It's rare to see such great customer service. On top of that, I was very impressed to learn about their commitment to the environment, with R2/RIOS certification and a 98% recovery rate for devices. Fantastic experience with zero complaints. Rolando was great! He cleaned out our old IT equipment from our office very quickly, but at the same time very thoroughly. Will 100% be using their services again in the future.
Great customer service the employees are very nice and welcoming especially Melissa. The facility is very clean also, they have refreshments for us (the drivers). First time I’ve seen that.
Have been picking up here for a while and Brenda Hernandez always helps loading the freight on the truck very safely and is also very friendly and respectful👍

As a small computer repair business owner, I appreciate the professional and considerate interactions I've had with Ms. Chavez. Her team is always very helpful when unloading the desktop and laptop units and boxes of mixed parts.

Potomac eCycle is the best company I've ever had as a truck driver thanks to their people at pick up and delivery. I want also mention Thory who was very helpful at every step of the way making work experience with them enjoyable.
I reached out for help cleaning out the leftover equipment from a datacenter, and Potomac eCycle scheduled a team to come at my convenience and following the guidelines of the loading dock. I wasn't present, only sent pics of what I wanted to keep, and they took everything else, including the trash for me. The team lead made a quick call just to make sure the items on my imperfect photo were the right ones, and in the end the whole space was empty. Great experience, will 100% use next time.
They no longer take residential e-waste. Went to drop off an SUV full of servers and towers and was told they have changed their business model and only take large 53' trailers full of servers from all the data centers and no longer take small loads from individuals. If that's your business model, that's fine but if you used to do this and no longer do, the website should make this plain. The website doesn't state anything about residential e-waste one way or the other but if you used to and now you don't, you should make that obvious.
EDIT: 17 days ago they posted in their Google updates a post which contained the information "Whether you're disposing of old electronics AT HOME or managing IT assets for a company, we make the process secure, responsible, and hassle-free"
Went to see if they take aluminum recycling, man that was a mistake. They have no signs for where to enter their building so I went through an opening that I finally saw and asked someone if they take aluminum, he said that they didn’t, so I said “okay, thank you!” and was heading out, when another guy came out of nowhere, freaking out that I shouldn’t be here. I said “that’s fine I’m just heading out” but he insistently said “no, you have to come with me and sign in”. I obliged, but then he continued to ask some other incriminating questions and then asked to scan my ID… I didn’t let that happen.
He continued to make me feel dumb for even asking if they take residential aluminum. The whole experience was very unsettling and I wouldn’t recommend any individuals to visit this business.
Essentially a joke. Just stay away from this place. They don't take anything and pay you peanuts for what they take. They don't take printers, laptops, tablets or phones. Oh and they accept only business drop-offs. If you're a citizen wanting to do the right thing for the planet, go somewhere else.
I think it is great that they offer their services, but I don't like being charged for like IMacs (and other all-in-one computers) the weight fee as for an LCD monitor. These systems are as good as desktops, just with less air inside and should more or less even out to be free of charge (getting money for the motherboard and paying some for the LCD screen) and make sure you count what you drop off like mice/keyboards they charge you for.
I want to like this place, just not sure yet... When dropping by I was told I could watch and talk to the folks performing destruction. That didn't happen. I handed devices off to never see them again. Why do you need to take my picture and ID? Seems suspicious. I asked for proof of destruction and got a short laugh and response of well ok. Hmmm... If you are the owner, please help us trust you. Stop being intrusive and verify the destruction.
I called ahead to confirm they'd take what I had (computer parts, including motherboards and processors) and then drove 30 minutes to get there. Then the lady tells me they won't take less than five bucks worth. Regardless of whether my stuff was actually worth that (I think it was) they should put a warning on the website saying they don't take small lots.
Bottom line, unless you're dealing in industrial sized lots, this place probably isn't worth your time.
EDIT: It's been about a year, and I noticed they've updated their website with a notice about the $5 minimum. Kudos to them for that.
