We have loved going here but I’ve sent 4 emails inquiring about a birthday party and no one has answered me- frustrating!

Save your money don’t go pumpkin picking here. Complete rip off. Pumpkins are from the store $25 just to enter then to get in and find out all the kids activities are $15 extra per kid. Go to Loyd Family Farm instead

I came here to do the pumpkin patch. Besides the high price point for very little activity, the biggest disappointment is that you cant even pick your own pumpkins. Everything in the field is pre picked and laid out in rows and piles. I expected more but this felt like a flea market with very little emphasis on any of the actual fall activities.

My garden didn’t do very well this year, so I appreciated finding fresh tomatoes, wonderful sweet corn, and squash here. I couldn’t resist the goat milk fudge, strawberry pie and raw honeycomb, too. So many choices! Wish I had bought some pears too. If you want cheap, hit the food lion for standard grocery fare. But, if you enjoy a surprise selection of local, garden-fresh [whatever’s in season], and a bunch of stuff you didn’t know you needed, this is a fun place to treat yourself! I’ll be back, often.

I attended the Rock Rewind Fest here in August 2025. I understand this event was put on by another company, and my review will go there as well. The Pavillion was large, the stage huge, with lots of amenities, fake grass, and covered. The issue was the "VIP" area....the description was correct, to an extent. The area flanked the stage, correct, but it failed to mention the enormous fans, fencing, and material that blocked the view of the stage and performers. The covered area had long tables and folding chairs, and a roll away bar. To actually see the stage, you had to sit in the uncovered area next to the porta potties. This area cost each person $125. For $20 you could sit right in front of the stage, provided you did arrive before gates opened, and have a much better, unobstructed, view of the stage. The only reason I only took off one star was because the money benefited a good cause.

Hi everyone, I’ve been working as a contractor for many years and have spread a lot of topsoil in that time, so I know what to expect in terms of quality. Unfortunately, the 15 yards of topsoil I received from Hanover Vegetable Farm was some of the most compacted material I’ve ever dealt with. When I called to question the condition of the load, I was told it “gets clumpy when wet” — and at that point, they had already charged my credit card. However, this wasn’t just clumpy soil. More than half the load consisted of hard, compacted balls of dirt, many of which were so dry and discolored it was obvious they were from previous seasons. The color and texture were inconsistent, and a lot of it was simply unusable as-is. What should have been a 3-hour spreading job turned into an 8-hour ordeal, as I had to shovel piles of these clumps into a wheelbarrow and manually break them down before I could even attempt to spread them — especially around the edges. I don’t normally leave reviews, but I felt this needed to be shared. I hope Hanover takes a closer look at their soil quality control moving forward.

I just stopped there about an hour ago to get some Hanover tomatoes. I did buy a few, but it’s the last time I will ever patronize this place. I’ve shopped here over the last nine years and this has to be the absolute dirtiest I’ve ever seen it! Flies all over the produce, open trash can with rotting vegetables and fruit right next to the “good” stuff! PLUS…the trash can liner had blood running down the inside of it and the flies were just disgusting. I hope the right people read this and get the county health inspector out there and either shut them down or make them clean up the place. I do wish that the people that owned it originally were back. Then it was a great place! These new owners are horrible and their prices are crazy as well. So, whoever reads this tirade of mine, do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs.

Beautiful venue and great events - smoothly run, great customer service. Market has the best local veggies, fruits, meats and artisan items. Highly recommend!

Not worth the price of admission. Parking was terrible (not because there was no parking but because the people directing it had no idea what they were doing). They had hardly any food, no vendors, and barely anything for the kids let alone the adults. At the end of the day, it would have been easier, cheaper, and roughly the same amount of fun to just go to the grocery store to get pumpkins

Decent Veggie Farm for field trips. Bounce Houses, goats, corn maze, pumpkin picking, Pavillion to eat, and plenty of open areas. Kids had a great time. Would like to have seen more instructional components as it was a field trip (life cycle of a pumpkin, healthy eating, pollination, etc)

Went out last night for the crabs and maters event. Loved all the food! Crabs were fat, BLT'S were yummy, BBQ was very tasty, hush puppies to die for, and corn was so sweet and tender no butter or salt and pepper needed. Not having to pay for individual beer, sodas and water was also a plus! Band was great and everything was spot on. Wonderful experience and ready to do it again!

