My five star rating for this amazing establishment is LONG overdue. I got my rear tires replaced at a used tire shop, and it was after that something towards the front vibrated when going at higher speeds. I took my car back to the used tire shop thinking it was because I had newer rear tires in the back and asked for a tire rotation. They tried to tell me it was because of an engine mount issue and also one of my rims was bent. The guy who told me said they had a mechanic and pointed me to his truck. A bit dodgy if you ask me! I told a coworker about this later that day, and she recommended me to see Stewart at Clark’s Automotive. So I called, told him about my car and told him what the guy from the used tire shop said. I made an appointment, and Stewart was extremely honest with me and stated I just need an alignment and a tire balance! I think any other mechanic at other places would have tried to rip me off, but he didn't. I went ahead with the alignment and the balance. By the way, their alignment is cheaper than other places! There's a reason why this place is highly rate with a 4.8. I also highly recommend Clark's, and I highly recommend people ask for Stewart.

Clark's Auto was great. I had been told this would be a good place to take my 1960 Corvette. I needed a new starter and Dave took great care of me. He put it up on the rack and walked me through the entire underside of the car, pointing out the condition of everything (and everything was good!). Thanks to T.J., Jen, and Dave! I'll be back.

This company is amazingly honest. I've lived in northern virginia entire life. THERE IS NOBODY BETTER!

Stuart gave us a lot of information and talked to us about our car for an extended time. Got it running. Told us what was best to fix and best to wait. He IS VERY HONEST.

Really happy with my experience here! Was passing through and came here on a Friday afternoon needing an oil change, alignment, and diagnoses for a rattling noise from the suspension. Wasn’t expecting them to have time for me but they happily obliged! Great work at a fair price, diagnoses came back as nothing serious, car drives straight and true now. Thank you so much for taking the time and giving me peace of mind on my journey!!!

They won't rip you off and lie to your face. Seems like the only truthful place! Dealership spilled oil in our engine and they did not clean it up. It smelled like burning oil. We are so thankful for Clarks cleaning up messes made by other shops.

Brought a misfiring 95 Corvette into the shop, Dave was able to diagnose the vehicle without the car being able to communicate with any scan tool. Turns out I had to have my water pump and Opti replaced (such is the experience of having an LT1 engine). I have to say that it didn't cost as much as I thought it would! A few days later I ran into some misfiring again and they took it back and fixed it no problem. Super chill people, I'm a very anxious guy and I ask a bunch of questions and they didn't get annoyed, which I really really appreciate. Much appreciated guys, and special thanks to Dave.

Took my car to their shop to have a fuel pump replaced, 2 days later a check engine light comes on, took it back to their shop, they checked the code, told me it was an emissions related code and could do another diagnosis but are going to charge me $140 and I would be responsible for parts and labor. WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU FIND ANOTHER SHOP WITH HONEST PEOPLE. Already paid these people over a grand for the fuel pump and they won’t Do the right thing and do a diagnosis for free and fix their mistake. Ps customer service is terrible. UPDATE: took my car to a reputable mechanic and found Clark’s automotive did in fact miss something on the install of a new fuel pump….they missed a simple sensor they needed to plug in. Thankfully I didn’t take it back to them and waste another 140 dollars on their “smoke test” and whatever else they were going to try and charge me for.

My neighbor recommended Clark's so we gave them a try. We are very happy with the experience. They got us right in, gave an estimate on the spot. Called me later and said the cylinder misfire was from a fuel injector, not the suspected ignition coil, so the total bill was about $20 cheaper than the estimate. They also pulled a nail from a tire and plugged it, for only $12. We are very happy customers!

First and last time I use them. I came in with what I thought was a starter and air suspension problem. They "fixed" both and my car is worse now. When I brought it back the front desk said to take a video so they know what the issue is. I was able to take the video and they said they will fix it. Three days later (after they already had my car a week of repairs), I called and they stated the car isn't stalling to start and they can't do anything. I’ve had to call to get updates on repairs the entire time. When I came in the office the front desk staff wouldn’t acknowledge me or even look at me. Yelp review shows video of car worse than when I dropped it off.

I use this company for all of my light commercial vehicles. I had a loose vacuum hose that was throwing check engine light codes. They acknowledged it was a simple fix and charged accordingly. Recently, another fleet vehicle was stalling at red lights and stop and go traffic. They got the van back up and running. I'm happy not just with the amount of the bills, which is fair market value, but more so with the honesty behind the work. I'd recommend this company to anyone who needs a repair on their car.

