Another beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright design. We have never been disappointed when touring his homes. I would highly recommend a visit. We loved the self guided tour and all of the staff were very helpful.

Love visiting . Frank Lloyd Wright designs and architecture have been an inspiration to me . I love walking around and seeing the buildings . I really miss that they closed the architecture school down but it’s nice that it’s still there to see .

Excellent visit to a beautiful place. Loved the tour via app to allow for exploring at our own pace yet very informative. Everything was immaculate and preserved - really lovely surprise of our trip. Very enjoyable!

I've always known about Frank Lloyd Wrights' legacy of innovative design but now I've learned what that really means, what were his architectural concepts that he insisted on using. I appreciated the self-guided walking tour and imagining the lifestyle incorporated into the homes Wright designed. The home was beautiful! The gift shop was excellent! This was a worthwhile activity to spend a couple of hours at during my 5-day visit to Scottsdale, AZ.

Such an amazing place. Love the self-guided tour :-) A must see for both visitors and locals. Pls be sure to get tickets on their website as they do sell out. Bring headphones to use with their app or they can provide if needed.

Provided interesting insight into Frank Lloyd wright design philosophy and implementation. Fascinating to walk through the space as he actually created. Recommended if you're interested in his architecture.

The entrance fee felt a bit steep once you get in and realized how much is actually blocked and hidden from public access. The dining room is part of the audio tour but closed for staff to visibly eat their food in? It all felt a bit odd and like there was so much more to be seen on the grounds so while it’s all amazing I left feeling a bit disappointed! The audio guide could use an update as well and a physical map/brochure of the home could have been helpful.

I was just awesome struck by this location. The layout the details and the story was amazing. I am obsessed with the origami chairs and the use of canvas to diffuse the light. The place shows the difference between an engineered place and a place designed by an architect very clearly. As an engineer would struggle to make something thats not functional and efficient, am architect thrives in doing so. A must visit.

We took som guests here when they were visiting Scottsdale - we tried to take them when they last visited but it was fully sold out, so we planned a booked ahead online this time and are so glad we did. Such a great experience, even for those in the group who don’t normally enjoy museums/tours. We all found it incredibly peaceful and serene and a totally invigorating experience. We did the one hour self-guided tour and it was great. We were also lucky to have moderate weather and a clear day to enjoy the views to the best capacity. All of the staff and guides are welcoming and friendly. Even if you don’t have a tour booked it’s a nice drive and interesting gift shop (what we did last time) as the tours can be pricey but they are very worth it. The self guided tour was done via the app, so download it before you leave home (on wifi) and bring your own headphones - but they have adapters if you don’t bring your own headphones.

Must visit for architecture lovers. They also host a regular movie night in the movie room with popcorn and drinks for purchase - such a cool way to experience the space! Magical place to visit for evening happy hour events as well when they open up special areas to view.

Great experience to see Frank Lloyd Wrights western laboratory for architecture! Very interesting, helpful staff. We liked the self-guided audio tour.

Self paced and beautiful grounds to explore. Highly recommend getting tickets ahead of time as they sell out. Bring own headphones.

Taliesin West isn’t a polished museum. It feels more like stepping into Frank Lloyd Wright’s working brain, dropped in the middle of the desert. I didn’t do the guided tour, just the audio guide, and honestly, it works. You start noticing the small things: the hammer symbols everywhere (Wright’s idea of building as craft, not decoration), the clear influence of Chinese and Japanese architecture in the low roofs, long lines, and how space flows instead of being boxed in. Nothing screams for attention, but everything is intentional. Wright’s love for music shows up too. Some rooms feel composed rather than designed, like pauses and rhythms were planned the same way notes are. It’s quiet, but not empty. This place isn’t about comfort or perfection. You walk, you sweat, you think. The desert is part of the architecture, not a backdrop. And somehow, it all makes sense. If you’re in Phoenix, this is a must-see. Not flashy. Not precious. Just deeply human.

Taliesin West is such a beautiful place! I loved getting to wander from point to point, listening to the tour and being inspired to go home and DO something, gather people, start a school, anything!

Booked a self guided audio tour. Was skeptical at first but the audio tour was very well recorded and executed. Because it’s your own device you can pace it however you like. I found it on par if not better than a real person tour. There are knowledgeable staff to answer questions whenever needed. Must have a tour purchase to visit the camp, so make sure to book ahead! Place is cool and educational. Highly recommended for anybody has an interest in Wright’s work or architecture.

A unique space with a unique history. Great for those who like experimental architecture but don't know anything about Frank Lloyd Wright as well as the architecture nerds out there. I found the audio tour informative and interesting, but I recommend pushing the pause button along the way to form your own thoughts and to have a live discussion with those around you. Beautiful site.

