Website is not accurate about buying times and days. Before even getting to the counter I was told it’s been wrong for years and wasn’t told an accurate time or days.

I have taken many items to be sold and always pleased with the amount. While waiting I have found lots of prizes. Everyone is SO nice and pleasant. Highly recommend them for shopping and selling items

They bought 12 of my items + a brand new Kate spade purse in the box that retails over $350. For all 12 items plus the Kate spade purse they gave me $48. When I asked for it back to sell on my own they wouldn’t give it back and said there’s no way to reverse it. DO NIT SELL HERE.

I went to the store yesterday and was basically accused of stealing a SMALL pair of Lulu lemon leggings because there was a tag found in the dressing room I went in. Before I was checked into the dressing room, the lady counted my items, I had 2 skirts and 2 shirts so I’m not understanding why I was called out BY NAME in front of everyone in the store asking me “did I see this leggings in my fitting room? Because there was a tag found on the door.” I’m unsure if they check after every person or not but it sure doesn’t seem like it because I was the only one asked. Also, I didn’t even have a purse or bag with me at all, just my scrubs on. It seems like the lady wanted to me to take my clothes off to see. I felt very embarrassed and uncomfortable and will not be going back.

Worst place to sell your clothes. I had been here once before a long time ago where I was forced to stay over an hour for them to give me only 10$. I came back here to try and sell some jeans and when I dropped off the lady “helping me” was eating chips and chatting and didnt explain to me that if I didn’t stay in the store (which the wait time was again over an hour) that I can just come back by end of day or up to three days after. NO WHERE was it explained that if I didnt like the price I couldn’t take my clothes back. When I came back to collect my clothes (because their offer was terrible) they said that I cannot take my clothes back that it’s their policy and when I tried to explain to them nobody told me that, a man jumped in and was extremely rude when I was just trying to get answers. He pointed to the terribly illegible printed paper and said “it’s on the paper”. poor customer service and a full on scam. nobody wanted to start problems, we just wanted answers. to have attitude with people that are giving you good quality clothes is beyond acceptable.

Super disappointed in this place. They came highly recommended and I would rather do this than just Goodwill so I gave it a try. 1st visit, I was told they only accept buys until 12pm. 2nd visit, they said they were not accepting because of Thanksgiving holiday being that week and for me to call ahead before coming in to check if they are buying any days- but when I did come, to make sure the bags were reusable and "packed neatly". 3rd visit, they said they could do 2 bags. Brought them in, one with shoes (barely worn, one pair never worn) and the other with folded clothes. (Nearly new leather jackets, sweaters, dresses - one still had tags) Told every single item is "styles we dont accept" Then they balled the items up and tossed them in the bags.

Employees are not nice brought 10 items from me only gave me $29 at first she the owner said $27 I said what that’s it then change it to $29 most of the items had never been worn still had tags on them. Just overall was not a good experience would never go back to that store at all felt like there may be some racial bias going on. That store is not for people of color.

I have found some amazing deals here. However, I’m not here for the customer service. The people that work here are not very nice and seem like they hate being here. Other then that..great place to shop!

So easy to shop at this store because it is so well organized and the customer service is great.

I love Uptown Cheapskate Short Pump! They always have just what I’m looking for. My new favorite way to shop. The staff is always exceptionally friendly, kind, helpful, and patient. They consistently make every visit a positive experience.

Went in at 4pm on a Thursday hauling two large bags of clothing and my son in a stroller. Was told they stopped accepting clothes early due to the holiday (it’s Yom Kippur) and recommend that we call before coming to sell clothes. Their early closing isn’t listed on their website or socials and there were at least 4 workers standing behind the counter.

They really do what they want in here. They stop buying clothes randomly on random days and times. Like please get some organization in here. Update: today (OCT 1) “they stopped selling at 3 cause they’re really busy” like ok it’s time for corporate to enter the chat.

Had the worst experience at this location today. The employees were rude from the get go and didn’t care at all. I apparently misunderstood their “rules” and instead of explaining them to me I was met with phrases like “it’s not my fault you didn’t listen” and “go over there with your mad little self”. It’s baffling that these employees are able to work with people when they don’t know how to speak to them. Extremely rude, awful, terrible service. Don’t waste your time selling or buying here.

I don’t normally leave reviews but I love this place so much I just have to recommend it !!! I find treasures every time I come in and the staff is always happy to help. I come in very often & will continue to. Thanks UC!!

I went to buy 4 shirts, one of them being a clearance item tagged with a $5 markdown red sticker, then a $3 sticker on top of it. Katie B (per receipt) removed the stickers and attempted to charge me full price. I asked her if the shirt rung up correctly, in which she said it’s full price. I pointed out the stickers she removed and said she “we literally just got this in, it’s not marked down” in which I said I understand, but if an item it marked then you need to honor it, because that’s false advertising and she ignored me and put the shirt in a random bucket. Extremely unprofessional and rude. It’s not my issue the employees misticketed an item TWICE. Katie B needs to be retrained on customer service or fired.

