Liam and Joe were amazing. I felt heard, seen, and valued as a first time costumer. They were honest and upfront with me. I got a higher trade price here than where I perviously purchased my vehicle. Plus my payments were exactly where I wanted them with the extended warranty included! I will definitely be returning. Thank you for an amazing experience!

I wish I caught the gentleman's name, but he noticed I had a baby with me. Instead of the original 1 1/2 estimated wait time, he got the service done in less than 30 minutes so I didn't have to wait with my baby. Thank you!!

I can say i have purchased 3 Kia's from Matthews Kia Vestal this year in 2025 , a 2025 Kia Soul , 2025 Kia K4 LXS , 2025 K4 GT Line ,each time was a pleasure , I delt with Rich French twice on the K4's it was a exceptional experience both times , no pressure , helped in every way possible , need to purchase a new or used car ask for Rich French , also delt with Max on the Kia Soul , same excellent service , the general manager Mike Gottlieb answered any and all questions I had with Honesty no games , i give them all a 1000% Rating Also Joe in finance did a Excellent job getting me the best rate possible . I want to give a real and sincere thank you to the team at Matthews Kia Vestal, especially the General Manager and Service Manager. I recently went through a very stressful situation where my EV6 ended up non-drivable due to a warranty-related issue. I was effectively stranded with no way to get to my vehicle or to the loaner that was already set aside for me. It was one of those situations where you feel completely stuck and unsure how you’re going to get back to your normal life. The GM and Service Manager stepped in personally, listened to what was happening, and took ownership of the situation. They didn’t make excuses, they didn’t pass me around, and they didn’t leave me waiting endlessly. They got directly involved — communicating with the right people, coordinating transportation, and making sure I had access to a vehicle again as soon as possible. They handled everything professionally, calmly, and with actual care for what I was dealing with. They kept in contact, followed through on what they said, and made sure things happened same day so I wasn’t stuck any longer. Any dealership can do business when things are easy. What really matters is how a dealership responds when something goes wrong — and this team showed integrity, empathy, and real leadership. Gotta give a huge shout out to Dom and Joe for making this deal come together so smoothly. Couldn’t have asked for a better team! Really appreciate you guys for making a dream come true for my mom! I recommend the Matthews auto group ten time over, planet pre owned, import center etc. Absolutely phenomenal company. Amazing teams! Transparent company all around that truly care and have your best interest at heart. Love everyone I’ve ever worked with at these locations!! Joe was extremely thorough with making sure we knew exactly what was in our deal and that we were comfortable with what we were getting and Dom was amazing communicating every step of the way, even accommodating last minute requests. Truly grateful!

I have previously written a negative review, but revised it after Kia made it right. This time, however, I'm not sure that they can. I have been driving a long time and have never gotten so much resistance or refusal to rotate my tires. I have had my car 2 years and they've rotated my tires one time (with the exception of this most recent visit in which this review is about). Everytime I bring my vehicle in, I tell them to rotate my tires and they don't saying it doesn't need it. That's absurd. Everywhere else I've gone throughout all my years, rotates the tires along with the oil change when I tell them to do it. This dealership has lied to me twice and I've caught them both times! The first time, I asked them to rotate my tires and check the back tire b/c it was losing air. They told me everything was completed (they also had on my receipt that the tire rotation was done) and that the tire was fine. The very next day, I found that that same tire was flat and was still on the back driver side. The tires HAD NOT been rotated. When I called, I was told they weren't rotated and that they made a mistake. On Monday November 3rd, I dropped my car off in the afternoon so they would have the next full day to do all they needed to-tire rotation included. I went over with the guy that they were to absolutely rotate my tires. He said that they definitely would. Well--when I picked the car up, sure enough, my tires were not rotated b/c I had marked a tire previously b/c I don't trust them. That marked tire was still on the back driver side. I went back in. While it's true they then rotated them, I had to sit another 15 minutes to wait. I was told they've had problems with this tech before, but I explained that it seems I always have problems and I don't want to bring my car there anymore. This actually makes me wonder if any of the work is being completed! And to make matters worse-as far as I'm concerned, they were committing fraud. As I said, I have a service plan and get 6 free tire rotations. On my receipt, they marked that off as one used--when in fact, they had NOT rotated the tires! So had I not marked the tire, I would've thought the service had been completed and one of my free services would've been used up when in fact, it hadn't! I am so frustrated with this place. Everyone should take caution bringing their vehicle here for service!

