ago. The improvement from a year ago is unbelievable! The course was in good shape, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the brat at the turn is a must. It remains one of my favorite local courses.

Jennifer, The director of catering and special events,, was excellent to work with. She guided me with consideration and understanding of the type of event that was held. The buffet was delicious. I would highly recommend Orange Tree golf resort for your special events.

Recently visited Orange tree and had a terrible experience with golf shop. Golfed here twice and the course overall is solid. Bought a glove that was defective and after 1.5 rounds i noticed it was wearing in a few different spots. Basically told me they wouldn’t do anything since it was worn. I haven’t worn out a glove like this in 15 years. How it was handled was beyond frustrating and very dissatisfied when all they had to do was promo it and give me a new one. Not the case and basically chalked it up as I had no clue. I get why you mighta question it, but I’m a 0-2 handicap and a professional in the industry for years. This time the glove had a defect in the leather and the golf shop guy's were no help at all. Thanks for the great experience :(

The staff at Orange Tree is always friendly. I love going to the Sports Edition after my round for an ice cold one. The ranger was easy to talk to and cheered me on when I hit a difficult chip shot. I am rounding up to 4 stars as a result of the friendly staff. The course is in okay condition. While the fairways are green and kept they are a little hard. The tee boxes are mostly in good condition. We did encounter some hard tee boxes making it difficult to get our tees in the ground. Where I will spend my time is on the greens. They were in fair condition at best. The greens at Orange Tree are tight in general. Great defense for an "easier" course. That being said, if you are going to have tight greens they should at least be receptive. I can't tell you how many times I had approach shots from 110-120 yards out hit the green bounce 6+ feet in the air, bounce several times after that, and land off the green. That's my only critique, I'd love to see the greens be a bit more receptive. Everything else was great including value for my round this time of year.

Course was in great condition. Staff was very friendly (especially Chip and Wayne) and accommodating. Overall just an amazing experience

The staff were extremely friendly and ensured we got the most out of our round. Pricing was also very reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Course was great value and staff were amazing. Chip and Wayne were hands down the nicest and most relaxed rangers I have ever seen in my life.

Got in on a discounted daily deal, amazing value. Course was in really good shape. Carts have digital screens and the cart angel was always there when wet needed her. But the highlight was honestly Chip and Wayne. These two guys were literally the friendliest course rangers I’ve ever encountered. Chip let us tee off a bit early, and Wayne was totally chill when we met him twice on the course. Best ambassadors you could ask for!

Kudos and shout out to OT’s management and leadership. Always been a favorite course of mine for many years—after some significant changes with their groundskeepers and elevating the conditions of the course to a new “high water mark”- I was very impressed playing on Black Friday and also in mid December ! Great job and truly excited for my first annual golf event hosted by Orange Tree in the fall!

Golf course in great shape,,better than it has been in a while. Pace of play was great as well, 3 of us played in less than four hours. Attended a wedding there a couple of weeks ago and the venue was great all around, from cocktail hour to the room decor and the food. Well done!

Title: Stay ruined by bugs, dirty room, and broken promises We stayed at Orange Tree Resort starting December 5th for what was supposed to be an early Christmas staycation, and the experience was extremely disappointing. On the first night in Room 304, I started itching in bed and initially thought it might be a reaction to the bath soap. The same thing happened the next day, even after I switched to my own soap, and I noticed what I thought was a mosquito bite. I spent most of the day in bed on December 6, and the itching continued. On the morning of December 7, the itching got much worse, and I woke up with multiple bites on my legs. Shortly after that, my husband got out of the shower and saw bugs crawling on the bathroom floor in Room 304. We checked the bed and saw bugs. At that point it was clear something was wrong with the room, and we contacted the front desk. We were moved at about 1:00 a.m. to Room 714. Unfortunately, things did not get better. The sheets in Room 714 were dirty, stained, and had hair on them, and there was also hair and a bug in the bathroom. When we called the front desk again, we were told there was no staff available to change the sheets and that we would either need to change them ourselves or move yet again. After dealing with bugs in the first room and then dirty bedding and a bug in the bathroom in the second room, we were not able to sleep at all. Management apologized and offered us a complimentary one-week stay voucher, good for a year, and said we would receive it by email by the end of the day. We never received it, and there was no follow-up from the resort. We booked through RCI using points. RCI has since refunded our points, which we appreciate, but Orange Tree itself has not followed through on what it promised us and has not made things right on their end. This was supposed to be a special, relaxing staycation and early Christmas gift to ourselves, but it turned into a stressful and unsanitary experience. I rarely leave negative reviews, but people should be aware of what we experienced. At a minimum, I would expect clean, bug-free rooms, honest communication, and follow-through on what management promises

Great course for 18! Decent pricing and we played fast enough to finish before it got too dark. Helpful staff and good rentals for my friend who got lefty clubs for the round.

Golf course doesn’t allow disabled people to drive to their balls. No carts off path. Marshals were great pick up and drop off people were great. The pro shop were a little snobby and the restaurant/bar were awful, never seemed to want to take orders for anything. Not going to be a repeat customer.

