My experience with them is not as bad as other reviews I have read BUT from my experience, I’ve had nothing but issues with the car I had. When the first issue came about I had to have one of the coils replaced. My car kept misfiring. I took it to them and they tried to say that it wasnt covered in my warranty. I had kept the paper that had details of my warranty and pointed out that it did indeed cover that issue. They told me to bring it back the next day , which I did…. They kept my car alllllll day just to give it back with same issue and told me that their reader didn’t show any codes. Literally sent me back on the road with my car misfiring and jerking. I can say they gave me the coil that had to be switched and was told that they would compensate me for whatever I paid for labor. I took it somewhere else to get fixed and when I brought my receipt back to the dealership to receive a reimbursement for whatever I paid to get it fixed, I was told that they don’t do that. I sat for a good hour while they talked to management in regards to giving me my money back for whatever I paid to get my car fixed. After that experience, I didn’t even take my car back up there whenever I had issues. I e kicked out close to 3k to fix constant issues but I just didn’t want to go through the headache with them. The ladies in the billing department are rudeeeee! Can’t finish a sentence without them cutting you off. Also, do your due diligence before getting a car from them. They will overcharge you. The car I got wasn’t even worth 10,000 but I was paying for well over that. They’re good if you want something quick.
I DON’T RECOMMEND A CAR FROM THESE FOLKS, GOT A CAR FROM THEM IN NOVEMBER, TRUCK KEPT CUTTING OFF, TOOK IT BACK, THEY CLAIM IT WAS AN OIL LEAK THEY COULDNT FIND. OKAY HERE IT IS NOW DECEMBER ON TO TRUCK #2, AIN’T HAD THAT A MONTH BEFORE IT STOPPED CRANKING. PEEDEE AUTO SALES IS SELLING LEMONS, YOU’D THINK THEY WAS THE MOVIE MATILDA OR JANKY PROMOTERS !!!!! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE! (And I will not be taking this post down this time!) I’ve literally had problems with this car since the day I bought it! Like I’ve put at least 4-5K in this car between the transmission, brakes, alternator, AC repair, 4 failed tuneups, fuel pump and now the heater core and thermostat! These ppl will care until your well outside any window they feel they’re obligated to actually help. I have a whole laundry list of complaints so if you have a moment please read. 1. Lied about my car payment arrangements 2. After driving the car off the lot more issues other than the hairline crack in the windshield and bad wipers that they said they would take care of. The wiring in the car was so bad, my charger adapter didn’t work and the sound would go out once the car got above 55 mph and the speaker on the passenger side was out completely. I texted the salesman that night and the next day listing my issues with the car and told him I wanted to be put in something different. He told me that he would talk to his manager which I don’t believe he did because he ended up telling me I should’ve said something when I got the car but they’ll make the repairs on what needed to be fixed. So at that point, I posted a review about my experience thus far and how I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone no matter how desperate they were because they will take advantage! Well that got their attention because when I went back for my salesman to make this list of repairs he told me his manager asked him to speak with me about taking my post down because it reflected negatively on the business. I told him I wanted a different car he told me that was a no go since I’d been in the car for five days at that point. But they would repair everything and even get my speakers fixed. I just had to be patient with them, take the review down and give them a chance to make it right. They told me they would reimburse me for the remotes I brought because they only gave me the one key to start the car with. Which I never got. But to wrap this up this car continues to have problems even now the car isnt drivable and I call when I have issues with the car but they always tell me that because I’ve had the car going on three years this august they can only diagnose it but for a fee. And even still they’ll ask when can I come in to make a payment. Because it doesn’t matter if they sell you a bad car. You sign the line so you’re stuck with it. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE! STAY FAR FAR AWAY!
UPDATE: My account was paid in full as of 08/23/2024. Only because their half of transmission repair they told me they would help cover the cost for was charged back to my account. The transmission went out after me having the car less than nine months. At that time I spoke with someone name CJ or AJ and he told me that what they could do for me was cover half the cost. Not once did he said it would be charged to my account. It wasn't until I asked as to why I still was making payments if the car was paid off that I found out that there was a repair on the account for the transmission. I went up there to speak with the a manager but was only able to speak with the women in billing who weren't any help. I decided to cut my losses and just to pay whatever to finally be done with them. So yea the account is closed, the car is crud, and I've learned my lesson.
They have beautiful cars on their lot. The fact that they are a buy here pay here was the reason that we went to the lot. We picked out a 2011 chevy suburban. Clean car minimal wear and tear for a used vehicle. We went ahead and signed up for the extra warranty. We drove the vehicle from the lot home. To Myrtle Beach. The car seemed to have a little shake . We assumed that it needed a alignment so we put new tires , ball joints , sway bars and got it alligned. We had only put 100 miles on it in the 3 days we had it. Once we drove it we realized that it was something going on with it shifting. Sounded like the car was trying to over shift itself. We took the car to the service provider that the car warranty people provided. It was the transmission. Now after 4 days the transmission is bad . The car warranty company does not want to cover it. Peedee auto had us bring the car back so that they can have someone else to inspect it and decide who is going to pay for it. All while we wait with no car ! To be continued...........
