A simple answer to this question would be our salesperson Adam's approach!! The following is why. We are Sunday car shoppers, preferring to look w/o the presence of sales associates. Adam was the perfect fit for us. He is kind & considerate. He is knowledgeable & an attentive listener. He did exactly what he'd agreed to do when we spoke w/him on the phone! He presented vehicles for us to test drive that had peeked our interest interest while we were visiting many car lots, in PA & NY. We were buying according to our wants & needs & purse strings. He met our goals w/every feature we'd requested during our phone conversation. No wasted time & no pressure. We chose a 2025 Nissan Pathfinder that day. Our purchase date was Oct. 31st. Today is Nov. 29th and, we have put two thousand one hundred & 13 miles on it so far. It's a smooth ride & we are very happy with it! Patty & Joe M.

This place is a POS to say the least. They screwed me from day one with my registration. I literally had to fight for 3 months to get an accurate registration and a refund for the almost $600 overage they charged me for my registration. And not even a week after I bought the car my car broke down. Now 6 months later my car is again having issues. My car has been in and out of service more times than I can count since May when I purchased it. I don’t know how they’re still in business. I will eventually get out of this car but if you’re planning on purchasing from them do your research, The whole company doesn’t give two craps about it’s customers. Save your money and more importantly the headache and go somewhere else.

I took my car for service, oil change, and the technician noticed some scratches on my rear fender and the ManagerJim took it upon himself to clean the area up. He buffed out the marks and my car looks 99% better. They did this without any hesitation. Very grateful for this service. Highly recommend this place for all your car needs

Mykel was fantastic! I wen't in not really sure if i was going to be approved but Mykel made the process so easy and did his very best and i brought home my beautiful 2023 Kia Soul!! Definitely recommend him if you're in the market for a car. He's very kind and determined and welcoming. I couldn't be happier with my experience!

My son and I were traveling on a Saturday morning from Rhode Island to Upstate New York to visit a college when about 4.5 hours into a 6.5 hour trip our Passat just cut out on us on the highway. We call a tow truck and find a close Volkswagen dealer to bring the car. I called ahead and they said they were busy but could certainly pull the codes to find out what was happening. Upon arrival they immediately put a tech on it and he rapidly diagnosed a faulty alternator. I went into the service counter to decide what to do with the car and it turns out it was lucky for me that the Service Manager was in on his day off to take care of a few things. He immediately hatched a plan to get the alternator in house quickly and asked a tech to stay late to get us back on the road. Wow what great luck, but it turns out it was too good to be true, the alternator was not available locally, but they could get it by Monday. The service manager came up with another great plan to get us going. We leave the car for service and we get an enterprise rental car to get going and he will arrange for our car to be delivered to us in Rhode Island for a nominal fee. He calls Enterprise to get us a car (they close in 20 minutes) and then drives us to the rental place in his own car, waits for us to obtain the car before leaving, shakes our hand and we are back on the road. The car was repaired for less than the quoted price and is on its way back to me now. I cannot say enough good things about the service department at Matthews on the Parkway in Vestal, NY. You may not need what I did, but they will certainly bend over backwards to help you.

I have bought sooo many cars here and always have a great experience. My usual sales person is in a different position but I worked with Ariel this time and he was so nice and got me a great deal putting me in my literal dream car!! I am sooo soo happy with this purchase!!! The service center lately has also been pretty stellar which helps!

