This dealership is horrible. I was sold a used Tuscon 2014 with less than 65k miles. I was forced to buy a $2500.00 extended warranty to close my deal. Within 60 days of purchase the engine in this vehicle blew up. There was zero oil when I checked the dipstick. No check oil or check engine light ever came on. I brought the Tucson back to the dealership, were they kept said Tuscon for over 6 months. I was never connected by the service department unless I called them. They did a shitty job making repairs. The vehicle had been broken into and possibly stolen while at the dealership. I guess I m going to have to sue this place to get my money back. Sincerely Thomas Main

My daughter had her car brought into the service station a month ago with a blown engine where it still sits. They were able to get her a new motor covered under warranty but she has a job an 4 kids and that’s her only vehicle so she had to get a rental which unfortunately is not covered. Every time she called to find out how much longer it was going to take she would be told just a couple more days. This went on for weeks. Then finally the motor was in and ready for the test drive and bam that motor is no good have to get another one. My daughter doesn’t have the money to keep paying for a rental car and take care of her kids but has know choose she’s on her own.Her nerves are shot she’s trying to keep a smile on her face well crying inside and there’s nothing I can do for her but they can. I’m begging you get this job done and give my daughter a deal on the rental car. Have some humanity….

BUYERS BEWARE: Matthews has a lot to improve upon. Firstly, both times I have made an appointment to test drive a vehicle I have been double booked. They would be wise to develop a more organized system with their appointments and value potential client’s time. My next grievance is their so called “One Price.” They will tell you this price is competitive and their lowest price possible. There is a strict no negotiation policy per the sales staff. Anyone who does an inkling of research even within a 100 mile radius will see this is likely to be false. Now this would not be an issue if they offered to price match, but apparently this is also against their policy. It’s clear that Matthews relies heavily on the uninformed buyer to better their profits. Car buying is a stressful experience as is, and the time I’ve spent dealing with Matthews furthers my lack of trust in car dealerships. Lastly, if you want to give them a chance to price match, you might wind up with an unprofessional passive aggressive email in response from your sales person. You’re better off looking elsewhere for a dedicated, organized experience with buying a vehicle.

While I did not ultimately end up purchasing a vehicle here, I was treated with remarkable respect. My Sales Consultant was Rich French. He was kind, patient, transparent, and highly considerate of my investment. My search for a vehicle continues, so I will be considering Matthew’s and Rich in the future. I recently needed to use their services center Roger reached out the following morning and was happy to assist and get me in sooner. I had a 2020 Toyota RAV4 that I was no longer in a finical position to keep making payments for. Matthews Auto was a true life saver! Gary made the entire process from start to finish smooth and easy. I am now free and clear from the debt I was set back in with the vehicle due to the help of Gary and his team at Matthews. I will be forever grateful for what they did for myself and family. Matthews Auto is by far the best Cadillac dealer anywhere. Their customer service goes above and beyond. They make you feel respected from the first interaction browsing, all the way to purchase. Naidira is a professional who cares for her clients and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of specific cars and processes. I have been to other dealerships who should take a lesson from Matthews Auto. They should be commended for their customer service.

I recently purchased a vehicle from plant preowned. Mykel was my sales consultant and he was fantastic!! Very friendly and knowledgeable, he kept in constant communication throughout the buying process and even added a bow to the car at pick up! I highly recommend him for anyone looking for a new or used vehicle

This is my second vehicle I have purchased with Matthews and every time it just gets better and better! Lew Russo does an excellent job of making sure your are fully informed on your purchase and truly cares about your experience and satisfaction! He was even willing to cross-sell away from his home store to sell me a certified pre-owned Jeep Cherokee. I couldn't be happier and got exactly what I was looking for in a vehicle! Thanks again Lew and shout out to Matt Arnold for helping me with everything during my delivery :)

First, I waited well over an hour and a half for an oil change and tire rotation which I had an appointment. Then, I received a $20 gift certificate for being with Matthews for a year. When I went to check out I was not allowed to use that money. I was then told, they “allowed me rewards” which were much greater than the certificate. Meanwhile the “rewards” were always/ have always been included so it was no new savings. Why send me something I am unable to use! Very deceiving! The gentleman I tried to ask was very rude and unaccommodating. Very disappointing for a well known dealership.

