Absolutely gorgeous. The walk isn't that bad. They keep you moving but can pause to take pictures. The lighting enhanses the experience.

It was super fun and had a very knowledgeable guide(and it was his THIRD day working there! 🙌🏼). Minus one star for the most rude photo people I have EVER met at an establishment. They give you photos to look at with a QR code and then accuse you of taking a photo of the photo below the photo ON THE SAME/ front of the PHOTO SHEET. Bizarre experience at the photo counter. Honestly, the woman should be fired for her actions and I’d NEVER say that about someone making money for their family. This gal has got to go.

To see this in real time you may go to Ruby falls close to Chattanooga TN. You go down 260 ft by elevator then walk about 2/5s mile to the falls and about the same distance back as there are several routes, ( a little under a mile round trip )which is then about 1150 feet under ground at the falls as the the mountain goes up above as we walk in , the walk in and back out is about flat , it has a few steps up and down but is an easy walk. Then they take you up again with elevator a 2 minute ride. The have a tour guide going with you. Approx $30.00 per person. It's is worth the hike. Make sure to use restroom before going down elevator. It is nice and cool year around under rock.

Excellent adventure and the sceneryis AMAZING! Parking is fee. It was so beautiful! This is a guided tour, but lookout mountain is not.

This was a neat experience for my husband & I to do together. We were lucky to get a group that didn’t have many children which was nice cause it didn’t feel like a field trip. We did the regular tour so it was fast paced maybe 2 hours at most but I think there’s a tour for more time if you wanted. Ray was our tour guide & his humor was unmatched. My husband & I were up front close to the guide so we didn’t miss any of his funny comments! Thanks for the fun Ray, aka papa Smurf!

I was just a little let down by the cave system. We have been to caves in Pennsylvania, Texas and New Mexico this just didn't match up. The main attraction here is the underground waterfall, I just didn't like the way they lit it up in red and blues, and it made it very awkward to take pictures of. For the tour we spent more time standing against the wall waiting for other groups to go by.

Wow how cool is this place! Our guide was super knowledgeable and the cave and waterfall were amazing. It is $30US for the regular tour and they have different tours available as well. There's a restaurant in the castle with a pretty nice menu. Definitely a must see if you're in the area.

We had a fun visit to Ruby Falls, and the waterfall itself was spectacular. It’s best to go within the first hour of opening to avoid crowds. Tickets are timed, so it’s smart to book in advance — you may not get tickets if you just show up. The cave passages are narrow, and multiple groups move through at once, so visiting later in the day means more waiting for others to pass. You take an elevator down about 1,000 feet into the cave. There’s a restroom at the entrance, but once you go down the elevator there aren’t any, so it’s worth stopping beforehand. The staff manages the flow well, but some waiting is unavoidable. Time at the waterfall is fixed — the lights and music come on for a few minutes for photos, then turn off as a cue to leave. It’s absolutely worth seeing, but it’s a timed experience. You move with your group and finish in about an hour, so it’s not a place where you can linger at your own pace.

Went during the off season (Jan) for a 9am ticket and was in a small group of just 6 people. Our tour guide Russle was AMAZING!! We got so lucky to have him and he deserves his status as senior tour guide and certified trainer. The tour was FANTASTIC, cave and waterfall were beautiful, and the gift shop had some wonderful treasures in it. My service dog and I felt welcomed from the moment we walked in and I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience to start my day.

This is a really beautiful place to visit if you are in the Chattanooga area!! There is a little hike to the falls which is totally worth it! The rock formations along the way are beautiful as well! The falls are just amazing!! They also have a nice gift shop there where you can pick up souvenirs.

Stopped by the Ruby falls while we were passing through Tennessee heading to Louisiana. We loved it! Kids loved the waterfall. Although it is a bit of a walk to get to the waterfall our guide made it eventful and had some good jokes along the way. The waterfall at the end made it all worth the journey through the caves to see the final view. Highly recommend!

It was a beautiful day. The atmosphere in the cave was wonderful and the stuff was great 😃. They provided a guided tour and explained each single natural events in Roby Falls. The fall itself was astonishing and the creative led show makes it more attractive. The gift shop and the food shop was a nice touch.

How incredible the story is behind this discovery. Love seemed to push this to the surface. A man's love for his gal and a determination to see what happens next. So amazing with sights and sounds. At 260' below the surface, you get a short glimpse into the wonder of our "Blue Orb ". It's a moderate walk for people with disabilties, " I know, I am one". The different geological occurances and shapes make you feel small but, so excited to be there. The final cresendo of the actual falls, with the special lighting. So awesome !! Take the family, be amazed and get some delicious snacks. Be sure to say "Hello" to Stephen. 😎 Our favorite tour guide. Be sure to say "Bien le bonjour !"

Ruby falls was amazing. I loved the whole experience. The team there was awesome and we loved our tour guide, Lucas. Lucas deserves a raise by the way. The history of everything was really cool. The walk through the passages was awesome as well as the waterfall itself. Don't forget to go up the tower before you leave amazing views of Chattanooga and the surrounding area.

