They took us in when no one else wanted to work on our old RV on a 1997 Ford E350 cab n chassis. Explained everything wrong and what could go wrong in the future. And the history of these engines. I got a great lesson. Apparently many mechanics don't want to work with these old Ford Tritons because of its many issues. just when I thought he would send me on my way to limp back home they fixed it. Done in less than 2 hours and I got to watch up close what they were doing. If I lived even 100 miles away I would go here in a second. One of the best family run father and son mechanics out there.
Let me start by saying, I have the worst vehicle anxiety of anyone these people have probably ran across. So patient, professional, and friendly!! They don’t overcharge nor mansplain things to customers. I’ve ran across so many other garages up here that do both of those things. I was so pleasantly surprised once I found this shop. They do great work!
I have been going to Hanover auto since 2008. Pedro the owner is very knowledgeable and incredibly honest. He’s also great at explaining things and never seems to rush you when he’s going through an explanation. I’ve had them do a lot of work on my cars over the years. I cannot say enough good things about this place.

I've lived in Glen Allen for a little over 3 years now. And Hanover is the only place I'll take my car. They are amazing. They are honest, you can trust what they say. They can get busy and you might wait a while to get in. But it's worth it. They have given us amazing advice, they told us not to bother spending the money on an Audi. They told us not to fix something on our Camry as it wasn't worth it.

I was travelling and had a check engine light come on. I called not expecting anything as other shops said they didn't have time.
Hanover said to come by right then and at the very least be able to give me the codes and what it likely meant. Ended up being something super minor and unimportant, but they took the time to explain to me exactly what it was, how it worked, and what it likely meant. Really great service and great people

Very nice people. I had to get an inspection and they got my car in and out in 20 minutes. I have been there for many years. They are honest and make sure their customer are happy.
I've been going there for years. Fast, efficient, and always thinks about their customers first. Making a profit doesn't come first. I have recommended them to my friends and they've all been pleased with the service.
Best shop I have ever had my truck at, it gave them all kinds of issues that were very hard to diagnose and they worked things out and gave me a fair price. They also helped me keep it as cheap as possible and were consistently honest, I highly recommend them and I will continue to bring my vehicles here all the way from Cumberland County.
I took my car here to get my brakes/rotors changed after being told at the dealership that my car needed it, like yesterday. Even before I took my car here, the customer service via phone conversations was prompt and polite. Price was reasonable. I believe I spoke with LP. I actually ended up not getting anything done to my car. I dropped it off and they called me back a few hours later saying my brakes weren't bad at all and that I could easily get several (10+) thousand more miles out of them. LP explained his reasoning, and I felt comfortable with trusting his advice. He said if I had any questions, I could bring it back and they'd check it out without an issue. I appreciate the integrity and honesty, since they could have easily replaced my brakes and charged me for it knowing I didn't need it (like the dealership seemed to be trying to). Instead, they advised me appropriately and saved me some money. Will definitely bring my car back here in the future when I do need my brakes and anything else done.
These people are super fair and have great customer service. When I went in to get my car inspected, they found out I needed a new tie rod. They sat with me and broke down the price including the part, the labor etc. They didn't price gouge and got it done super quick. I will definitely be back!
Let me first caveat this review by stating I haven't even taken my truck there yet - that said, I can already tell I am going to really like this place. I spoke to the younger Pedro and explained my 'unique' situation - I have clad wheels and apparently that is causing a ruckus in the tire service community due to balancing issues. After calling several tire places and getting the cold shoulder, Pedro was aware of the problems with these wheels and took the time to explain to me the why's and how's and his history balancing these wheels. I will bring them my truck Thursday with confidence and can imagine bringing my family's vehicles for future work.
Hopefully I can remember to follow up with this review after they actually work on it!
Friendly, honest, family owned business that does great work for a great price. The respect they have for each customer is something that is sadly missing in today's day and age. As someone who is inexperienced with cars, other mechanics in the past have tried to exaggerate problems with my car to scare me into paying for more services than I needed to. I took my car to Hanover Auto and they gave me an honest description of what was wrong and how to fix it for a much less inflated price than the other places. I have taken my car there ever since.
