brought a good amount of scrap in a whole pool and a bunch of other items close to 3-500 pounds they told me it was all tin so they gave me a lower price 45$ total for everything. here’s the real kicker the magnet was used to get everything off my trailer. every last item magnetized to the magnet so beware i use to come here sense i was 12 i will no longer if i have a choice wouldn’t recommend they use to be a good place
Visited today for my first time, had been using a yard only a few miles away...Dean's gave me 90 cents more per lb for number 1 copper than I got yesterday from other scrap yard...a little farther away but definitely worth the drive
I would recommend any other scrap yard. The hours say 7 to 4.but what it should say is 7 to whenever they feel like closing. The people In the office are polite. But there's one gentleman in particular who should retire if you want to go home at 3:30 change your hours to 7 to 330. That's no way to run a business. One more thing the yard is a disaster. To sum it up. Poor service and flat tires are about the only thing you'll get at deans scrap yard.
Dean scrap metal challenges the stigma sometimes associated with scrap yards by being genuine, eager to help, fair, openly honest and personable people who enjoy and take pride in the work they do. Within my 20 to 30 minutes of being there I had about seven people ask me if I needed help, received help or helped guide me step by step through their process. I'll definitely be using them again for my scrapping needs.

Most scrap metal places I’ve been to, the workers aren’t very friendly or they look like they just got “released”. This was not the case today. The workers here were very friendly and helpful and the area you drove through was pretty clean (Didn’t have metal bits scattered everywhere to slice your tires) for a scrap yard. Money was fair for the small load I dropped off and it’s convenient to get into. Will be coming here from now on.
I help people with directions or information about a place if needed and vice versa. Dean's scrap yard is an excellent way to recycle and make money to. The price reasonable. It a good place to go get extra money.
I used to use Alter Scrap Metal in Chickasaw,Al. but have determined that Dean's Scrap Metal is much closer. They seem to pay about the same. Which saves me time and gas money. I have never had to wait in line. Pull in. Weigh up. Get paid. Pull out. That simple. THANK YOU DEAN'S SCRAP METAL FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!
