This shop is knowledgeable and honest. They were able to fix an issue on my JGC that the dealership put a band aid on (causing more issues). As someone who just wants the issue fixed to preserve the longevity of my vehicle I appreciate their attention to detail. Fully recommend this location.

Don't come here, they will rob you and damage your vehicle further on ots way out. After being forced to drop my van off there they tried hustling me for at least two grand on things that I can do myself like changing spark plugs, I told him I only wanted my fuel pump changed out, and when I got it back there were several more problems wrong with the car including warning lights that I've never seen before and noises I've never heard before. This vehicle does not perform as well as it used to and all I needed was a fuel pump change out.

Best shop in Red Bank. I’ve tried most of them in the area and these guys always treat me right. Fair prices, work typically gets done quickly, and they shoot you straight with what’s going on with your vehicle. Extremely friendly folks. I’ll continue to give this location my business as long as I live here, no questions asked

July 2024-2016 Honda pilot had a P0430 code come up. Was charged $2100 to replace catalytic converter. Told them to change fuel injectors when I brought it in just to make sure that wasn’t part of the problem. They did not do this, nor was I given a reason as to why they did not do what I asked. Fast forward 6months , have had the code come back and it has been back to their shop 3 times. The last time was told that Honda had an update that needed to be done to the vehicle and Michael did tell me that Honda would be able to do the update up to 150k miles under warranty. Pilot currently has 142k miles, I feel work done( catalytic converter change) to the vehicle was unnecessary and easy for them to charge me without really getting to the root cause of the problem. Fuel injectors. Took vehicle to Honda and fuel injectors are on back order due to High demand of the part. Pilot also had P219 code that I cleared and told Michael about. Which would indicate fuel injector replacement also. So I feel unnecessary work was done to my vehicle just so they could get paid. And I still currently have P0430 and it probably won’t go away until the fuel injectors get installed. 11/5/24 update. After changing the fuel injectors and update from Honda, vehicle is running like new.

I had a great experience using Maxi! Their prices were very fair and affordable considering I am a college student. The communication is top notch and is the main reason I will keep using them. They constantly kept me updated when my car broke down and stayed in communications with me through every step which is great when your parents are hours away and you have never dealt with a situation like this before. They got my car back up and running in no time and I appreciate this place so much!

Hats off to John, Michael, and the entire crew. Please read this story. Long but packed full of information. My 2002 Ford truck stopped running after driving 20 feet leaving work. I thought the starter could have locked up. Had it towed to my house. I know how to work on vehicles and have built engines before. Dropped the dust cover on the transmission and did not see any damage to the flywheel nor any metal debris. Now think the engine locked up due the the noise it made when it stopped. Called Marshall Mize Ford and asked if they could get a motor and the cost. They said yes and gave me a price. Had it towed to them to work on the truck. Paid them to check for any other reasons the truck may not be running. They called a few days later and said engine was for sure locked up, but they could not get a motor for my truck. Said to come get my truck. Called Maxi and they said they could fix my truck. By the way I checked with Ford Parts and they actually had the e line on the shelf for my truck. Think Mise priced too low and it was their way out of doing the job saying they could not get a motor. Told John, Mise said engine locked up. I ordered a rebuilt motor in to replace my bad engine. Asked John to make sure the motor was bad. He removed the starter and found it to be locked in the start position. He installed a new starter and the engine started and ran with no problem. Now John could have just installed the new engine and never told me about the starter. He saved me thousands. It does not stop here. Started using my backup work truck. Brakes locked up on it. Had to get it fixed fast a d took to Budget Brakes in Hixson. Was supposed to only take one day. Ended up taking a week. Drove the truck a few days, and the front wheel almost came off going up Signal Mountain. They had not tightened the nut to hold the hub to the spindle correctly, which also caused three lug nut to brake. Had it towed back to Budget Brakes and they had to redo the front brakes. Asked them to also check the rear brakes and make sure the rear brakes were installed correctly. (On the brake job I had everything possible replaced including wheel bearings.) They said rear brakes were fine. I told them the new rear brakes had been smelling hot. Got truck back. Next the truck started hopping going down the road. When I picked up my Ford from Maxi I left my backup truck to have other work done. Told them about the brake issues from Budget, and had them check all the brakes. They found the rear brakes to not be adjusted correctly. Being too tight was the reason for the hot smell. Due to the bad adjustment the new brake drums over heated a d warped. This was causing the hopping. John and the crew fixed all my problems that other shops messed up or diagnosed incorrectly. I give them an A++++ rating. Now both trucks are ready for service when I need them.