I love architecture! The ticket is worth the cost for a self-guided tour. You will need to download the free audioguide to your phone. The staff can provide you with headphones, but I wished I had just known to bring my own. The path takes about an hour. The tour information is very interesting and unique.

No wonder this is a Frank Lloyd Wright design. It’s beautiful, truly beautiful. It blends functionality with romance and architectural authenticity perfectly. Definitely worth a visit. There’s also a small gift shop on-site, though you can buy most items from their online store as well. Just be sure to make reservations in advance, because spots fill up quickly.

Really wonderful Frank Lloyd Wright site. The Audio tour was easy to use and allowed me to explore Tasliein West on my own, pointing out a lot of really nice details I would have missed. I love that you are invited to experience the site thought your own eyes and even encouraged to sit in the hand made furniture to enjoy the spaces just as Frank and his team would have decades ago. I do think some aspects are in need to refurbishment especially when it was dripping with all the rain, but I do know that it’s an old building and it wasn’t designed to get the weather out fully. The white buckets catching water were a little distracting from the beauty of the space. It didn’t take away from the overall experience though. The tour lasted about 1-hour from start to finish, so plan to be there early enough so you can finish up before they close. The adjoining store also had some really nice memorabilia.

Frank Lloyd Wright's genius design skills are at work here. The buildings look like they have always been there, which is the hallmark of his designs. Definitely a must see attraction in the Phoenix-Scottsdale area.

I enjoyed learning about FLW and his apprentices. Owning a home designed and built by Blaine Drake, one of FLW’s original apprentices, deepens my appreciation for my house, Mid-Century Modern architecture, and FLW history.

Such a great tour. FLW was so iconic to both Arizona and architecture. We did the hour audio tour which was very informative. This is a must see attraction.

Loved it! So informative and the guided tour was simply wonderful. Hard to imagine how all this was built in this hot landscape so many years ago! Very inspiring! Highly recommend!

This was a great introduction to the complex. It was discovery day so the cost was only $5.00 each to go on a self guided tour. All the grounds and buildings were accessible and along the way they had hosts to provide details at various locations as well as answers questions. They also invited some other groups to provide information about their services. They also had some food vendors, activities and music. Free parking was provided and the fee allowed us to stay as long as we wanted. I was surprised that for a Saturday it not crowded and it was easy to view each location and enjoy the grounds. The store has a variety of keepsakes and beautiful creations for sale and the staff are very friendly.

The house in relation to the geography creates an ethereal setting that will leave you dazzled. It's an incredible way to experience Right's genius as you look through a window or a vista and realize that every turn, every view was meant to inspire. The tour goes by too quickly, like a dream you don't want to end. The controlled number of guests is also very important as the interior spaces are smaller than you think.

It’s really easy to drive past the entrance since the sign blends in with the landscape. So keep an eye out! We took the self guided tour. The property was stunning, and we really enjoyed learning about Wright’s process and the history behind the property. Absolutely beautiful. The gift shop had so many unique items, too! Lots of locally made pieces.

This tour—no kidding—changed my brain. Walking through the property was an expansive journey, and the audio tour was educational and really helped ground me in the space and pull me into the details of Frank Lloyd Wright’s design and philosophies. I can’t recommend this enough for lovers of design, story, and interesting spaces. I left inspired and with an augmented appreciation of the power of organic architecture, playfulness, and of spaces designed to foster community. If any questions come up for you, I highly recommend asking them to the staff present throughout the tour— they provided additional anecdotes and history that very much enriched our experience. My one regret is we didn’t go earlier in the day to be able to take more time soaking up the unique spaces.

Taliesin West is a must see for any fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, architecture, history houses, or the desert southwest. I visited on an incredibly hot day in the summer during their morning opening hours. The audio tour, delivered through an app you download to your own device, is exceptionally good. The audio tour is one of the top 10 audio guides I’ve ever used anywhere in the world. It’s strikes the perfect balance guiding you through the site while at the same time providing just the right amount of interpretation of Wright’s work and time at Taliesin. The gift shop here is a must visit with a very well curated inventory of items connected to Frank Lloyd Wright, Asian art, and architecture in general. Simply excellent all around.

Glad I took advantage of seeing this amazing property. Decided to go early before it got hot. The morning summer sun was spectacular with all of the features of the buildings on the property. You really should see the example of architecture when visiting Arizona. Highly recommend.

I was visiting from Pennsylvania. This was a fantastic place to visit about the history of Frank Lloyd wright along with his many designs. I took the self-guided tour so I went at my own pace and was fascinated by all the interesting architectural elements of the Frank Lloyd wright house. One of the highlights that I saw was the drawing room and in the drawing room where sketches of a synagogue which is located only 3 mi away from my home here in Pennsylvania. Actually a friend of mine got married in that synagogue. The people there were very friendly and the gift shop had many souvenirs to choose from. I would definitely recommend this place. I really enjoyed it.
