These people are amazing and really helpful! They helped me change my spare tire in the snow storm today free of charge! Very kind mechanics and front desk worker. Absolutely would recommend going to them. They’ve helped me in the past too with mounting a tire. Very helpful and friendly!!
My girlfriends car wouldn't start unexpectedly after an oil change. So we reluctantly tow it to Big E. They charged her $780 for a new starter and battery. We obviously declined and opted to tow it elsewhere which happened to be "BC Automotive".
At BC they said it didn't need a starter. They changed the battery and she drove off saving almost $500 minus paying for towing twice.
I also bought a brand new starter just incase for $90 when they were charging $300 for it.

I had an unexpected flat tyre over the weekend 2 weeks ago, and I am a local physician and was working, so was hunting a tyre shop which could help fix my issue ASAP, but 2 other places couldnt help me until the next week. The folks at Big E made place for me despite their full schedule and fixed my issue within 15 minutes, and for free! I am truly grateful to their kind service. They went above and beyond for me.
Mike and his staff made sure my needs were addressed with my vehicle. They listened to my concerns and problem solved until the issue was resolved. Mike and his staff were very pleasant, helpful and informative. I would recommend them to friends, family and anyone who is looking for fair prices and great, reliable service.

Will never go back to Big E again. Went for an oil change and the salesman working the desk said my breaks were shot and I needed tires. Both brakes and tires are fine and had 3 other people confirm brakes and tires not needed. Typical mechanic trying to upsell stuff not needed. When I picked up the car the actual mechanic who worked on it even said I didn’t need brakes. Your own coworker called you a liar.
Had a tire valve stem fail on my camper coming down from Maine, stopped here to drop it off for repair before heading back home (I wasn't in a hurry and I could see they were very busy). As I was rolling the tire into the shop a mechanic grabbed it and said he'd have it fixed in just a few minutes (he did). Best customer experience I have had in many, many years, these are good people with enthusiasm and great attitudes, a true rarity.

Today I had a flat tire about a .5 mile from the Vestal shop. I called unfortunately after closing, however the manager was still there waiting for a customer pick up. He and a mechanic after hours came and took care of the issue by repairing the tire on the spot ! I can’t thank these guys enough for caring and not leaving me stranded with a useless lug wrench that came with my car. I will continue to be a customer of theirs and greatly appreciate all that they do. You won’t find a better group to take care of your car maintenance needs.
I want to express my appreciation and gratitude to all who work at Big E Tire in Vestal. Especially Mike who handled diagnosing and giving an estimate on my car and billing. He was very professional, yet personable as well as knowledgeable and straight forward about the condition of my vehicle. He was also extremely compassionate and sensitive toward my difficult circumstances financially and just life trials I was currently going through. not only did Talon and his AMAZING team get me up and going in one day, something else went wrong (my car’s fault NOT theirs) and instead of telling me to come back the following day talon and his team stayed AN HOUR after closing to make sure i was all set and didn’t have to worry about anything. i will always recommend everyone here. great people, great service.

When another business failed to keep the appointment time they confirmed with me, said they couldn't get me in for another 6 hours, couldnt even bother to show a little compassion or empathy about the inconvenience, I called Big E tire and they told me to come right in. When I arrived my car was in the shop in the next 10 minutes. Staff was very friendly and helpful. They explained the options in good detail and had me back on the road with in the hour. Dan's Big E = most reliable in town. I tried other places driven by people, they were cheaper at first to get your trust and either later overcharge or underperform ending with you spending more. When Dan's big E tell you pay for sth, you pay it and you pay with confidence (the moral of the long story of me and my Hyundai Sonata's brake line, EVAP, tires, brake disks...). And people: Keeping your vehicle is like taking care of your teeth, the cheapest way is to go to the dentist as early as possible.
Outstanding service. Excellent communication. Delivery on time. They even handled the sticker for my car's registration. Lastly, the price is reasonable. If only the rest of the business world did business in that manner
Hit a pothole and wrecked a run flat tire on our last night of a 10 day road trip.
The guys at Big E were able to find my exact make and model tire, in a non standard size (thanks BMW) with ease and on a Saturday no less!!
They had the tire waiting when I towed it to the shop and, like NASCAR, had it changed lightning fast so we could finish our road trip and get back home. Thanks guys!

The shop was willing to take payment over the phone from out of state. Whoever they worked with was great and understanding that sometimes situations are weird.
If you find yourself in the area, and are in need of tire help, I would defiantly recommend.
The opposite of every experience or impression you have about automotive repair. They (the Dans, Talon, and the gang) are genuine and understand the importance of developing sincere and honest relationships with customers. They want what's best for your car AND your bank account. Get to know them. Be a return customer. Other than my kidding around about the coffee being "interesting" at times (I don't come for the coffee but hey, while I am there)...they will take good care of you. Last thought - many issues are due to owners not keeping up on routine maintenance. Small bills can get bigger $$$ unnecessarily, so keep up on routine stuff! Safe is safe - and that can be more or less at your expense. It's teamwork - you and your mechanic. Do your part and I assure you - they WILL do theirs!
Shout out to these guys. I was in town last week driving from appointment to appointment. Had made the trip over from the Capital District. Found a nail in my tire and honestly had very little time to deal with this. Pulled in and asked if there was any way someone could put a plug in for me quickly so I could make it to my next appointment on time. These guys stepped up and helped me out. They didn't have to. It's great to know there are still some good people out there willing to help a person in need. Thank you, Dan and Nick I think his name was. I would absolutely recommend you all to anyone who asks. It's hard to find good people anymore.
The staff at the vestal location were amazingly fast and kind. They were able to fit me in with only a two days notice, and have the best prices for car maintenance around. I would recommend servicing your car here to everyone.
Had my tires replaced at Big E and came back as my low pressure light kept coming on. I was out the door in no time after they found a nail in the tire and fixed it. Trustworthy, good prices, my go-to!
Super friendly from the first phone call, they had the tires delivered and put on my car the same day! If thats not enough they also had a better price with install then anywhere i went. I will definitely be buying all my tires here from now on!
Big E Tire in Vestal is fantastic. Jorge, the manager, is an amazing person and the other employees are just as awesome. They will do anything in their power to help you. the prices are reasonable and I trust them with my car and also to be truthful about what the car needs. They have helped me quite a few times and I would recommend them to anyone who needs anything to do with a car. Keep up the great work.
I bought my tires here last year and was very happy with the service, so I scheduled to have my car inspected with them this year. I am always very nervous about taking my car to a mechanic due to how many times I've been taken advantage of. There were several other women in the waiting room and we were all treated fair and with respect. I actually got my inspection sticker without having to pay hundreds of dollars! I will continue to come here with all my automotive needs.
Rich and his team are awesome. Honest, direct, thorough, courteous, and helpful. I would be hard pressed to go anywhere else in town for tires or service. My experience here has been consistently 5 stars. Their workmanship is always first class and pricing competitive. Great job guys!!!
Most important is the fact that maps show Meineke is here. That store closed and Big E Tires has taken up residence instead. The manager Rich is very professional, honest and has integrity. He has a great working relationship with the staff. Thus excellent service is provided. They will only do what your car needs. No sneaky over charges and no fabricated service demands. Just good work done right. I had rotors turned on a car I had just bought since the dealership ignored my requests for proper service. I will return for general maintenance. Five stars is not enough! Wonderful crew!
