So I called this place to check and see if they had my engine in stock. The guy who answered the phone, who I believe was the owner, acted like I was wasting his time by asking a few simple questions and promptly hung up the phone on me. Very rude! If this is any indication of their customer service, I would steer very clear of buying any engine from them.
Zam Company provides great service and is very well-known in the industry. They offer excellent guidance and advice on used car engines and transmissions.
Sold us the incorrect engine for a customer's vehicle. The vehicle was originally a 2011 Honda Civic LX which comes from Honda with a D17A1 engine which has no VTEC, they gave us the incorrect engine for a EX trim which is a D17A2 and has VTEC. Engine was installed in the customer's car in August, came back in January 20 with check engine lights due to it being the incorrect engine. Codes do not appear right away until driving it some miles, that's the way it works. ZAM is unwilling to make it right and swap out the engine for the correct trim. Unfortunately we can no longer do business with them, will let other dealerships and shops know of this issue. Not the way you condone business.
