The Recycle Center is for Hamilton County Residents even though the gentleman who was working there did not ask us if we lived in Hamilton County. It is a long single lane entrance with dumpsters all along the left side. You drive in and unload your products and place them in the containers clearly market for what you want to recycle. One way in and one way out. Simple as that!
It was really easy to drop off my card board. The workers there are wonderful (Especially Amy). Very helpful and much less daunting than I originally thought it would be. 10/10 will come back.
I am thankful to the lady employee who informed me today "Georgia residents are breaking the law when they dump here". I lived in the Tyner area for years and had been accustomed to bringing recyclables here for a long. time The people were always helpful. While I still work in Hamilton County, I have moved my residence just over the state line to Georgia. I honestly didn't realize it was illegal for me to come here. It does make sense it is only for Hamilton County residents, but I do wish it was better posted on the website and signage at this facility so that people who work in Hamilton County but live in Georgia will know it is illegal to bring recyclables here if GA resident. Thanks
Great option for recycling! I drive 20 min to this recycling center since I don’t have the option for a curbside bin. It’s a simple drop off station. All recycling is separated by material. There is always someone there to help if you need it.
