I needed help finding a couple of things and everyone there went above and beyond to help me find them! The staff are really great and they have a lot of options you typically can't find at other grocery stores.

The atmosphere is very nice, but the cost of even the simplest, most basic produce is at least twice that of even other 'higher end' grocers. It's nice to be able to find certain specialty items, but it's difficult to justify the prices.

Store associates are the BEST, product selection is top notch. I forgot my reading glasses and a produce associate took the time to assist me find the best hummus for my allergic body. All associates I've dealt with have superior customer care skills.

Busy place, shows that service is good. I was returning an Amazon delivery. The young lady greeted me with a beautiful smile and had me on my way in minutes. Couldn't ask for better service. The meat department displayed fresh looking beef, cuts were professionally done, and showed that they were the backbone of the store. Produce department displayed the same. Produce was fresh looking and displayed in a professional manner. This also shows the stores priorities. A one stop place where every aspect is covered; cleanliness, orderly, freshly placed items and friendly personnel. Highly recommend.

Whole Foods in Glen Allen is consistently an excellent shopping experience. The store is clean, well-organized, and fully stocked with high-quality products. The produce is always fresh, and I appreciate the wide selection of organic, specialty, and international items. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful, which makes a big difference. Checkout is smooth and efficient, and the overall atmosphere is calm and welcoming. A great place to shop if you value quality, freshness, and outstanding customer service. Highly recommended!

Definitely the place to shop at if you enjoy a nice atmosphere and quality products.. Im willing to pay a little extra for good quality groceries. I love being able to shop in silence and really browse my options without it being crowded or the people being obnoxious.

Great customer service, fresh veggies, fruits, meats and seafood. Reasonable prices especially for the quality and selection. Always my go to place.

Will not be ordering turkey from Amazon again. Whole Foods is great, food is great staff is great. However, I tried ordering on Amazon app, and could not get it done. So went to the physical store , except they explained they were not doing in-store orders, only through the app. One resourceful employee did help me find a phone number. So I called, but had to bounce back & forth between call & phone screen. Did get it ordered. Then the emails: not available. Wait: just not available today.. next Tuesday. You've been charged. No, you've been refunded. No; partially refunded. They actually all made sense once I read the whole email & fine print. Except wouldn't just 1 single happy little email "Looking forward to seeing you Tues Nov 25th! You will be charged then based on exact weight of bird." I mentioned this when I went to pick up the bird. Nice employees were sympathetic; I was not the first to mention it. And that Amazon actually thought they were streamlining it for me. It gets even better. Amazon sends a questionnaire to rate. All their questions have to do with the store and it's employees. Not a single question about how Amazon complicated & confused the ordering process. I wasn't even 100% sure if they had a turkey for me. And Amazon wants to blame Whole Foods. That is just not fair.

Just had an incredibly embarrassing experience at the counter. Evidently, to buy bread, you have to get the permission of a baker who will hand it to you. This is a fact not made evident by any signage, by any degree of difficulty in getting the product, etc. Had to endure the cashier talking to me like I was an idiot, staring daggers at me, refusing to let me just ditch that product and go on with my trip, etc. As someone with social anxiety, this is basically my worst nightmare. I'll stick to places that are more welcoming and sensory friendly in the future. If you also struggle with any sort of social anxiety, stay far away from here.

This is the best Whole Foods I’ve been to by far. Thanksgiving is always a nightmare shopping but the staff at the holiday table were very nice, Live and Chloe were helpful when I had questions about ordering and directed me to the right information. The customer service team at this store go above and beyond, you can tell they all are passionate and truly appreciate the work they do. I spoke to Ollie on the phone while I was on the way to the store and he checked if many items were in stock and the prices before we arrived. Once we had gotten there we were greeted by Crystal. Ollie and Crystal proceeded to direct me to what I needed and even helped bag for our sweet cashier Madeline! The staff made this Thanksgiving grocery run a dream.

I absolutely love Whole Foods! Very clean store, great employees and the best part is that I LOVE that majority of their products are organic and that they have more vegetarian/non-dairy options. :)

Fresh squeezed OJ 11/14/2025 I got it say its been a while since I’ve been able to get fresh OJ at wholes food in short pump (always unavailable lately). Today, food naloy in stock! I buy two full bottles of fresh Oj and it taste it like it was watered it down… Not what you are expecting when paying almost $20 bucks for it. I’ve had it in the past and it shouldn’t taste like half fresh squeezed OJ and half water… Very disappointing…

I couldn’t find anyone that would suggest cheese and wine parings. The only worker said “they are busy”. Too busy to help a client and increase sales. Ok. Back to wegmans it is.