The car buying itself was a great experience, Mykel was amazing. However, as a first time car buyer they do not explain a lot to you re: service deals and how to get your car serviced through them. Getting in to do so is nearly impossible, and the service staff tend to be VERY snippy and rude. The first time my new car started starting really hard and acting up, I called as soon as I was out of work (just over half an hour until this office closed) and the girl who answered put me through to the GM service center. When I (confused as all heck) mentioned to the gentleman that I have a Hyundai, he goes "oh shoot yea you have to go through one of the centers that deals with foreign. You called the parkway right? Well they kind of close soon so, not that this is OK, but they probably put you through to whoever to get off the phone since it's near the end of the day". Yea thats absolutely not ok. Especially HALF AN HOUR before close?? That was mind-blowing and I decided to just go without getting it looked at. This time, im going to be doing a lot of driving over the weekend and I wanted an oil change and alignment/tires checked out, so i called to make a service appointment. The gentleman on the phone audibly groaned and sighed at me all annoyed because I said "my first service appointment" and tried to also bring up the hard starts, he kept arguing semantics with me (basically, "🙄 well you said FIRST SERVICE which is an oil change and tire balance, not checking out issues, how do you not know this??"..... Possibly because no one broke it down for me and you guys would rather argue and have a "gotcha stupid customer" moment than educate people on the structures of your service centers. This man literally acted like he could not understand what i could possibly be asking for because i apparently misused the term "first service") told me if I was gonna get my oil changed at valvoline I might as well just do it all there because without charging "quite a bit extra" the service center WOULD NOT examine the cause of hard starts or any mechanical issues i was having at all. That's a literally insane policy but ok. My confidence is slowly diminishing in this company. Im terrified of the little problems that have sprung up with my car becoming BIGGGG problems and it seems like it will be impossible to make any use out of the warranty im paying almost 100 extra for a month Oh also!! I was sold a car at 15.6k miles, when trying to schedule online today I discovered it never received any of the 15k maintenance before I bought it. I should've been informed about that, and am now 3k miles overdue for maintenance that should've been done when I purchased the car. Why would a DEALERSHIP sell a car without the recommended maintenance being performed at a baseline? Im thoroughly annoyed and anxious. I should not worry every time I leave in a car ive owned for THREE MONTHS, and it should not be this hard to get help from dealership staff. It's literally ridiculous, and I feel, manufactured to guarantee that cars break on people and they spend a wicked amount of money to fix them.

I’m a First time car buyer had zero clue what I was doing. While looking at the Mitsubishi outlanders at Matthews on vestal parkway a sales consultant named Ariel came out to assist. He was not pushy at all, made me very comfortable and has helped me every step of the way. He wanted to make sure that I am making the best decision on the type of vehicle I will be purchasing. He has very great communication skills and helping me understand the paperwork process. I very much appreciate his work ethic. I recently purchased not one, but two vehicles from Matthews on the Parkway. The first vehicle was a good car, but I quickly realized it just wasn’t the right fit for me. Thanks to their 777 program, I was able to exchange it with ease and within days found a vehicle that suited me much better. Deion was fantastic to work with; professional, attentive, and made the whole process effortless! Returning the first vehicle and getting into the second couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Everyone at Matthews was welcoming and accommodating, which made the experience stress-free from start to finish. If you’re in the market for a vehicle, I highly recommend Matthews on the Parkway. Even though I didn't end up purchasing a vehicle, I have to give major credit where it's due— Ariel Almonte was hands down one of the best sales professionals I've ever dealt with. From the moment I stepped onto the lot, he was friendly, patient, and genuinely interested in helping me find the right fit, not just pushing a sale. What stood out most was their honesty and transparency. They took the time to answer all my questions (and there were a lot), offered insights without any pressure, and gave me the space to think things through. It's rare to feel like someone has your best interests in mind during a big decision like this—but that's exactly how Ariel made me feel. While the car just wasn’t the right one for me at this time, I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m ready—and I’ll be asking for Ariel by name. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, professional, and genuinely kind person to guide you through the car buying process, do yourself a favor and talk to Ariel. They made what could have been a stressful experience feel easy and positive. The only downside to my experience was dealing with the sales manager. The truck I looked at had visible rust, including on the spare tire. When I asked if the spare could be replaced or if there was room to adjust the price given the condition, the sales manager declined both requests. Ultimately, I found the same model with 20,000 fewer miles, no rust, and a better deal at another dealership. While Ariel was great to work with, the sales manager came across as dismissive and unsympathetic, especially toward customers working to rebuild their credit and lives. Highly recommend!

Absolutely great service. They worked hard to get me a really low car payment on fairly new car filled with perks. They worked fast to get me approved. I buy used cars under 40k miles and exchange them before I get to 40 k miles. So they got me a used car under 20k miles and I just sold it to ford before 40k miles. I don’t recommend the ford in vestal, ny. I should of sold and exchanged again at planet preowned.
