Staff went above and beyond to get the correct windshield wiper blades so they could pass my car for state inspection. Gave me an additional discount when it took longer than expected to get the right blades to the shop for install.

Bought Groupon for oil change at this business. I made an appointment. They called me the day before and canceled my appointment . They said that they were servicing at that area any more. A few days days, I got an email saying they had merged with another shop out in Glen Allen. I asked if they were going to honor my Groupon vouchers. They said no and I would have to reach out to Groupon for a refund request I tried reaching out to Groupon but all I got is their AI. So much for integrity.

I recently relocated to this area and needed a mechanic. My brother recommended Virginia Automotive in Short Pump. The service appointment was super easy to schedule online, the Customer service and Mechanical work were excellent, and the price was very reasonable. I’ve scheduled another service appointment for another vehicle based on a great first experience!

First time used them and they were very helpful and quick with replying/estimate. Terry was very knowledgeable and quick to work on my car. Thank you again and will be back!

Not a very good shop. I supplied hardware to do the job, and they instead purchased different hardware and marked it way up. I asked for oil change and didn't get it. I understand everyone needs to make money, however robbing an out of state customer is not how I would do business. I wouldn't recommend them if you're on a budget or low on money. Nice group of guys, but way over pricing got them this review.

Squirrel had chewed electrical wires. Virginia automotive technician was very transparent on what the issue was and how to repair. Very pleased that I received the truck back within 24 hours and the truck is running great

Had a few things that needed to be done to my car, called at 8AM when they open and Mike was able to get my seen day of and get my car fixed up. Reasonably priced and great service!

Good service and close to my home. Terry called to recommend preventative services which I appreciated. Staff and mechanic seemed professional and answered all my questions.

This place has gone downhill in the last few years. I've worked around this area for over 10 years and it used to be a friendly business that did not try to swindle customers into doing unnecessary and premature repairs and labor do drive up revenue. I've taken my car to the competitors in the same area and they always say the repairs are unwarranted and unnecessary. I'm done being a customer here.

This business has become my goto location for all my car needs. Went to them for a simple state inspection and was amazed they didn’t try to cross sell anything. I had to then bring my older car to them. They analyzed it and pointed out issues in varying levels of criticality. Detailed descriptions and photos. Clear pricing ahead of work. I could choose what to address and no pushing at all. My third visit was for an oil change. For the first time in over 20yrs someone didn’t try to upsell. And they did a great job with actual execution every time. Great communication too and on time. No follow ups needed. They even recommended another business for my vehicle’s audio needs. Mike and Michelle are amazing! Very attentive and to the point. Do I recommend? Oh yeah!

The team was very good. They uncovered a leak from my water pump and saved me the headache of being broken down on the side of the road. They worked with my Carmax warranty to get it covered. Pricing was fair and service was excellent.

(Beware) I selected this shop because of all the positive reviews. I was sorely disappointed. My first indication I should have left as soon as I arrived, was the receptionist. She was so unpleasant person. It seemed as though my mere presence bothered her. She was unfriendly and not a good representation of the business. Moving forward, I told them what the issues were , which dare I say were minor. They quoted me an initial price and then once I applied for their store credit and was approved , all of a sudden the cost ballon’s from $700 to $1500 and to add insult to injury, they didn’t even fix my issue, they told me to go to the dealership where I bought the car. Disappointing, I will never return to this place.

I went to get my struts replaced so I could pass inspection. They were able to fix my car the same day I dropped it off, but when I went to pick it up they forgot to screw something back on and my car was making noises any time I had to break. I went back the next morning for them to fix it, but ever since I took my car there it still makes an odd sound when I break and now the steering wheel shakes anytime I go over 65 miles an hour I did not have this issue before.

If it were at all possible to give 0 stars i would. I have a 2019 Chevy traverse. Im a single mom with 2 teenagers my schedule is very tight so I made an appointment. I came in for an oil change and to get my car inspected. I sat there for 5 hours. They changed the oil, not the filter, I had just gotten my permanent tags from dmv, my mother left me the car when she passed away recently. I hadnt even put the new tags and the stickers on yet they were still in the sleeve in the front seat, the stickers were missing when they returned my keys to me, they told me that I needed a front right hub assembly and my head and tail light were out, just the lights were 289.00 the people at the front desk even tried to scare me into believing that my wheel was going to fall off if I didn't pay them almost 700.00 to fix everything. They put a failed sticker on my car. They didnt reset the light for my oil change,when I asked the manager about my stickers he said they were In the car when I left. I keep my car locked and it's just me and my sons in the car they dont even sit up front where the tags were there is no one else that had access to my car. I went and filed a civil suit. They charged me 89.00 didnt give me the discount that was advertised on their sign. After I said I wasnt getting the repairs they kept my car another hour and a half saying they were topping off the fluids when they were rummaging through my things. The fluids were never touched. They left their nasty tools in my front seat but Fun fact about it I have a dashcam. After this nightmare of an experience with these con artists I took my car to river city refinishing. She changed both of mylights for free and my car didnt even need the wheel assembly. Please read these reviews. Don't fall prey to con artists that have no integrity or respect for your property. That visit has taken up so much of my life while im still greiving my mom. I had to go to the courthouse the dmv have the imaging fro my dashcam printed out. Your time is valuable and you shouldn't have to worry about being robbed while your paying someone to service your vehicle. Go somewhere you can trust. Gregs garage is right across the street and he didnt charge me at all to look at the car. Best of luck.