Cheese and wine department is always out of stock when I need to pick up my favorite cheese and wine. It seems like no one is even working at that section of the store

Great! Glad for Whole Foods. I would just like to see one in my own town or at least under 40 minutes from it. Otherwise, I found everything I needed.

My preferred grocery store when needing produce. Always easy to get on and out of. Great for bringing kids as you can get a free piece of fruit from the basket near the customer service desk

Love Whole Foods! I drove 30 minutes to get here! They have organic items that I cannot find elsewhere locally (e.g., bacon, fresh jalapenos/serranos, etc). They also have all the Good Culture products (e.g., different flavored cream cheese, sour cream, and cottage cheese) that I no longer can get at Walmart! Some items are a little cheaper than Walmart, too! I just wish I got the Amazon discount when using my Amazon credit card, I no longer have an Amazon account. I am going to try my Dad's next time, though.

Whole Foods has the best chicken—hands down! The quality is always top-notch, and it’s fresh every time. The butcher cut is excellent too—they do it just the way I ask, and it's always clean and precise. Definitely my go-to place for fresh, high-quality meat.

Only 4/5 ⭐️ due to the rising prices! Otherwise, fantastic service as always, products I cannot ever find anywhere else, and a wide choice of options no matter what it is that I’m looking for. I recently had to stop by for some Rescue Remedy- a perfect example of the kind of thing I can’t find in most stores! Thank you for being here in Richmond in short pump for all of us, despite the economy. We’ll get through! Ps- Past history of ordering birthday cakes with While Foods as well, and they’ve always done an amazing job with the entire process! Highly recommend!

Update January 2025 The packaged food is no better. These young people have no clue of how to prepare GOOD food. I give up. ? Update February 2023 Customer service is still good. Still not impressed with the hot bar or menu most of the time. It is like they are putting something out just to say that they did. The breakfast was good a couple of times that I visited last year, but that was short lived. The Richmond stores have a water station where you can refill your water bottles. Just discovered that the Alexandria (Northern VA) stores that I visited do not have a water station...so disappointed.☹ Prior review 4 years ago... Back to where the employees know how to treat their patrons unlike the Newport News, VA location. Prices are still a bit high, but there is an abundance of choices. This location has a huge inventory although the bakery could use some improvement. The hot bar didn't look appetizing either...alot of dried out, greasy dishes, especially sauce dishes and meat.

Went in specifically for a goat mozzarella cheese. Unfortunately, they don't carry it at this location, but they were able to steer me towards a buffalo mozzarella that's also very tasty and lactose free. I picked up some farm raised salmon(skin on) because it looked pretty good. Getting in to this shopping center was a bit of a pain, but the Whole Foods parking lot is well designed and has plenty of parking. Lots of other stores around it as well. They have a good variety of vegan, gluten free, dairy free, soy free options on the shleves as well as at the hot bar. They had plenty of cashiers when I visited, I didn't have to use the self checkout. Found Katz gluten free cinnamon buns and a few other items. They have the seaside English cheddar that my wife loves.

Highly overpriced. Yens sell Fiji water which means you enjoy taking consumers money. I patronized your bakery and was highly disappointed. I wanted a chocolate cannoli like the one I had home in New York but Yens disappointed me and proved that everything down to the Whole Foods is superior in New York.

We live around the corner so we end up shopping here fairly frequently. It's clean, well-stocked, and effectively staffed to make getting in and out pretty quick and easy. Only criticism would be the hot bar, which is priced based on weight. The food is decent, but clearly there is an additive/binder used to retain a lot of moisture to make the foods heavier. You can feel it when you pick up the plate. The food in the photo weighed over 1.2 pounds and cost over $15 (fork added for scale). I understand the need to be profitable, but I know how much food normally weighs and this is pretty extreme. Their pizza is really good though, better than most chain pizza joints.

Space and efficiency come to mind while shopping at this Whole Foods location. Watching this whole store operation is like observing a well oiled machine. I like how all the departments are organized. Practically everything related to healthy food and wellness can be found here. Even outdoor shaded seating is available here. I enjoy visiting this store!

Love Whole foods. Do you know they sell water? No, not water in bottles. You can refill your 5 gallon bottles with beautiful water. 3 different types. I love the reverse osmosis and de-ionized. They also have 25% discount on supplements from 09/11 - 09/13. Hurry!!!

Picture perfect Whole Foods market. This is the cleanest, most well-organized, and spacious Whole Foods I've ever been in. Great selection, dine in areas, and restaurant.
