I'm often on the road between CA and AZ with a crazy work schedule. The guys here have always pulled through for me and kept my car in great shape; even when Im not on top of its maintenance schedule. They are reasonably priced, transparent and the manager Bryon is an honest/solid dude. Definitely recommend this location, they do what they can for their customers.
Horrible experience. Yesterday I came in for an oil change having no issues with my car. During the change I was informed the tip connecting the tank and the hose had been broken. I had been driving my car around with no leaking coolant, no check engine light on, nothing. (those tanks are very pressurized and I would’ve noticed an issue if that was the case before I came in) they also tried to say my coolant was completely empty (your car can’t safely operate if you coolant tank is empty) When I confronted them why there was now an issue they said someone previously must’ve broken it. Funny enough they changed my oil in October as well and no one else has seen my car since. It wasn’t an issue then. I left with my car and got 5 minutes away and my check engine light came on and my car started smoking. Now I had coolant all over. After it was towed back we spoke to the general manager this morning and she was very rude about everything. We got my car towed to a shop close by and was quoted a price way lower that included the tow, parts, and labor. Never again will I come here.
Rude employees and website says price match guarantee and I called two different locations with same brand tire they carry and determined that is a lie according to them.
Took my jeep in for a suspected bad wheel bearing. Not only did they charge me $38 for my FREE assessment, they didn’t hear the noise I was hearing. A person would have to be hard of hearing to not hear it. They told me the only thing they heard was road noise from the tires.
We were visiting the Phoenix area for Christmas and had to be able to drive back to Texas, so I took it to another mechanic and within minutes they diagnosed the bad bearing and was able to get it replaced the next day along with new brakes and rotors, so we would be safe on our trip home.
Highly disappointed in Pep Boys telling me there was nothing wrong. I’m not a mechanic, but I know the sound of a bad bearing and the difference between that sound and tire noise.
Bryon and Tyren were amazing! Both extremely patient and super helpful. Best customer service we’ve had in a while! They’re awesome and we will definitely be back because of them!

But I have to leave a 1 star now. After spending $1800+ on my A/C. The issue still hasn’t been resolved. I still don’t have a cold running car a/c. Sad…. Oh and I’ve had the car in there 2 times.
The only good thing they’re good at is billing me for additional work.
Chose this place to get some tires installed since it was the closest shop open Sundays. Noticed two days later that a lug bolt is missing, one is visibly crooked, others aren’t in evenly, and cosmetic damage to multiple wheels. One tire also under inflated 10 psi. Still working to assess possible hub damage from cross threaded bolts.
Edit/update: made zero progress through normal customer service pathways waiting on a response from the "field leadership team." After finally emailing a separate high level corporate support position, got approval to tow it to a BMW dealership for repairs. All told, after two weeks and about $2000 in repairs and rental car costs, I have a functional car back.
Just wanted to give a big thank you to N Scottsdale road store manager Bryon Shahan who was able to find time on a Saturday to address a brake job for my son's Nissan Pathfinder. He was extremely attentive, did his best to find optimal solution and kept us informed about potential coupon discounts. In short, he addressed the whole request from the Customer's point of view and kept our best interest in mind. I wish more managers in this space would do the same. I highly recommend bringing your vehicle to Bryon.
This is the third time they put in the wrong alternator, no refund for the $300 I paid for the wrong alternator, have not received any refund back for the 90 day labor warranty. Just a terrible experience overall. Also was charged close to $100 for towing?
I had a fantastic experience with Bryon and Andrew taking me last minute with needing an inspection for Lyft and Uber. I know they had a busy day but they squeezed me in as a walk in and great customer service. I'll keep coming. Thank you
They wouldn't honor my warranty for my battery because they said my alternator was bad. I took my 2019 truck to Toyota and it was just fine. Of course, after demanding a battery and threatening to call corporate, they finally gave me one. What a waste of my time!
We were staying at a nearby hotel and when checking out and heading out to the valet, we were told our car would not start. The battery was dead. The hotel was able to help us jump the car and get it on the road and we found this Pep Boys just a couple miles away and they took us in right away on a “rush basis“. They were able to turn us around in less than an hour, and we were on our way. Great service and the local rep was awesome!
Recently stopped by this location, as the manager Bryan leaves the store with no other manager just the technicians. Young gentleman Mikey, was helping me out speaking to me about my vehicle honest and amazing service by Mikey ⭐️. When Bryan came back he got mad at Mikey and pushed Mikey out of the way (super disrespectful) Bryan started helping me out and I smelled alcohol on his breath so I ended up leaving once I noticed the smell. The owner needs to take action for multiple reasons. Pep boys 0 ⭐️ Mikey 10+ ⭐️
I needed a ride share inspection. I walked in without an appointment and they were happy to help me right away. I have been getting my inspection done here for years.

My wife is too nice to leave a bad review, but she had an appointment and then waited an hour and a half before someone started working on her car - for a routine oil change. Mind you, she had 3 kids under 7 with her. We used to love how well we were taken care of at Pep Boys.
The worst service ever. I haven't been in a Pep Boys like this one!
With an (((((appointment)))) no one touched my car for about an hour and half!
And the garage was empty most of the time!

Bryon was absolutely incredible and made my terrible day turn around. I went in with a flat tire and a bad mood and he was so nice and personable. Great place and I highly recommend. Also as a woman I was so comfortable which I must say doesn’t happen often when I’m at any car repair shop. Highly recommend!
Amazing service!!! These guys were awesome. I needed 4 new tires, oil change, and alignment. My dealership never called me back and left me hanging after I reached out 3 times w no response. These guys were quick with a quote and appointment that fit my schedule. I got to take advantage of 2 sales and saved a bunch of money Love their work and they are professional and courteous.
I came here after my engine light came on, and the team was amazing. They squeezed me in last minute into their tight schedule, found the issues wrong with my car, and even built out a schedule and pricing for which fixes were urgent and which I could make later on so that repairing my car stayed affordable and manageable for me. The assistant manager Julian in particular was very helpful to me—he explained everything in great detail to me so that I could understand, he coordinated the timing of the separate repairs so that I could get my car back in time for when I needed it, and he found the issues, installed the new part, and personally drove my car to make sure it was safe before returning it to me, and communicated often and clearly throughout the process with me.
The team here is thorough, they are honest and have integrity, and the services are well-priced. I'm grateful that I found them when I needed help and I will return here in the future! Thank you!
These guys have treated me like I am their daughter from day one. Advise me on what’s practical to do to my car for the time being and what is on the priority list Then what I can wait on and have to save up for; being a single mother, it is one less stress in my life with two young girls I am so grateful and appreciative to pep boys (Monti) ! It’s wonderful to know I can pop in to get my tires filled whenever the weather changes! They are honest and answer their phone! Plus, they’re open till seven not five like the rest of the places!
Great experience at this location. Worked with a guy named Rudy, needed front axles replaced on my Subaru and he helped get me a discount on overall costs and parts and explained what work needed done in detail. Very quick turn around, dropped car off Tuesday evening and it was done the next day. Super grateful for the fast technical service and would highly recommend this location in Scottsdale if you are looking to service a vehicle. Keep up the amazing work guys!
