Came in for some preventative maintenance and the following happened: Transmission fluid drain and fill: issue happened that "was not their fault" new parts needed to be ordered. Instructed them not to do any oil change: They did one regardless and charged me. Inspection and emissions: I was told everything was okay. Ended up being several hundred dollars more than anticipated because of the "mishaps" Today, a month and a half later, my car's engine failed after oil leaking, and it was the last time I got to drive my prized possession. Unfortunately I do not recommend this shop.

When my BMW M5 went out of warranty at Ottos, I started using Tommy's - my previous service advisor Kevin had moved there. Kevin and the crew here have been fabulous. I now take all my cars here and I drive 45 minutes to get to this shop it is that good. They are honest and just nice to deal with. Highly recommend them!

Tommy and his crew are freaking amazing. I am new to the Bridgeton area and it's been a challenge to get work done on my 2006 Ford Expedition. Got my car in and got a new battery. Wow. This is the guy for auto repairs. He and his family are friendly, kind and get-it-done.

This is the kind of shop you want to do business with. Full stop. Had a head gasket failure on my old landcruiser, they came highly recommended. I got it to them and received a full breakdown with all possible options and remedies from Kevin. He went way out of his way to price a full engine swap vs head gasket replacement and all related work that should be done while the top is off my old beauty. He gave great advice considering my specific circumstances and was patient while I decided my final decision. This 20 yr old truck is running like a top a thousands miles after their work. When I went in to pick it up it was the first time I saw the shop or met them in person, I had it towed to them sight unseen from phila originally. Went in, met Kevin and Tommy and took a peak into the garage itself. Incredibly well organized, clean and a jovial staff that clearly cares about their work and enjoys the environment they do it within. Let me reiterate. This is the kind of shop you want to do business with… I’m about to make the drive back out to them for a simple oil change because I’m 100% confident the work will be quality and fairly priced.

My wife and I have brought our 2018 Q7 to Tommy's prior for what we were told was a "major issue" from another repair facility that would not accept our warranty. Tommys did accept the warranty but said it really should not be a big issue and turns out it wasn't. Now fast forward to today's visit: We came in thinking we were going to need a ton of stuff to pass inspection. We were financially preparing for the worst and it turns out Tommy's once again completed the job with extreme integrity. It was about 312 bucks. That included the oil change we needed. When you feel completely helpless because of your automobile needs, turn to Tommy's they will not steer you wrong. They could have killed us multiple times, through my three vehicles (2 audi's and a VW) and time after time, they are honest and it keeps me coming back and of course spending more money over the lifetime of my cars. Go to Tommy's, you will not need another mechanic ever

I called to ask a few questions regarding a vehicle that had been serviced at Tommy's and didn't expect an answer. I got a call first thing Monday morning and the person I spoke with was super helpful and had nothing to gain from being patient and helping me with a purchase decision. Kudos to this shop from multiple states away

I brought my Honda here as a last resort before I traded it in because I was sick of dealing with the constant issues. I am SO glad I decided to give this shop a try and bring it in, because my Honda has never run better. I would happily recommend this place to anyone and will only be bringing my cars to this shop in the future. I am grateful for their honesty, hard work, and dedication!!

Tommy's has maintained multiple vehicles of mine from a diesel pickup to a 900hp turbo Lexus they were great with everything I brought them. This is the shop to bring your vehicles to if you want them fixed right the first time.

Cannot recall the last time I have went to a mechanic shop and been so satisfied as I have been with my recent first time visit to this shop. Honest and knowledgeable at diagnostic even with a complicated old BMW. Communication while your car is in the shop is 10/10. Highly recommend this place. Came highly recommended to me, and it did not disappoint.

My son has a 2004 Volvo S40 that's in good shape but had a leaking heater core. I took the car to eight supposed European car repair shops in the area. Some wouldn't even touch it. Tommy's Automotive checked it out to make sure it was the heater core and completed the tedious job, which entailed the removal of the entire dashboard, at a substantially lower price than I received anywhere else. They put the 20 year old car back together and you wouldn't know it was even worked on. Great shop and great communication throughout the process. I won't take my car anywhere else going forward. I highly recommend Tommy's!

