Was the first shop that actually helped solve my multi-months long hunt for the source of a horrendously loud noise coming from the front of my car. Adam and the staff were very knowledgeable and explained everything about why the passenger wheel bearing could be the cause of resonant sound coming from the driver-side. I ordered and installed the bearing and it solved 100% of my road noise and vibration issues. They were also respectful that I chose to do the replacement myself and were not pushy at all. 5 stars isnt enough, they deserve at least 50 stars after being able to solve an issue that 10 other shops couldn't diagnose. If I would have brought my car here first, I would have probably saved like $1500+. Good mechanics are rare nowadays, and they are GOOD.

Happy with transmission I purchased, Andy the service manager needs to learn how to speak to customers on the phone and in person. Was told the day the transmission would arrive they would install it the same day and it would be done by that evening. When I called about truck he tells me no one told me that! In a very demeaning tone of voice and said it takes 3 days to install a transmission! Lady behind the counter super nice!

I've had work done here twice now. I had a remanufactured transmission put in and they just fixed an oil leak in my rear main seal. They were the least inexpensive place to do both of these jobs. And yes, I got quotes. To fix my rear main seal, they were ⅓ of the price of the other 2 places I checked. They do great work and I'm very glad to have my vehicle back. Thanks for doing a great job and I will be back if I need service again.

I would definitely avoid this place and do not recommend. Save your time and your money. Brought my daughter's car to them 11 months ago. They replaced the transmission with a 1-year warranty. My daughter startted to have issues with the transmission. We dropped the car off almost 2 weeks ago. They call us back. saying she went over the mileage on the warranty. Rules are rules and things happen. However, they showed no empathy nor a sorry. They went on to say that they will rebuild it for $3,300. Nothing about maybe we can give you a discount or anything for being a valued customer. We told them we're going to pick it up. We dropped it off to another local shop. $1,600 and the car was fixed in 4 days. Spend your time and money elsewhere. They're all about collecting money. Workers are not friendly and not worth your time!

Paid for complete CVT transmission that was not done right and two times they never told me that on the transmission pan said DO NOT SERVICE RIGHT ON THE TRANSMISSION they said they changed the filter and fluid but all they did was drain 3 qt and put in three twice that is not a flush right after the second service the transmission sent a code low pump pressure took it right back next day they cleared the code and said drive it this weekend and if it dose it again come in Monday morning. Drove it about 100 miles and it sent me another code ,long story but I added videos of the transmission on here this has cost me 2019.00 don't ever have this shop service your CVT transmission

Called to get some advice on my unfortunate position of losing a transmission. Got a call back from Jim 10 minutes later, who was extremely helpful in explaining and guiding me through the best route forward. I don't think I will call any other transmission specialist besides Waterloo in the future, as they were very understanding, and very professional. A+++

DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! BEWARE THEY RUIN YOUR CAR AND NOT HELP TO FIX IT ANY WAY!!! My husband took his car her last year to have his transmission fixed. They fixed it and this year a piece went bad. We dropped the car off to have the problem fixed around the end of June . We got our car back and none of the gauges work. Speed, rpms, gas, none of them. They have had our car for over 6 weeks. We have a trip coming up and have not asked them for anything other then to fix car. So today we asked if they could cover a rental for the weekend since we took the car with plenty of time to fix the transmission issue and they also messes up the car and haven’t been able to fix it. The person I spoke with said that they would cover our rental and also have our vehicle sent to a GMC Dealership to be fixed and they would cover cost. Well now they are saying that they never said this. Then it turned into we will cover your rental for 2 days. How about you have had my car for over 6 weeks. You can cover a rental for 4 days when you are the ones who messed it up and can’t figure out what you did or how to fix it!!! I will never recommend this place to anyone!! We should of went to millennium to have it serviced!!! This place is a freaking joke!! And their staff is so unfriendly and unhelpful! Avoid it!!

10/10 on customer service. 10/10 on quality of work. They’re honest and provide clear explanations on what they discover is wrong with the vehicle. They rebuilt our Silverado transmission 7 years ago and it’s still going strong today! We have put more than 50,000 miles on the rebuilt transmission. I HIGHLY recommend them!

10/10 experience. My sister and I were visiting from out of town, and as we were leaving to drive home, we experienced some serious car trouble. Thankfully Waterloo was close, and soon after we arrived, they had pulled a technician off a job to take a look to help us get home. It ended up being a quicker fix than we all thought. Jessica and the team were so kind and generous with their time. They explained everything clearly, and Annabelle, the office dog, was a great comfort! We are so thankful for the Waterloo team!!