The best brand name selection and latest fashion for the lowest prices. My daughter scored some air force ones for only $35 and I found the cutest plaid pants for only $3! Plus personal care from the attendents.

Lydia, Amanda, and Jordan all were great! Friendly, helpful, efficient! Huge dollar day sale going on and they had their store running smoothly! 10 out of 10 recommend shopping there!!

Horrible experience my son went up there with my belongings to get an idea of what my clothes and shoes is worth. He took $20 that they offered him for without consulting with me. I asked him to go back and ask for the belongings back and give them the $20 and they refused to return our belongings back and give them their $20 that they gave him. I called the store and the manager hung up on me when I made this request. Rude and unprofessional. I’m hoping the owner can call me so we can resolve this today. My son just left there no less than an hour ago.

Better to call this store beforehand to find out it's rules that change and don't match the website. Environment is not warm and friendly. Was first told they don't accept trash bags, went home and got reusable bags per the employee, came back a little after 4 and was told they stopped buying at 4 when the website said they stopped buying at 7. Went to another location and had a very good experience, and they accepted multiple bags, 8 or 9, and they were trash bags, paper bags, and reusable bags.

I have been to this store twice. I drive over an hour to get there instead of going to the one that’s 20 minutes from my house. The people who work there are very nice. I also felt like I received a fair price for what I brought in. They also have a great selection for shopping! Love this store!

This is by far the best place to ever go and get secondhand clothing. The people are wonderful. The merchandise is incredibly clean and immaculately stopped. I give this a five star rating any day of the week and I always go there. I love this store.

*Poor service and very strict buy rules not disclosed on the website. *Always call before and check if they are accepting buys. They often change the hours without notice because of over flow. * Ask what the rules are while on the phone. These change frequently. At the moment, if you leave while they look at your clothes, you surrender your right to change your mind on an item if you don’t like their offer. Even if it’s an hour and a half wait to have your items viewed!!! * PREPARE TO BE LOW-BALLED!!! You’ll never feel good about how much money they give you in exchange for your items. Don’t expect to be treated with care or appreciation when choosing to shop here. I’ve shopped here many times over the years since their opening. they’re opening were their glory days in my opinion. Service has since declined drastically to present day. Expect harsh, bad attitudes with a forced and fake smile as well as neglect from one or all of the staff. It’s very obvious they all hate their jobs and are stressed out their minds surrounded by strangers and clutter from behind the registers and onto the floor. One staff member even rough bumped into me as I was shopping and didn’t even acknowledge it or apologize. I’ve rarely gotten a warm, “hello” or “can I help you?” even on the quiet days. I gave Uptown two stars because they do have a lot of solid items there, but it’s not worth the poor treatment in my opinion. This is shopping, not war! It’s supposed to be a pleasant and happy experience. Having worked in a clothing store myself, I’m really disappointed in my experiences at Uptown Cheapskate. I will not be doing any further business with them moving forward. Consider yourself warned.

I drove almost an hour to this cheapskate location I called before I got there the lady over the phone said " yes" we buy gently used sneakers. When I arrived I had to wait over an hour to be called for my bid. I had to sign a paper with confidential info on it. The shoes were the newest out 3 pair of newbalance a pair of Jordan's and brand new timberland boots. While I stepped out the building to my car the lady at the desk let the minor child with me sign a paper stating all they would give me was 12 dollars for a pair of brand new timberlands valued 290.00 in the stores or online . They were very rude not only that I watched them pay a woman 50.00 for a bag of rags that I wouldn't even wear. In my opinion the racially profiled me with their nasty jealous attitudes I will never go here again. They sell used rags that goodwill wouldn't even sell plus overpriced NEVER AGAIN JUST WARNING OTHERS....... Especially young black woman these woman are typically racist. I guess they thought I didn't desrver a fair offer o well I went somewhere else and was treated with respect...

I wasn’t planning on coming in today, but I saw them on my drive and thought why not go in. It’s been a while. I’m glad I did! I wasn’t looking to spend $150 today, and I didn’t because I had a birthday discount! The cashier was nice enough to mention that to me during checkout. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I only spent $130 and some change. I also snagged the cutest Coach backpack! Tags and everything on it and in MINT condition. $450 bag that was priced at $64.99. Not a scratch or mark on it. You can’t beat that. Definitely will stop here every time I visit VA! ?

I love this store… I go shopping every 6-9 months for new clothes. I recently lost about 60 pounds and just got a whole new wardrobe. PLUS found some clearance items (AE jeans, Aerie top, $39.99 dress with tag on) for $3 each. Highly recommend!!!

I love this store. The clothes were amazing and I found some really good bargains there...beautiful pair of sterling silver earrings, Nice cowboy rain boots, A beautiful designer dress., And some really cute tops!

I love the different styes on the shelves that you guys always bring! Beautiful quality clothes,and friendly employees. Thank you for making me look beautiful even though I have cancer when I go to your store I always come out of the store looking beautiful. My whole family and we are super happy with our purchases.