Clark's Automotive is bar far THE best shop I have ever had my car serviced at in Northern Virginia. Not only are they timely and fair-priced, their customer service is unrivaled. From front office to the mechanics, Clark's cares, and it shows in the excellence of their work and their genuine kindness towards everyone they interact with! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I WOULD READ THIS. I am heavily disappointed. After checking the reviews I was hopeful, but now I’m convinced most aren’t true at all. After dropping it off at the end of July, it was about a month until my car was totally fixed. That is insane. Especially when you have to get to work and everything else a normal person has to do. The first week of them not fixing it was my fault, as they told me the estimate was $1200 to fix and I didn’t know if I could afford it. After calling and giving them the go ahead it took about two weeks for anything to be done. THEN after coming home from picking up my vehicle I noticed that they didn’t even replace my tire that they charged me for. I called back and let them know and they said “that it was right next to them”. Thankfully they realized their mistake and took it in right away the next day. Was told I would receive a discount but definitely never got one. WELL, after getting my car back again after that mistake, I’m driving and notice a weird noise coming from my wheel. Called them and took it back for them to tell me that they had put a part on backwards that was causing the noise. So all in all my car spent a month in that shop, with mistake after mistake. Also after picking it up that time I noticed that the key I told them to lock in the car wasn’t there and thankfully was able to get the attention of two workers leaving for the day who went back inside and grabbed the key for me. Otherwise I would’ve had to come back AGAIN for my key. I was super frustrated. Just shoddy work all around and not great customer service. I would not recommend coming here, especially if you want to get your car back in a timely manner with no mistakes.

Great place. Needed safety and oil change. Didn’t have an appointment but they took care of me quickly. Great friendly staff. Will definitely come back! Update 22Jul2022: Went back for some routine maintenance. Another 5-star review. Just the fact that they actually took the time to properly torque my wheel lug nuts gets a 5 star review. That shows me these guys really care about quality work. No BS, they just take care of the customer in an honest decent way. Thank you again guys and gals!

I came in for a Pre-Purchase Inspection, and was greeted with the kindest, most honest people. They gave great advice, were prompt, and took excellent care of us. I cannot recommend them enough. I will be bringing my services back even though I live all the way out in Arlington.

Had my 2013 Smart Fortwo inspected by them after purchasing it used to ensure there were no major issues. The inspection was thorough and took only 30 minutes. Price was very fair and the car was given a clean bill of health. I will be coming back for the next round of service for sure, great work all!

Excellent. We've used them before for a number of things. They've always been reasonable and they don't tell you to do work that you don't need. They do do a good job on what you do need. Today I just asked tbem to put air in the tire that was low, but they went the extra mile and checked it out. Finding a nail in the tire, the removed it and patched it free of charge.

a week ago The team at Clark's Automotive Repair are friendly and easy to work with. They make you feel as if your a part of their family! I had work done on my Ford Mustang that normally would have cost a great deal at the dealership, but instead the bill was about half of that. Great work, great prices, great people!

After moving to Manassas about 6 months ago, I needed a new mechanic. My car started shaking horribly after my husband changed the battery, so I needed somewhere that was close by. They did not charge me to take a look at it and let me know that sometimes cars do that and that it was fine when they inspected it. In that time I've had 2 oil changes, my inspection, and replaced a part of my muffler. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their prices are incredibly fair, they are very honest, and they don't try to rip you off! I chose them because they had wonderful reviews, and they are all true!!!! As being a woman, I have been afraid of being misled and told I needed work when I don't (it happened at the previous place I went to) and am ecstatic to have found Clark's. I would recommend them to everyone and will continue to give them my business!!! Thank you Clark's Automotive team!!!!

Clark's was hands down the best experience I've had with an auto shop. All their mechanics were extremely professional as well as friendly. The mechanic that helped me, Adam, was fantastic from start to finish. Great service and price.

Quick, efficient, and fantastic service. I walked in without an appointment, and walked out half an hour later. Best experience at an automotive place hands down. Dealerships overcharge and weddle you into doing more than necessary. Clark's however did only what needed to be done, checked liquid levels and wheels, and done. Definitely coming back.

This is one terrific shop. From the moment I arrived till I left with my perfectly repaired car two hours later, service was courteous, efficient and friendly. The young lady at the desk greeted me warmly then I met with my mechanic Adam. I explained the problem and shortly later my car was repaired perfectly for a very decent price. Adam is the BEST!! I trust all of my cars with Clark’s automotive!!

I needed a fuel pressure sensor repair and the dealership gave me the runaround for repair time. I found Clark's through Google and they had great reviews. I can absolutely see why! They were able to get me in same day and fixed in the same day! The staff were kind and courteous and I felt the repair bill was more than fair. They have my business going forward! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

This place is the real deal...professional, quality workmanship. I brought my '14 RAM 1500 to get a 3" lift & level, new tires & a cold-air intake. The crew from the front desk all the way to the back was professional and well prepared to handle this project. Family owned & operated and they take pride in all areas of customer service. Only place to have your ride worked on in the area...don't believe me check out all the positive reviews...they are legit!

Great people, great service, great prices. Do not take your car anywhere else! I had a quote somewhere else that was more than double what they charged me at Clark's. We've (unfortunately, lol) had to use them 3 times in the last 3 months for our 2006 Tahoe, but they have been terrific. And have repaired the car in record time. We won't take our cars anywhere else! Thank you Clark's!