I’ve run a mechanic/repair shop in Minneapolis Minnesota for the past several years. My partner and I just moved to West Chester for promotions with our employers. Based on the exceptional reviews for Tommy's I brought my FJ40 to them when I was running into issues. It ended up being something simple and Tommy was able to diagnose it very quickly and didn’t even charge me for his time. They are an exceptional shop and always do right by the client. Bought a used Toyota Corolla for my daughter, not long after, the transmission failed. Called my usual mechanic and they do not replace transmissions. A friend recommended I give Tommy’s a call. From my first phone call with Kevin, and throughout the whole process was blown away by the honesty and outstanding customer support. Kevin was amazing to work with and explained in excellent detail the whole process. He also had the team inspect the entire car and assured me other than the trans issue, the car was safe and in proper working condition. As much as it hurt to unexpectedly have to replace the transmission in a car I just purchased, the experience at Tommy’s was second to none and they earned my business moving forward. It’s hard to find and honest, reliable and friendly mechanic, but Tommy’s is all of that. I cannot recommend them enough.

I would recommend Tommy’s Automotive to anyone in the area looking for car help. I’m a young female and have been targeted at certain car shops and price gouged, but not here!! Kevin made me feel extremely comfortable with asking questions and showing concern since I am new to the area. They even helped me get home since I had no ride. They’re honest, helpful, and made me feel like a family member. Kevin was awesome, and all the workers there were very friendly (even the pup:) ). I came in with tire pressure issues and let them know I don’t have a ton of money for repairs right now, and they took me in without question and didn’t charge me for anything since I didn’t have to get anything done. Seems like a small thing but was amazing to feel heard. I even called Kevin for advice when getting to a tire shop and he was super helpful, honest, and supportive. 11/10 would recommend, I will definitely be going there for my car issues!

Tommy’s is the best. If you’re like me, the thing you care the most about with regard to auto repair is honesty and excellence. Tommy’s excels at both. Nothing is more frustrating than endlessly returning to a repair shop because of a bad initial diagnosis or sloppy work. You never need to worry about that at Tommy’s. They only repair what is needed, and the repairs they make are done right the first time. As an owner of a Mercedes, I especially appreciate their intimate and expert knowledge of European cars, and their concern to keep my car running its best at a reasonable cost. That’s really all you need from an auto repair shop, but Tommy’s does it all with a level of kindness and thoughtfulness that is extremely rare these days. You can’t go wrong with Tommy’s Automotive in West Chester. Trust me.

I have been looking for a new mechanic for a while now and I am so happy to say I found Tommy's Automotive. They completed my car's inspection as well as diagnosed a timing chain issue, it's important to note 3 other mechanics dismissed this issue as "just something that happens to Honda's". I will be recommending Tommy's to everyone and can honestly say I will be taking my car and any future cars I have here. Keep up the great work!

I don’t write very many reviews, but Tommy’s deserves a very good one. I am very particular and look at a car as a big investment that should be properly maintained. I have done my own brake work and oil changes, but prefer to have it done by a professional. Unfortunately I have had too many bad experiences at other places with poor workmanship at high prices that it drives me back to doing it myself. I read so many positive reviews about Tommy’s that I decided to try them out. I started with my son’s Honda Pilot for an inspection and they identified an issue with a brake caliper that they said would pass inspection (honest) but recommended repairing. I appreciated their honesty on that and asked them to fix it; which they did at a very fair price. A year later the Pilot needed a valve adjusted at 120,000 miles; they did a great job at a very competitive price. I had a similar experience with the timing belt on the same car. My Audi, which I take very good care of, was due for inspection, new tires and brakes (including rotors since the brakes were pulsing and everything was still original with 65k miles). I shopped around and Tommy’s had very fair prices. Gerry called me and said my brake pads still had plenty of life and recommended just turning the rotors; what an honest business and saved me a bunch of money. I also noticed on the paper work that they used an on-car lathe to surface the rotors - this is the gold standard way to do this work. High quality work, fair prices and a very honest business - what more could you ask for? Very happy to be able to support such a great business.

These guys are AWESOME! Mike W. is a great technician Jerry B. is fantastic and explains things so I can understand whats wrong with my car. They are so busy but still manage to get the work done in a timely manner. Prices are very reasonable, especially compared to other shops! I have NEVER had a problem after taking my car there. Tommy's automotive makes me feel like I've known them for years! I'd love to have a beer with these guys, they are hard working HONEST and dependable. If I didn't like my job, I would want to work with them!Tommy's automotive is the best! Most trustworthy bunch of guys I know.