Amazing dealership for Kia service. Had just purchased a used Kia EV from a ford dealer, and after my initial service visit at Matthew's, a major mechanical issue was found requiring roughly $13,000 worth of repairs. Of course the car was just over the 60k mile warranty, but Tyler at the service desk was amazing, and worked with his management to get the required parts covered under warranty. And on top of that they set me up with their loaner program, free of charge, until my car is ready. Can't thank them enough, and will certainly be back!

Very pleased with my experience purchasing my Kia Seltos with Liam Wagner! This car was a significant transition from my Honda Civic. Liam explained the vehicle well and seemed to genuinely care that my husband and I liked it. Financial options were also explained well and we were made to feel comfortable with the transaction. I hope not to need a new car for a long time but when that time comes I will definitely return to Matthews Kia and request Liam.

I can not say enough about how positive an experience that I received with Rich French and the rest of the team at Matthew Kia in Vestal. From the moment I walked in the door, my husband and I knew exactly what features or functionalities we needed our next vehicle to have. Rich took what we said and made sure that any vehicle we had met those needs. He never tried to talk us into another vehicle or convince us that we needed something new. He worked hard with his team to make sure we had a positive experience from start to finish. They listened to us and went above and beyond to make things work for us. I have bought several vehicles over the last decade and I can say that I have never had as great of an experience as I did with Rich and his team and I can assure you that he is who I will be returning to for future sales as well!

It's been 4 months since I purchased my Kia Soul here. Today I took it in for routine service, and I have to say that it was the best service experience I've ever had. The VIP treatment continues even after you've bought your vehicle, with cozy easy chairs and free drinks on tap in a clean, comfortable, WARM waiting area, and the knowledgeable, courteous staff. I was there for around an hour but it really didn't seem that long. Fantastic, I very much appreciated that, my props to your incredible staff!

Liam, our sales associate, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, patient, and honest when answering our questions. If he didn’t know something, he was upfront and sought out the right information. It’s clear he cares about his work and customers, which we truly appreciated. However, there were some frustrations with the dealership itself. They initially low-balled our trade-in at $24,000, despite their own website valuing it at $28,000. After some back and forth, they matched a competitor’s offer at $25,570, but the sales manager’s explanation of their valuation process didn’t sit well with us. Additionally, the experience with the military rebate was disappointing. I submitted my military LES with financial details redacted for privacy, but the dealership stated that corporate would not accept any modified documents, even when all necessary identifying information was visible. The general manager was indifferent and unwilling to offer any alternative solutions. While Liam provided excellent service, the dealership's policies and approach to customer concerns left much to be desired. If you work with them, I recommend being firm on your trade-in value and prepared for strict policies regarding documentation.

So while I didn't buy a car from this dealer, I test drove from it and it was an amazingly good experience. Everyone was very friendly, and I can safely say that compared to the Kia dealership I did buy from, this was a nicer, more open, and friendly experience. Mike was a great help and honestly, next time I buy I feel it won't be worth hunting for savings when there might be hidden fees. At Matthews Kia, they are very up front about all fees and compared to a place I had to haggle and deal with hidden fees, this would've been a much less stressful buying experience.

My wife had her Kia repaired at Matthew's the other week. The repair job itself was a 5 star job. However the way they handled the loaner vehicle they gave her deserves zero stars. I can't believe that any self respecting business would let a customer drive out their door in such a disgusting vehicle. The vehicle reeked of cigarette smoke, which they tried to mask by clipping air fresheners to 4 of the 5 front air vents. Every square inch of the inside of the vehicle was sticky and filthy. It looked like someone shook up a soda bottle, sprayed it all over the car, then drove down a dirt road with the windows down. The carpets were disgusting. There were candy wrappers and half empty soda bottles in the car. It had a flat when she picked it up, and their solution was to just add air (instead of looking.for a leak). Needless to say it went flat the whole time we had it (over the holiday break). The AWD failed and the check engine light came on. Those are just the items I can think of off the top of my head. They pled ignorance to the state of the vehicle, and were a little rude to her at the end of the transaction (they probably were tired of us calling for updates about her car and trying to swap into a reasonable loaner car). Would never dream of coming back to Matthews for service or to purchase a vehicle.