I love Pee Dee Auto Sales I’m actually almost at the end of paying off my 2nd car from them! I think the down payments are a bit high but they deal with a lot of people with funny credit so I assume they try to get as much as possible up front! My experience with paying for my 1st car was a breeze but my 2nd car towards the end I ran into some bumps in the road with life they had a employee Lauren that worked great with me she had great understanding and that really helps but then she left! For the 1st time 2 cars and after spending almost $25,000 with them later I was put up for repo and I had to begin dealing with Mrs. Mary Carrol nothing mattered my history with them meant nothing when I went in to save my car she did all she could to make me pay more money than what I was quoted when I called the week before when she was out! But that isn’t where my biggest problem lay I am not a disrespectful woman especially to people older than myself but she talk to people like they are worthless and they money means nothing she’ll make a suicidal person want to Jill themselves! When I called to question the over charge bc I know what I was told prior by other employees she started yelling at me on the phone and when I would talk she would hit the hold button to keep from hearing me how unprofessional and immature is that? I ended the whole conversation by telling her just to have a blessed day bc it is proven she can’t help herself with her funky attitude some people you just got to give them to God and let him handle them. Life is short she’ll remember and see that and many rude conversations that she’s had with others again before she leave this world! I know she has a job to do but it don’t take being rude to do it some people are already on the verge of breaking when they back are against the wall! Other than her I suggest Pee Dee Auto to anyone dealing with Challenging Credit!
Sometimes peoples actions can change your mind with that being said, I would llike to thank lucky for all his help today and pee Dee auto sale for resolving the problem. Y’all are very appreciated. I Honestly Should Have Gotten My Money Back When I Had Issues After 5-6 Days….That Was The 1st Red Flag, But I Didn’t. (Not Crying Over Spilled Milk.) Car Payments Aren’t An Issue When You’re Being Handled With Care & Riding In Something Reliable…..Unfortunately This Wasn’t The Dealership To Provide That For Me. I Got My Wear Out Of The Vehicle But Not Without Extra & Unnecessary Spending/Fixing. Eh. I Make The Money….*Shrug* If You’re Down On Luck….Give Them A Try Because One Thing (&& The Only Thing) They Will Do Is GET YOU IN A VEHICLE. It Stops There. If You’re Looking For MORE? I went in yesterday to get a truck I really wanted only to be disappointed because of a price I was told by one salesman wasn’t the price that was given by another. I left so upset & heartbroken bcuz I desperately needed a car for work. Nothing seemed to go right yesterday.. I decided not to give up so I went back today with a friend & again was told im sorry I can’t get you in what you want I need a bigger down payment…but then there was Nick!!! He not only showed compassion that he cared…I was able to get the truck I really wanted!! If you ever need a car Nick is the man to see!!
It has been 3 months since I got my vehicle and it still hasn't been fixed. I have been getting the run around about what's wrong with it, parts being ordered and who can fix it. At this point, I just want my money back. The problem had been brought to their attention from the very beginning and it's not being solved like it should and not in a timely manner as promised. I don't have money to waste and I need a vehicle to drive immediately.
Told me one price, I test drove was ready to buy, then when I got back they told me oh I got bad news the price is higher. They said the price on the website was wrong and refused to honor it. Such a disappointment. Will never recommend them to anyone. Very unprofessional.
They sold me a horrible car. It cost more to fix than my down payment. I do not recommend these cars I haven’t had the car 90 days and the motor is already blown. I refuse to fix that. Do not buy a car from these people!
These people really have taken advantage of me I was dumb enough to fall for it twice. I put down $1500 for the 1st car had it 60 days exactly when the engine blew. I tried to negotiate with them to get a replacement but of course I was past the 30 days so they would not fix it. In need of transportation to get to work I gave them $2300 just like a fool only to drive that car for 90 days when the transmission broke on the interstate again they were unwilling to fix it. NEVER AGAIN!

Very disappointed. I only had my car 30 days and something goes wrong it. I had to pay towing charges and they towed it. I'm missing days from work. I never purchase a car and something goes wrong with it this soon..
Didn’t want to negotiate. Really didn’t even want to talk to young people only wanted to talk to a middle aged adult when I’m paying cash for the car. After buying the car we had trouble with them fixing the problem we agreed that would be fixed before we bought it.
Had a great salesman Douglas. Great customer service. Ask for him when you go there. Straight forward will tell you the truth. Not just try to put you in a car you don't want.
While we were there looking at cars an attendant came out to help us. We told him which car we were looking at and he said he would go get the keys for us. After we stood around for almost 20 minutes in the dark and rain he DROVE up to us in his car and said they were closing. Then he drove off and waited by the gate for us to leave, hurring us out. They decided to close their business while there were customers who were actively looking at cars. And not just looking but deciding what to buy!! Needless to say they will never see a cent of our money.
The customer service is good but the quality of car is horrible. My mom purchased a vehicle from there and it gave us problems from the time we drove it off the lot until she got rid of it. It was nice and clean, but was a piece of junk lemon that used to cut off in the middle of the road while driving. It wasn't even worth the $1000 down payment!!!
I had $80 dollars cash one of the staff members stole from my vehicle. The cashiers lied about it. Nobody replaced my cash or offered an apology or anything. Sorry and shady business.It was the principle to steal from paying customers.I'm never doing business with them again. I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND ANYONE SHOP HERE. BEWARE OF PEE DEE AUTO SALES.
