The owner and employees are great people, with great attitudes and attention to customer satisfaction, prices are fair, and selection is above average, with many ipa and craft beer options, and do their best to keep stocked up on the good ones. Highly suggest giving them your business.
Great place to find a variety of beer and craft brews you can't find at the typical grocery store. Very friendly staff. Also a great place to drop off cans and bottles, they sort them and pay you way quicker than you could ever accomplish at the self service returns.
Deceitful practices. They shorted me 135 cans. 135! Then claimed that even though some of the cans are redeemable in NY, the person that picks them up won't take them. Then they took them anyways (without paying)! I wish I could give negative stars for the terrible treatment and theft.

The barefoot containers you mentioned were no more than 4, not 100. I don't remember if I paid deposits on those or not, but will gladly take a loss on that and assume it was my fault. I paid deposits on the kombuchas. As for purchasing out of NY, I have not purchased a beverage outside of NY in about 10+ years. All of the returns were purchased within the past year in Johnson City and Vestal. I did not realize I should return them to the store where they were purchased. I assumed that since it was called a redemption center, that implied I could bring the containers there, regardless of what local store I purchased them from. I can make that change in the future.
I do appreciate the information, and I apologize for any ignorance or mistakes on my part. In no way would I want to short you or put you/ your business in a bad position. Considering numerous people were helped while my returns were being looked at/ counted (and I didn't see notes being taken every time there was a distraction), I would assume that leaves room for error. Also, none of those people were questioned. They came in, gave their total, got paid and left. I understand the need to look through mine after a couple non- returns were found, and I again apologize for my oversight, but I respectfully disagree with "how" this was handled and with the outcome.
I went in the other day with 15 maybe 18 bags bottles and cans and the girl waited on me and I thought I had more money than what was not expecting $37 out of all the cans and bottles I took back
Great place for recycling.
But what got me is if I’m waiting 15 min eating an ice cream cup thats clearly a recyclable plastic cup that can go in recycling bin.
Why complain? Lol ? atleast put a garbage bin out front near the door.
The guy who wait on me was polite but he couldn't help because he was busy so the girl end up helping me but very disrespectful and gave me an attitude she even act like she's better than me would definitely not go here again if she's there
Not sure why the previous person gave a 1 star review for a place that closes at 6pm so if you go AT 615 you obv can't be let in. Never had a bad experience here and have had nothing but helpful service especially from the helpful young man named Scott. Will continue to go here the can redemption center part has always offered help and been very kind
What an awesome spot. Redemption center was prompt and friendly and the beverage center next door has a selection of all types of local and seasonal beers. I've been looking for a fast and reliable can & bottle center and this is the best that I've found in the area!
I have been saving my cans and bottles for several months. I took them all to Vestal Beverage today for redemption. It was nearly $50 worth and they processed it extremely quickly.
I will no longer use the machines that accept one item at a time. Vestal Beverage will receive all of my return business going forward.
The staff was very skillful, efficient and pleasant to interact with.
This place is fantastic gives a great price for the cans and the workers are quick. Wish I knew the young fella name who did our six bags of bottles in under three mintues. Cause he did an amazing job .
This place will now be the place I go to return my bottle from now on
An honest hardworking friendly local business that has the customer as the focus. I brought in quite a few bags of bottles to which they had told me that they can count them later and give me a call when the order was ready for the money pick up. I couldn't return the same day I dropped them off and Joe gave me a call and told me I could come in the next day to get the envelope with the redemption money inside it, told me the amount of bottles they counted from my order and the amount that it totaled to in dollars and cents. They are even open on Sunday's when many others are not. This is my go to business for sure!
Nice people in there just make sure that they are all 5 cent deposit can or bottles your you won't get 6 cents per can or bottle.i am not complaining just letting people know their policies
Great prices, super friendly and knowledgable staff, and great walk in cooler. Also have the 6 cent redemption center where you drop off your cans and the employees count them for you. Dont have to spend all day putting them into a machine like in the grocery store. Best place going when it comes to a full service beverage center.

I stop here all the time. Decent selection of craft beer along with all the normal stuff you can find anywhere else. The staff are all awesome people and can give solid recommendations based on that you want to try if you're in the mood to try something new.
There's also something to be said for spending your money at a local business. Saves me a trip to Sam's over in Binghamton as well.
Earlier today my wife returned our bottles and cans at the redemption center for the first time. When she came home she lit up and told me all about her fantastic experience. The employee, a young man named Trevor, was very friendly to her. When you go there and Trevor isn't there, I hope you get the same fantastic experience. For a car load of cans and bottles she got 60 plus dollars. We calculated that we had 1000 plus bottles and cans. Oh did I mention that Trevor had them all counted and paid my wife out within 10 minutes. That seemed pretty fast to me. My wife was so shocked and so happy for the service she left the young man a generous tip and we will make sure we will give the redemption center business again.
A friendly, fun place to buy your beer with a good micro-brew selection and great prices. They have all your domestic beers covered as well, and they carry kegs if you need *lots* of beer. :)
The Redemption Center is conveniently right next door to the beer store so you can spend your return cash on *even more beer.* :D
Oh-- they have hard ciders and stuff too. I don't drink that stuff though.
Returning bottles and cans?! 6 cents sounds great right? Of course but doesn't help when you're getting ripped off. My father has taken cans and bottles to recycle and both times, they either counted wrong or blatantly ripped him off. Definitely not happy my disabled father was taken advantage of. Honesty no longer exists. .
Great beer selection. Dozens upon dozens of craft brews, with a staff that can help you find just the right beer. This has become the only place I buy beer any more.