This place was so time efficient I'm honestly amazed and in awe. I've never been to a mechanic in which they were ahead of schedule and finished the work on time. Everyone was also so polite. I got my state inspection done and needed windshield wipers replaced and took less than an hour and a half. The process was so easy and seamless. Will be coming back for future service to my car!

Virginia Automotive has been taking care of my cars for a decade or more. They always do a great job and charge fair prices. Occasionally there will be specials that are great to take advantage of as well. My car is under an extended warranty and VA Automotive has had to jump through many hoops to get claims paid. They are super to work with! Highly recommend!

The customer service was pretty good. They scheduled my appointment for next day and my car was ready very quickly. I will say, I only needed one TPM sensor replaced but they did a full inspection of my car and came back with a LOOONG list of things that needed to be done. I was pretty shocked as I got my car looked at four days ago and my tpm tested. My hometown autoshop said one was out and another was fading. VA automotive services told me one is out and the other three are fading. This was pretty confusing to me. I was also quoted $25 for the diagnostics but they put $42 in my report. I called and this was changed since “$25 was my understanding.” I appreciated that but again…confused. The extensive list of items they said they recommended I do were mostly “maintenance” that needed to be done but the some of the prices were steep for what it was. To simply replace my cabin air filter and engine air filter element, would run me $220.45 (cabin was 131.54!!). Mind you, I have a 2013 corolla…NOT a luxury vehicle. Ive checked these myself, they’re VERY accessible. This is $25 max and 20min of my time. Honestly, everything else pretty much followed that lead in terms of pricing. I would probably not recommend anyone to go here unless they wanna pay dealership pricing (maybe even more) at an independent mechanic. Pretty disappointed with how the whole experience panned out.

The team at Virginia Automotive Service was great! I called on a Monday to get my inspection done before Thursday (I totally forgot it was due this week) and they were able to get me in on Wednesday. I dropped my car off at 8, they had it inspected and recommended fixes to me before 9! They were very clear with what was recommended vs. required and transparent with their reasons. I picked up my car at lunch! Will definitely come back for future work.

First off, this is a sweet hidden gem for me next time I’m in town. The call to book was pleasant and helpful. Then when I got in for my appointment both guys at the front were kind and courteous. The whole process very smooth. They have a coffee area and a place for WiFi. This is hands down one of my new fave places for an oil change. Place was clean, too. Appreciate you guys thank you for just being you.

They were very helpful and friendly. I was very pleased with their service. Purchased a car from CarMax and found out a few days later one tire had a leak. Virginia Automotive was able to give me an appointment the next day. They were able to get a tire ordered, received and installed the next day.

I came here for a state inspection. I made an appointment online about a week out. They sent out a confirmation text two business days ahead. I ended up waiting in their wait room for about an hour. It was a clean and accommodating space. Everyone was friendly and the service was great. They sent a follow up text two days later to make sure everything went well (I needed my windshield wipers replaced). Will definitely come here again.

I’ve been going here for state inspections for a few years now. They do an excellent job. I like that they show you all the recommended services (and the cost) but are not pushy about trying to get you to buy any or all of them. Also just used them to change out our tires and they did a superb job. Would highly recommend.

The team at Virginia Automotive Service center are great! The always take the time to answer my questions & explain the work being done on my car. They give me a heads up when they see something will need to be worked on in the next year to keep the car in top shape. That forward thinking helps my family plan for the expense appropriately! I am so relieved I found this automotive team. The quality of service and care has been excellent. I also love the automation...from being able to book an appointment online to viewing a very detailed estimate when it comes in by text and being able to approve per item without playing phone tag. And the times I need to talk with someone they have been immediately reachable and responsive and so easy to talk to. My experience has been great and I am very thankful I have a trusted team I can rely on.

My car is literally reaching the end of the road. I really appreciate the honesty and consideration from Richard on keeping it going till I can get a new car in 2022.
