The team demonstrated professionalism and genuine care by assisting us during an emergency late on a Friday afternoon. They had the exact part we needed for our RV, ensuring our family's weekend camping trip was saved. We are truly grateful for them answering the phone and having the part in stock!

Ashland location booked out 3 months. Henrico location does not work on trailers. Midlothian location took the work, told to call ahead, when I called they said PASS on the work as their forklift can't move my 2 horse trailer around their lot. Wow, what trailers can you work on??

I called looking for a specific part I wanted same day, after hearing it wasn’t stocked I nearly hung up - thankfully I didn’t. Reba took some time to understand what i needed. Scott took some extra time to make sure I was also getting what i needed. I ended up ordering the parts, one of which was a better solution and saved me hours on install!

Came in with a bum wheel on a dual axle trailer. Owner didn't have part in stock. He called a competition and had them hold it for me. Very impressive

Ashland hitch was amazing! I needed a 5th wheel hitch put in, and had a very short time frame to get it done in! They worked with me to get it installed quickly. The friendliness of the staff and their customer service was absolutely amazing!

I didn't buy anything but went by to see if they could help me with a bed cover I already had. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and patient. I will definitely go back when I get a new bed cover for my truck.

Got to give a shout out to these guys. Had an issue with the airbags on my F350. Most everyone I called was so booked up and would be 2-3 weeks just to look at the problem, not fix it. Would have to reschedule for that. Called these guys as a last ditch effort. Should have called them first. Scott did explain that he could squeeze me in just to see what the problem was but would be a couple weeks to fix if something "big". I tried to figure out the problem myself but couldn't find it. Sent my wife up there at scheduled time. They took truck back and within 30 minutes brought the truck back to her, handed her keys and said all done, no charge. What???? No charge?? Kidding me, right. Nope. It was a 1 inch section in the air tubing that had split. They fixed it and on her way. Thanks guys! That's customer service for you. Yes, I will go back again when needed. Now, if only I could convince my wife to let me get that bully bar.....

I have done business with this company several times over 20 years. EVERY time their customer service and end results have been exceptional. Just this week “Will” the trailer hitch wiring specialist, fixed a small problem and gave me advice on another I could fix myself. Took just a few minutes and charged $0.00 ! Highly recommended.

Would give it 6 stars if I could. Great place, great people. Had a trailer receiver install done and had it done in half the time at half the cost I was originally quoted. I know this could fluxate depending on how busy they are but from what I saw they had a lot going on and still handled everything very well, fast, and professional. I hung out in the waiting/showroom with a retired gentlemen who was doing the same thing I was for a jon boat and we all talked fishing while the work was being done. Last but not least, one of the ladies was heading on her lunch break and offered to get both of us drinks. I opted for water due to health reasons but the other gentlemen asked for a Pepsi. So she went in the back and grabbed me a water bottle and when she got back from lunch she has homeboys Pepsi just like she said. He offered to pay for it and she said it was on her no problem. I'm hoping everyone isn't expecting to go to Ashland Hitch and get free Pepsis for life but it definitely shows the caliber of employee there. Very pleased with everything and will happily choose Ashland Hitch anytime. Period. Thank you guys!!!!!

Spent the morning with the Truckin Thunder group. Great folks that work there. Our boat axel fell apart, and these folks spent the morning trying to rebuild it to get us on our way. Your work, and generosity are amazing. Thank You!!

Super down to earth crew. The manager is super helpful and friendly as well. I had a hitch installed on my truck, and my battery kicked the bucket right when I parked in their lot. They were nice enough to jump me a couple times to get the truck into the shop, install the hitch, and then again on my way out. I’d definitely recommend this place. Thanks guys!

Not going here ever again. Brake controller was just a plug in and easy to install, but my AC would not work after I left. Turned around and told them. They put it on MAX AC and that did work so I drove off. When I switched off of MAX AC it would blow heat from the heater. They originally tried to tell me my AC needed coolant. I called the next morning and explained the situation to Scott. I said if the AC will work on MAX then it blows from the heater on regular AC it can't be coolant. He kept saying it couldn't be their fault because they just plugged it in. I wasn't being rude, but used logic to say that the issue had to have happened while at their shop. Anyway, he just told me I wasn't listening to him and that people come back and tell them there transmission doesn't work when they didn't even work on the transmission. Basically, saying I didn't know what I was talking about and I was blaming them for something that was not their fault. Honestly, the guy Scott, was really rude. I was a little surprised about how rude he was being. He said to bring it back in and they would look at it, but I was done with him at that point. So I just went on my Toyota Forum and wrote what had happened to see if anyone else had the same issue. I got a hit back and they guy told me they had unplugged a specific sensor wire and where it was. Seems it is not uncommon. Always after someone works with the wiring under the steering wheel. So I fixed it myself in 45 minutes. I will be going to Big Tex Trailer down the street from now on. Life is too short do deal with rude people like Scott who in their mind never make mistakes.

I was very impressed. Guys were friendly and the gentleman came out immediately to help with my trailer. I needed an inspection, he was quick and thorough. When he was finished he helped another gentleman with a hitch problem and didn't even charge him...I told them I would most certainly return!