MUST PURCHASE TICKETS IN ADVANCE! At least 2hrs prior so you don’t have to wait so long. We arrived at 2pm in a weekend and the place was packed. We were on a 2 hr wait time before we were called to start the tour. 1. You take a elevator down 200+ ft down 2. You’re literally inside the mountain caves, which is ilimitados and well ventilated. 3. Walking from start to arrive at actual waterfall is 45min long. 4. A tour guide will take a small group and will walk you through and show you small stops explaining. 5. Remember There is no other exit but through same elevator you came in so you must walk back and new party passes by you . Not going to lie if you’re not ok with being in closed space this is not for you, but the ventilation was great and sight was beautiful well worth it to see the waterfall at the end.

Beautiful experience! Would highly recommend. Didn't feel like we walked for 90 min. The fall is impressive and beautiful. First-time at Ruby Falls.

Five stars for overall experience, but maybe some things to know: 1) If planning to go to Rock City after, note that the tour is over an hour. Allow 30-45 minutes in between the end of the falls tour and Rock City. - Get there early for pictures and to see the lookout 2) The cave is stunning and the story behind it all is amazing. That said, it's a cave, so it's cramped in some spots, there is no air conditioning, and you are not the only tour down there. Use that info as needed. 3) These things are in the FAQ section, but wear comfy/sturdy shoes. It can be slippery in parts 4) Buy tickets days in advance! Don't wait until the day before!

The cave is cool and that waterfall is very beautiful but the size of the tour groups are too large. It’s difficult to hear the guide due to the amount of people and what should be a 30 minute tour took almost an hour and half. It felt very commercialized compared to other cane tours I have taken. They do offer a later lantern tour that sounded like it would have been more fun and less crowded than the main tour we took. The guide did a good job of explaining things and was very friendly

The falls are beautiful but getting to them is a test in patience. They herd hundreds of people at a time theough tunnels that are 2-4 ft wide. Incoming groups have to set up against walls so the outgoing groups can pass. Its under a mile round trip but takes almost 2 hours due to how they move people in and out. It really is a shame because it could be so much better.

Worth a visit. Lot of history behind the discovery of falls. Guided tour was helpful. Not long wait times. It's a long walk in the narrow cave to get to the falls but it's worth it. Restaurant, restrooms are available, ample parking on site.

I recently visited Ruby Falls, and it was such an amazing experience! The cave scenery is absolutely gorgeous — every turn has stunning rock formations that look like animals and other unique shapes carved by nature over time. The highlight, of course, is the huge underground waterfall — it’s breathtaking and feels almost magical when the lights shine on it. Our tour guide made the trip even better with funny jokes and interesting stories about the cave’s history. After the tour, I tried the food they sell there, and it was surprisingly good! Overall, Ruby Falls is definitely a place everyone should visit — beautiful, fun, and unforgettable.

Absolutely GORGEOUS! Loved the experience! HOWEVER! I did not get up to the railing to see the actual waterfall, because they shut the lights off! I was told we would have a 1 min warning. Never heard it. So I helped a few couples take some pictures since I thought I had time. 😭 I never got to see it up close before they turned the lights out. Very disappointed 😔

Our tour guide Jayde was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the falls and friendly. The tour is amazing and the waterfall at the end is indescribable with words. Make sure you don't miss out on the lookout tower as well. The parking lot is super easy to navigate. I would highly recommend checking this place out. Truly unique experience.

Highly recommend. I wasn't sure I could keep up with the tour but I took a hiking stick to help with balance. With my husband's help and our fabulous tour guide Gwen I made the tour just fine. Everyone at Ruby Falls was fantastic!!

Interesting, but not my favorite Cavern experience. It was about an hour long, but it felt like about a quarter of that time was stopping and letting another group pass by going in the opposite direction. So, it was slow going. Not many formations or interesting things to see besides the waterfall. Go early else parking can be a bit more difficult. Overall, glad I went because it is unique.

Other then getting squeezed into the elevator tighter than a can of sardines had a really great tour. Peter was out guide and he was great. Informative and hilarious. Kept the tour fun, lively and engaging. Didn't feel that it took too long. I wish had more time to look around but I understand the timing to keep everyone going. The waterfall was better then I suspected it would. Pictures really don't do it justice. Would return. Ticket prices could be lower but not too crazy.

Absolutely breathtaking! Russel was an amazing tour guide and I am thrilled to now be one of his Renegades :) The sites that are seen are beyond words and the story behind the discovery of the fall is astounding! I cannot fathom anything more exemplary of God's masterpiece than walking through this cave.

I visited Ruby Falls and it was such a cool experience! The cave walk was interesting, and the waterfall at the end was absolutely beautiful. The lighting made it look magical. It’s a bit of a hike through the cave, but totally worth it once you see the falls. Definitely recommend checking it out!

This was so much fun! We didn't know that you had to do the tour to see the waterfall. It starts out a little slow, but it definitely gets better. There's a lot of cool rock formations! Our tour guide was just OK, unfortunately, she was very scripted. We did pass another tour guide that seemed extremely charismatic. So I think it's kind of a crapshoot on the tour guide Experience... that being sad we still had a good time.

My son loved the tour. I liked the lighting. Multiple times you have to squeeze to the side to let another group by. It was ok but not preferred. Prior to this experience, we’ve only gone to Mammoth Cave. It’s MUCH bigger with many more tours and size limits, so that set our expectations. Plus, we only have kids under 12, so there is only one tour option here. Food looked good although we didn’t have any. Parking is really tight. Although the place was packed, we still parked at a reasonable distance. I certainly recommend this. We booked the day before with still plenty of times left. We had a fun time!
