Both John and Jacob were extremely kind and helpful. Their customer service exceeded any I’ve experienced from any other Advanced Auto I’ve visited. This will definitely be the location I go to from now on.

Dealing with an shoulder injury, I went into advance auto parts and brought a battery. I've taken out and replaced batteries before, but wasn't confident lifting the battery with my shoulder. I asked one of the guys that sold me the battery if he could help ( in which they offer that on the front of the window for free battery installations). He asked me what type of car do I have and said that he might not be able to help me since it might be on a list of cars that they aren't allowed to assist with. He looked it up and he did go outside with me and looked at the battery before repeating what he said inside. He walked back inside after saying sorry that he couldn't help, I called the advanced auto parts in short pump and asked if they could help and told him what was said. The associate said on the phone " he said what?!? That's one of the easiest batteries to install" he apologized for that and told me to come down to that location. I jump started my car and made it to that one where he apologized again and another associate assisted with helping me put the battery in. I don't know if the guy who initially rung me up was having a bad day or what, but because him in particular, no one else, I'll be going to the short pump location from now on.

Absolutely amazing store manager and employees they were not only kind but went above and beyond in their customer service to make sure I had what I needed and could get back on the road . Definitely the store to go to if you need anything in Richmond auto related !!!

It was a nice experience picking up a new optima yellow top battery. The guy even let me come back and see what they had so that we could make sure the size was correct. Answered all my questions. It was your typical polite store interaction no complaints here.

I had a battery issue on a Saturday, although I did not initially know it was the battery. My normal mechanic said he couldn't see my car until Monday. I drove to this Advance store early in the morning. The employee present (I'll call him Mr. A) brought out his code reader and said there was low voltage. Looking at the battery, he personally helped me scrape off the corrosion. It helped, but was not enough. I purchased a new battery and he installed it. While he worked, we talked a little about our respective experiences in the army. His help saved me time and an expensive visit to the mechanic. It was an excellent experience.

I called up for a replacement car battery. The man I spoke to (unfortunately I forgot his name, but I believe it was Russell?) was very courteous and helpful. He explained to me what type of battery would be best for my civic, and even got one delivered to his store for that same day. He then installed it for me in the parking lot, and was very amicable and kind, walking me through each step. I would highly recommend Russell and Advance Auto Parts for anyone who needs help with their vehicles.

This is my go to place for automotive needs. Employees are all very professional and helpful. The store is quiet with no blaring in-store music to boot. A HUGE plus. I can actually hear myself think.

I needed to buy a new car battery and get it installed. The sales person was very knowledgeable about the batteries, and did a super careful job in the installation. He carefully cleaned the terminals and mounting bracket to remove all the corrosion, and sprayed the terminals with an anti-corrosion spray. I felt like he did a better job than if I had gone to a car repair store. I gave him a nice tip.

Randy is amazing! I'm not from the area and had issues with starting my car. Figured it was a bad battery or starter. Came straight here and Randy diagnosed and resolved my problem in minutes. If I lived in the area, this would be my go-to AAP. Never had a better experience elsewhere.

I needed a new battery and went to the Advance Auto Parts located at Broad and Gaskins. I was very impressed with the service I received. Danielle assisted me and from beginning to end, she provided excellent customer service, which is very rare these days. She was knowledgeable, went above and beyond what was required and was extremely personable. I highly recommend this location!

I went to Advance Auto at Broad and Gaskins October 20, 2020 because my car wouldn’t start. I was pleasantly greeted by Danielle. After checking my battery, it was discovered I had a bad cell. I could not have asked for better customer service. Danielle was great. Advance is extremely lucky to have her. She is very knowledgeable and her bedside manner is second to none. I’ll definitely go back!

Danielle is the best. She was a huge help by replacing my battery. She is very knowledgeable and offered to clean the contactors and spray with protectant. She didn't have to do that. She was up front with costs and helping find the right product at a reasonable price. Compared to my experience trying to get the dealer to honor the warranty, no contest hands down. The dealer wanted to charge $89 to test the battery, which Advance does for free.

I ordered some items for my car including a car part online at Advance Auto website. I chose to pick up the items from the nearest store by my house. I came to pick my order from the store,and it wasn't ready. The store associate, seeked my help to find the items on the shelves which I found to be odd. I got home with my items, tried to install the part on my car, and realized it was not the right fit for my vehicle as stated online. I made sure to enter my vehicle information before purchasing it. I decided to return it because I couldn't use it. It was about an hour from the time I picked it up, all within the same day. Receipt states you can return items within 45 days of purchase. The agent and another manager on duty refused to return it for me because their store manager told them not to return electrical items. If they do, they will lose their jobs. I explained to them I could not use the part and I was not being dishonest. I took one of the associate to my car, pulled the old part from my vehicle to prove it was not the right part but they both decided not to refund or exchange the part for me ,because they would be scolded by their store manager if they did.I was very disappointed with their service. I have been making purchases at Advance Auto for years. This was a big blow. I will start going where I am valued as a customer, and a store that follows their policy. I'll definitely not recommend this store.

This is the auto parts store I choose whenever I have a need for a quick replacement part (wiper blades, fluids, battery, bulbs, etc.) Kemal has helped me multiple times, and he is both pleasant and wants to help you get the right thing. They've read codes for me off my cars and given me reasonable recommendations as well. I appreciate their honesty and desire to help very much.

Great customer service, great products for sale. although my windshield wipers weren't cheap, the young man installing them for me for free was nice! Fortunately it wasn't raining at the time although he mentioned that he installed some the day before in the rain for several customers. With painful arthritis, I can't do it any longer and it's better than going to the dealership and paying $$$.

This was definitely, BY FAR, the best experience at Advanced Auto Parts. I’m in town on business so I’m far away from home when my battery went dead. Was able to get it jumped to make it here and then I met Danielle. She made me feel comfortable and confident in my purchase. Danielle was a blast to talk to and hang out with while installing my battery. We swapped retail war stories. What an awesome addition to your staff to value your customers. Kemal and his associates saved the day for me, my battery died at a local gas station they not only let me use a loaner jump box to get it to the store but they gave me great advice to save money by ordering my new battery online! They even installed my new battery! Couldn't be happier! Great job guys A+ customer service!