We took our 2021 jeep compass in for service at 8am . Check in was extremely nice. Picked the car back up at 4pm. Check out was extremely nice. Get everything done walk out to the car and realize there's a problem. With the oil . I got them involved and they got it taken care of within 20 minutes. Even with me fipping out they kept there cool.

If you are considering purchasing a car in the vestal area, DO NOT buy from Matthew’s on the parkway in Vestal NY. Absolute worst dealership I have ever encountered, and I can guarantee you will drive off with car issue. Please, please, please do not buy a car from Matthew’s Auto They sent me and my wife home in a car that needed fixing, and they knew it. We went back, they had us wait 8 hours for a call back just to say the issue wasn’t an actual issue. We were back again in a couple days with ANOTHER check engine light for the same problem that they didn’t fix (shocker). Another 8 hour day wasted, while they forced us to pay for a rental we never wanted or should have had. And finally their driver, whom i’ve never met in my life, brought me to the car rental place, and told me to go inside to pickup the keys to our rental and LEAVE MY 7 MONTH OLD DAUGHTER ALONE WITH HIM! Absolutely inappropriate and unprofessional behavior from all staff from the sales to the service department. I have no idea why he’d offer time alone with my baby, but that’s just how they’re trained over there. One final time, please never buy a car from these scam artists.

I've never had an experience as amazing and seamless as I did with Matthews Auto. Specifically Volkswagen and Chris Skinner. I'm from Canada and I was driving through New York on my way to Tennessee when my check engine came on in my VW ( along with other lights ) I did a quick google search to find the closest Volkswagen Dealer to me and called them and Chris told me I could come in and have my car checked out. I waited in the waiting room where they offer complimentary coffee, water and popcorn. All of the staff passing by the waiting area were extremely friendly and helpful. Chris had my car checked out fairly quickly and we found out that it was going to take time and parts to fix. I gave Chris the information for my warranty company and he did everything else from there, including organizing my rental car. I was stuck in Binghamton that night due to a rental car shortage and staff recommended places to stay and eat. They drove me to my hotel, and picked me up in the morning to bring me back to the dealership and wait for a rental. When the rental was available there wasn't a driver available to take me so Chris himself took me to get it. While I was in Tennessee they found additional issues with my car and Chris contacted me to basically just get the go ahead to fix it because he'd already done all of the investigative work to make sure it was covered under warranty. I was able to spend additional time with family while I waited for the repairs. When the car was ready getting it back was also seamless. Chris came into VW on a Saturday to ensure everything was smooth for me. I transferred my things from the rental to my car and drove home. They dealt with all of the paperwork and getting my rental back. My car works better and sounds 100% better than it did before. I am so grateful for Chris, Matthews auto, their other employees and all of the people along the way. This place truly turned my nightmare into a great experience. I would seriously consider driving to Vestal, NY to buy my next VW because of my experience here. Thank You for EVERYTHING !! Amanda from Canada

I had such a wonderful experience with my purchase through Matthews. The gentleman who assisted me, Adam, truly went above and beyond to help me as much as he did. Buying a new vehicle can be such a difficult and tedious task, and I'm so grateful that I had Adam to guide me through the process. As well, the other employees at the dealership were helpful, kind, and quite tolerant of a toddler running around. Trustworthy, dependable, excellent service!!!

I spent several hours today with members of the Matthews team and have to say that it was the best car shopping experience I have ever had. Dalton, Cole, & Brad were amazing. They bent over backwards to make sure I left happy. Going in today I never expected to leave with a great car, but they made that happen for me. It was my pleasure to work with the entire team today.