They were fair and honest told me I did not need trailer brakes unless it was 7 8000 lb I would recommend them as a fair place to do business

Trust me when I tell you, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. I had them put on a hitch and brake controller on our van to pull a camper. Hitch was fine, 6 bolts to the frame. Done. The brake controller, not good, not good at all. When I got it home the first thing I noticed was they wired the whole thing with 16 gauge wire, and used a 10 amp fuse for the brakes. The installation instructions called for 10 gauge wire, and a 30 amp fuse. I called, took it back, they assured me that they would fix it. When I went to pick it up, the guy that wired it must have been the guy that helped me at the counter. He was rude and treated me like I didn't know what I was talking about. I've been an electrician for 28 years. I guarantee you I've forgot more than that 10 dollar an hour clown ever knew. The only reason I didn't do it myself was we bought the diesel van, and the camper at the same time and I needed it done quickly so I could pick up the camper. When I got it back home the second time, all they did was run one piece of 10 gauge wire from the brake controller to the seven pin plug. All the rest of the wiring was still 16 gauge. Everything else was still the same, still wrong, not safe. At this point I told my wife, I'm not giving these clowns a third wack at it, I'll fix it myself. I watched a couple of Etrailer youtube videos, bought all knew part , and redid it today. It was only six months old, and I ripped all $350 worth of mickey mouse junk they did out including the cheap $40 curt brake controller. I would have considered reusing it , but they cut the plug off of it, and hard wired it in so you couldn't take it out of the vehicle when not being used. Why??? All in all, wiring wrong, installation sloppy, don't waste your money.

Decent hitch installation, but the wiring was a joke. Completely amateur. Jack points on the frame of a truck are not valid tie down points for a wiring harness you clowns. My truck is reliable but I still have to jack it up occasionally and don't want to sever my brake controller lines doing so.

Had a very difficult hitch project on a luxury SUV (in order to do one project, there are nine other things to do type of deal). These guys figured it out and got the job done for a very reasonable price and no complaints. It took some time due to the complexity of my vehicle, but Ashland Hitch finished the same day. Hitch has held strong over state to state travel, carrying heavy weight, and all types of weather for over three years now with no issues, which says a lot about their installation. Thanks to Ashland Hitch...you are highly recommended by me.

Wow. Do NOT go here. I left my trailer to have it inspected and called the next morning to talk to them. Turns out that they don't do trailer inspections, but said that they could do a safety check and would give me the name of a place down the road that did inspections. So I went ahead with the safety check. I told them that I'd need to pick it up by the end of the week, and asked them to call before they did any repairs. The end of the week came and I hand't heard from them so I called and they hadn't even started looking at it. I told them that I needed to come pick it up that evening, and could they please fit it in. They told me that they couldn't just bump me to the front of the line, but if I could come at closing time, they might have a chance to look at it. When I got there they said that they had completed the safety check and charged me $88. They told me that my bearings were so bad that they didn't just need to be repacked - they needed to be replaced. They told me that they could do this for about $250. This sounded very fishy to me so I took the trailer to another place to get it checked out, and it was clear that Ashland Hitch hadn't even LOOKED at the bearings - the seals were all still old and unbroken. So Ashland Hitch charged me $88 to let the trailer sit on their lot for a week. Great.

This company and the people who work here absolutely saved our tour and helped us in a way that we could never show enough appreciation for. I'm in a touring band from Pittsburgh Pa called Children Of October out with our friends in a band called Vagora from Rhode Island. Our wheel bearing blew out on our trailer that was carrying all of our equipment and completely destroyed the hub that holds the wheel on and ruined the axle. We have a off-brand trailer that you cannot find parts for. We were completely stranded in a strange city far away from home at the beggining of a 3 week tour, and we were just about flat broke and could not afford to buy a new trailer and did not have the ability to order parts. It was either get this trailer fixed, or we go home and ditch our brand new trailer with no way to get it home. Long story short, we didn't have tools, and could not fix the axle. By a miracle stroke of luck a Gas station told us about a trailer repair shop down the road. We got there at 5pm on a saturday. they were just about closing up and we came walking in, looking like hoodlums and in the need of a time consuming trailer repair. Everyone who worked there were very friendly, and really showed concern for our problem. They absolutely bent over backwards to try and find a solution to help us out. We were very desperate and had no where else to turn. They absolutely made us feel at home and everyone who worked there pitched in to figure it out. I wish i could remember the gentleman's name who did the repairs, but he was able to get everything together with parts they had at the shop. And stayed AFTER HOURS to ensure that it was safe to drive and make sure it worked correctly. They also did the best they could to make it VERY affordable for 6 broke guys out on the road!!! They made a catastrophically expensive problem unbelievably cheap for us to pay for. They could have easily charged us a LOT more money for the time and work they put into our trailer. All of us at Children Of October and Vagora would like to sincerely thank and give massive amounts of appreciation to Ashland Hitch and the all the guys who work there!!! YOU GUYS SAVED OUR TOUR!! and we couldn't have done it without your help! THANK YOU!