Buyer beware. Like other reviews the screened topsoil is not what you would expect. I had many large clumps mixed in that when broken open turned out to be useless clay. Needless to say I am NOT happy with their screened topsoil product. Like another comment on here I wonder what they “screen” with. This photo shows some of what I’m talking about but there was much more than this.

7/8/23 - Teaze concert was fantastic. Great venue for outdoor music.

They always seem to have a decent collection of plants, a good number of outdoor decorations and all the regular farm items like mulch, compost, etc.

This is an exciting venue. Recently, we went there to pick pumpkins with the family, hang out with friends, shop and enjoy live entertainment. Over the years, we have attended many musical and festival events here. Great place to be!

Every time we come here, it's a great experience! Today we came for the goblins, gourds, and ghouls festival. We were a little disappointed the wine tasting fell through at the last minute but it was still a fun day overall. Will continue coming back year after year!

Quaint country venue surrounded by cornfields and horse farms. The staff is friendly and they hold events frequently. There is also a store and nursery (not pictured) that has a lot of offerings. Will be returning.

We love stopping by the Market when we drive by here. Today I picked up some really sweet white peaches, zucchini, squash and cantaloupe. Everything is so fresh and inexpensive. I also bought a Tomato Pie, cannot wait to try it. Their freezer is filled with butter beans and frozen green beans. They have all kind of salsas, jam, pickles, and preserved vegetables. Don’t forget the most popular Hanover Tomatoes.

Last fall my wife and I decided to establish a new lawn by adding top soil to our property. Upon receiving two orders (a total of 25 yards) we realized this was not the high quality screen top soil we purchased. The soil was clumpy and full of sticks and debris but at the time we didn't think much of it and proceeded to finish our project. Now that it's several months later, our yard is littered with gravel where the grass did not fill in. Needless to say, our yard is worse than before. This is absolutely unacceptable..

I am very disappointed in Hanover Vegetable Farm. We received our 1st batch of compost dirt (15 yards) on 9/4 and it was wonderful and so easy to spread. We needed more for our front yard, so we ordered an additional 15 yards and it came on 9/6. Once we started putting it in the yard we quickly realized it wasn't from the same pile. It had clumps of dirt as referenced in the attached picture. Some were softball size. When we called to complain, they said they had some complaints and they were switching vendors. The dirt is horrible to spread, and we had to spend so much time beating out the clumps of dirt. It had so many twigs and trash in it. They were not very sympathetic and helpful with remedying the situation. We will definitely not be using them again.

Our first visit, and we will be back. I have searched a lot of "road side stands" and none can compare with Hanover Veggies. We bought tomatoes, canned pickles and spiced shrimp, all of which were outstanding! They sell a good variety of fresh veggies, honey, canned goods and even meats. Also if you want to do some nick nack shopping, there's plenty to choose from. Friendly staff and a clean, organized place?

We got tickets online the night before for the Pumpkin ? Festival. Unfortunately it was a rainy day, but we decided to venture out anyways. Very glad we did. Even though it was wet and a little muddy, lines were short and the place wasn't packed. We've been at this before where we had to wait almost 20mins to get on the Hayride to go pick your pumpkins. Today we had no wait and the whole ride to ourselves. Lots of little activities to do, especially for the kids. They had live ?, lots of food trucks and vendors. Few goats and chickens were out to feed. They have corn cannons and a hide and seek tent set up. We had a good muddy walk through the corn maze. Wife got a ? slushy and a beer. The Apple Cider and Apple Cider doughnuts were amazing. Finished the day after picking our pumpkins with fried oreos and a funnel cake. Great family fun, even on a wet and dreary day!

Our family had a awesome day! Lots of activities for the children as well as the adults. They also had a pretty good band playing. Very reasonably priced

Ideal for young kids. Well-designed space and lots of fun activities. If you want your kids to get fresh air, exercise and appreciate animals and farming this is ideal.

Nice people working, got to ride on a wagon pulled by a tractor and pick out pumpkins. They also have a bunch of cement garden/yard decorations.

Offers a variety of activities but only some were open during our visit (mid-day on a Saturday). Music, petting zoo, children's play area, hayrides and pumpkins. Flyers for haunted attractions were out but setup was still in progress. Food and snack vendors available though we didn't try them. Not sure if the other stations would open closer to dark or if they were for Halloween and not yet available. Smoke parking, okay prices.