When you book a tee time online, it should tell you that it is cart path only. It should also tell you that you will not be able to use woods on the driving range. IF it doesn’t tell you no woods on the driving range, they should at least tell you that in the pro shop when you say you want a bucket of balls before a round. I would not have bought a bucket of balls had I known that I couldn’t warm up my driver and 3 wood before playing. I got a medium bucket to find out once I walked out on the range. Left 3/4 of the bucket there. Greens and fairways were in great shape. I played there a week before yesterday and the greens were bad, but yesterday looked so much better.

Played there on 10/28 and was very impressed with the overall condition of the course. A huge improvement over the past few years. The new superintendent should be commended for the quality of the overseed. Greens were a tad slow, but exactly what you would expect for them being recently overseeded. Highly recommend that people give it another chance, you won't be disappointed..p.s. Played in 4hrs, even with the cart path only rules in place !!!

Been seeing some negative reviews on this course and I dont understand why. Played there last Sat and even with the over-seeding and monsoons that hit a week before, the course looked awesome. Kudos to the maintenance crew for turning this ship around. The greens were true and the grass was great in the fairways. Great track!!

Not a good experience, play was slow, t-times were overbooked based on course conditions, cart path only due to overseeding, but course expected golfers to follow the time expected to play. I didn’t see a Marshall until our 8th hole. My group was hit into by impatient golfers behind us. It took almost 3 hrs to play 8 holes before it got dark enough where you couldn’t see!

loved the course. hated the 6 hour round today allowing a group of 12 and followed with a group of 8 even though all foursomes. there literally was a 10-15 minute wait on every t box. not sure why the back up. I’ve played in a crowded booking never took that long the ranger job was to keep people moving. 4:30 hours is a long round but 6 hours is ridiculous

I was a bit skeptical based on reviews from months ago, however, decided to give it a try as the course is fairly close to my home. Wow. I was in for a treat. Decent fairways and greens were nice. Weather was perfect and finished 18 holes in 2 hours 30 minutes. The reviews were quite positive the last few weeks. Kudos to Orange Tree for maintaining a golf course during the summer months in AZ.

Great room with golf course view. Plenty of amenities...room has some age though. Pool areas is stellar but quite the walk. Room & outside areas are extremely clean. Staff is very accommodating & helpful. Many rooms are very far from parking, clubhouse & pool. Will return though.

$108 to play this POS course. Absolute joke. Super friendly staff and nice facilities but it's beyond unfair to charge $108 for a course in this condition. I don't write reviews often but this was just to egregious not to say something for this price.

GOLFERS BEWARE!!!!!! Avoid this course. 5 hour round today, on the worst greens I have ever played on. The 5 hour round was due to a drunken golf outing. That I can deal with. However, the greens are literally dirt! Orange Tree, you should be ashamed to charge $100 a round and not tell people about the greens. I read the other reviews and your feedback, and still you don’t tell customers about your pathetic greens, they are dirt!

Recently my friends and I played a round at Orange tree, and I have to say, it was one of the most disappointing golfing experiences I've ever had. First off, the course conditions were far from acceptable. The greens were bumpy and poorly maintained, making putting a frustrating challenge. The sprinklers were turned on at 9 as we were trying to drive, creating a delay. Then at hole 10, as we were on the tee box , the sprinklers were turned on again. Additionally, the staff was not very welcoming, especially the marshal on shift. It felt like we were more of an inconvenience than valued customers. He micromanaged us on hole 9 as we waited for the sprinklers to be turned off, then had the audacity at 10 to tell us we’re a little behind and need to pick up and move up a hole. No one was behind us at this point and the foursome that was in front of us, stopped to get lunch. To top it all off, after we jumped a hole (marshal’s direction), the pace of play was painfully slow. We were stuck behind a group that seemed to have no idea how to keep things moving, and conveniently, there was no staff around to help manage the situation when it was actually needed. Overall, I left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had high hopes for a fun day on the course, but it fell short in every way. I won’t be returning, and I can't recommend this course to anyone looking for a good golfing experience. Save your money and play elsewhere!

What a wonderful place to stay. Our room was superb! Very modern and colorful. Plenty of seating and areas to lounge and relax. Yes parking can be an issue. However at the main desk they provide you with a golf cart ride to your room depending which building you are located. They have a hot tub and heated pool, gym and cornhole boards. Wide open spaces and a friendly atmosphere. Management is quick to help you with any needs should they arise. We had a wonderful stay and the staff was top notch. I highly recommend staying here even if you don’t golf that’s ok!

Great local course. Awesome staff Tok care of the tournament we played in there. Course was in good condition for playing after few days of rain. Had the banquet dinner there after the round. Tasty food and the staff keep up the great service.

Course was in great shape and absolutely enjoyed our round. Course plays flat and has a good layout. Greens were well maintained and fairways also looked and played great. Definitely will play again when back in town again.