Horrible experience all around with Matthews Kia, both in Vestle, and in Clay. Was sent a email stating the price of a vehicle only to find out later after I had them save the vehicle for me that they changed the price and they wouldn’t honor the price that they sent to me. Then I completed their online trade-in evaluation and sent him pictures of my vehicle and received an estimate on my trade-in value. I was assured that the trade and quote I received, would be in the ballpark of what they would be offering me… only to be offered almost $7000 less when I arrived at the dealership. And then the sales person tried tacking on a $2500 reconditioning fee onto my bill to make me pay for cosmetic issues with the vehicle… these guys are total con artist don’t trust them!!!

I needed a new car quick as I totaled mine. We contacted Matthews Chevy and spoke to Badr. He was amazing he knew everything about the car we were interested in and went above and beyond to get us into it with the payment we wanted. I would highly recommend going to see him you won’t be disappointed.

We have been going here for two years now for all our services and repairs on our vehicles. While the prices are a little high, we get exceptional service from Jenn in the service center. She does an awesome job informing you of your vehicle's needs and goes the extra effort to get it in as soon as possible.

I have been going through a lot for these past few days. I was scheduled for an appointment yesterday, but I had to get my car towed to their shop and it wouldn’t have gotten there until after my appointment time. My car was still full serviced. The team worked on my vehicle up to the last few minutes they were suppose to leave. Matt was AWESOME. Very kind and overall just cheerful. Just him being who he is made what I’m going through less stressful. Thank you all at Matthews shop for your help and and support yesterday.

I was just there today, 10/4/22, for service on my VW Beetle - airbag recall. The ease of scheduling the appointment, to getting my car in and out in less time than expected, along with the courtesy provided by everyone I came into contacted with was TOP NOTCH! When I brought it in, I forgot to ask them if they could put air in one of my tires. When the car was ready, they had done that, too, without me even asking them! My son asked me how my appointment went and I replied, "Their Service Department is IMPECCABLE!" Now, because of how well I was treated, I'll schedule my servicing with them from now on! Five stars!!

I was passing through the area on my way to Canada when I had an issue with my heat shield while on the highway. Due to a recent snowstorm most of the towns along I-81 were without power. I was able to find the service center information on my phone and came in without an appointment. The staff including Service advisor Brian, was very courteous, took my vehicle in right away, fixed the problem and had me on my way in ~30 min. Appreciate their kindness, clearly explaining the problem (took me in the shop to show me) and getting it taken care of quickly. Great service, clean shop, open and large waiting area.

Matthews Auto Collision let me drive my car off their lot in unsafe condition. I would never recommend their service to anyone I care about. Their service led to further damage to my vehicle. The auto shop didn’t fully inspect my car after my accident. They also failed to test drive my car after having it in their auto shop for over a month. I was horrified by the customer service I received. Joe Pickard, who is the service manager at Matthews Auto Collision, was extremely rude and admitted to me that they failed to test drive and fully inspect my car. If this horrible service is not fixed by them, the next step will be them speaking with my lawyer.

I just leased my second vehicle from Matthews. The salesman Tim Cseledy met with us a few times when we were getting ready to end our first lease. No pressure. He asked what we were looking for and gave us exactly that, when we were ready. We’ve been dealing with them for over 3 years and are very satisfied with their service of our vehicle to the sales process. No wonder they dominate the Binghamton dealerships.

We had to buy a car on the drop of the dime, due to certain circumstances. We went on a Friday night, Ray helped us. We went back on Saturday morning to follow up and Ray had the day off and directed us to Jeremy. Jeremy took over for Ray and treated us as his own customer and really helped us out. We chose a car and Tom the finance manager helped us get into this beautiful car. But before signing 10 days later Ray and his team made sure that we had transportation and the car was completely road ready. Thanks Ray, Jeremy, Tom, and The Matthews Planet Team!