Good service, good warranty. Very good at keeping you up to date with what is going on with your vehicle. Would have been a 5 star except when I got my vehicle back there was motor oil of some sort all over my back seat mats about a 1/4 inch deep.

Waterloo Transmissions is a fantastic shop! Most places try to get over on you and charge you for stuff you never needed, but Jim and his team kept me in the loop and tried really hard to recreate the issues I had. I will recommend you guys every time! Thanks for keeping it honest 😊

Went in for a transmission diagnostic, and it needed replaced. Andy and the team there were great. It took a while to get the part in so they graciously housed my vehicle free of charge since the work was being done there, it saved me money on getting it towed back and forth. I own a 2017 Ford Escape, and the transmission on it failed. For a second time. I took it to the service department where I purchased the vehicle only to be told I was out of warranty. They didn’t even warranty the work that had been done on it previously. After deciding never to use this service department again, I went on a search and found Waterloo Transmission. After diagnosing the issue, I was given 3 options to get the car repaired within my budget and needs. They were upfront, explaining everything in full detail. Once I made my choice, they were able to save me $2000.00! The day my car was to be done, the tech didn’t like how it was acting on the road test and he insisted they keep it longer to check it again until it met their standards! I will refer everyone I know to this shop. I am so beyond grateful to you. My car is running better now than the day I purchased it!

Waterloo Transmission is a breath of fresh air in the service industry. They honestly do quality work at reasonable prices with excellent customer service. I would have no problem recommending Waterloo to family and friends or anyone else who needs transmission work. And I should mention that they were 2 hours from my home but I chose they for the work on my Nissan because they had the most reasonable pricing backed by a guarantee and also had the work done when promised. My car has never ran better and I owe Waterloo a big thanks for that.

These guys are top notch. They were able to get me in the next morning after calling right before closing. Within 2 hours they diagnosed and called me back with the solution. I found I had a warranty thru my dealership. When I let them know they were actually happy for me. Most shops would have had an attitude about loosing my business. I feel like I bought a new car. They fixed axle noise and suspension problems. I liked the total experience. I have a 2008 vehicle and parts take time to get but it was well worth it. Jessica kept you informed the whole time and her little dog is just the cutest. I would recommend them highly

The staff at Waterloo helped a very painful process go very very smoothly for us and our vehicle. They were extremely knowledgeable and repeatedly granted discussions with several of their lead text and their secretary. They also offered the largest and longest warranty of anybody else in the business so that helped our decision as well. It's been 2 weeks and our truck is driving great. Great staff and 🐶, work was done faster than expected and the price wasn't too bad. I pick up my car in the morning and hopefully it'll be much better. Update: I went to pick up my car and when I told her who I was she looked at me like I was crazy and said it wouldn't be done until Friday. I told her the man called last night at 5:15 and said they had to do more work than expected but it was done and I could get it in the morning. She said he must have been confused. I got a ride back home, although she did offer to take me home and I guess I'm waiting until Friday. Even though they did have to do extra work the price was still very acceptable if it doesn't go up anymore. Definitely a lack of communication. Great prices and expertise on transmission work, but definite lack of communication. Update and conclusion: I got my car back Friday afternoon and everything seems to be good. The price was the same as I'd been told beforehand, the car seems to be running much better, so aside from the lack of communication, not bad.

These guys did a phenomenal job replacing my clutch in my Jeep Patriot and the customer service was great. We had problems getting a master cylinder but since it took a couple of days longer than expected they paid for my rental for the couple of extra days. Honestly though Jessica at the front desk was probably the highlight of the experience. Her customer service skills and communication skills were stupendous. They’re very lucky to have someone as talented as her running the front desk. Thanks again.

I called Waterloo Transmission after having an extremely upsetting experience with a mechanic from a different business work on my car twice and not fix the problem. The time that Jim from their service department took with me on the phone was outstanding! He did not rush me off the phone and listened to me patiently with a genuine desire to help. He was respectful and gave me very helpful suggestions so that I could make an informed decision on what were the best steps for me to take. His clear communication and caring really made a difference in helping me decide what to do next. This is a business that clearly cares about not only the work they do but also how they communicate with and treat people.

I use my truck for business every day. My Allison Automatic Transmission started having issues. Jim got my truck in the same day and started on it. They had it back to me in one week.