I was about a mile away when I heard a big thump and a horrible noise coming from my car. I pulled over and called Maxi and explained the issue. They knew exactly what I was talking about over the phone and when I got over there, they had me in and out and all fixed up in less than 10 min! And they didn’t charge me! Super friendly and excellent work. Thank you!

Excellent first time experience! I had a sudden break down near by and went there for help. They were clear and up front about cost, time and problem after taking a look. Good price and it was ready by morning. 2 year/24,000 miles warranty. I'm very impressed!

I had a really bad day and hit a curb and busted my tire. My car was towed to the Maxi Auto Service in Redbank. Michael and all the guys who work there were absolutely fantastic. Their prices were reasonable and the service was just phenomenal. Even though I live in Cleveland, I would go back there again. Thanks guys for making a bad day so much better!

Highly recommend. Honest and helpful. Car had a part with lifetime warranty that failed. I purchased the part in another state and installed myself. Michael processed the warranty swap with the parts store with no issues and just charged labor. Unless I bought the part from them, most places would probably not go the extra mile to process the warranty so they could instead sell me the part at a markup. Also, Michael squeezed me in the same day I called and got the new part and the repair done before the day was up! All this for a first time customer! Super easy to deal with, pleasant, honest, and quality work.

It truly pains me to leave a negative review. I debated this for a while because I am also a small business owner. However, I think it is important for future customers to hear experiences. We took my husband’s truck here in November because the truck battery kept draining fast. They kept it for over a month. Finally telling us that they couldn’t figure it out and to come pick it up free of charge. After picking it up we unpleasantly learned that our backup camera no longer worked and neither did our heating or air. When we took it back they claimed it was already like that and it wasn’t anything they did. However, if this was true we would have asked them to also look into those issues as well. I could have let this all go but it was denying that the new issues were caused by them. They backed up the truck when it arrived so they knew the camera worked when it got there. We all make mistakes it’s just about owning up to it. Now our truck is at the dealership service station and we’ve been quoted $1,500 to fix the issue that wasn’t an issue until this business touched our truck. We also have been unable to have our second vehicle for months now.

These guys were absolutely FANTASTIC! My jeep wrangler transmission went out. These guys were able to swap it out pretty quickly and kept me posted every step of the way. John and Michael helped me out, John is 5 stars in customer service!!! Originally quoted me on a transmission flush before I found out it was toast. This was my family's personal choice for brakes , and alignment. They perform a lot of other services as well. They were highly recommended to us by a family friend. I don't know if you guys have been here before ? The lot is always full. It's as close to the road, without been in the road. This along should inform you they are staying busy. The management team greets you as you enter the shop. They will inform you of the estimated wait time. They perform an engine diagnostic, and will get back with you. This is a detailed history, even the car fax is documented. They always give an estimated dollar amount money 💰. This way you guys will know what how much it will cost. No pressure to purchase. If your 🚗 presents a dangerous situation affecting driving you will have to keep it parked. Some of you guys might get this. This could set up some liability. They have to protect themselves as well as you guys. Shout-out 🗣️. Thanks. This may explain as to why there are a lot extra cars 🚗 on the lot. They continue to perform good services. My cars have been sold for more money, because of their work. I got more offers in terms of money for my cars. I did have two 🚗 they completed work on. I went in to get a tire alignment a few months back after getting new tires from Walmart, was charged 85$ for full alignment, after a few months though I noticed that my tires were pretty worn down, and needed to be replaced while the back tires were fine. I won't be coming back here for any work regarding my car after having to replace my two front tires in less than a year.

My daughter brought her car in thinking she was possibly having transmission problems. Michael would not take her warranty information and told her he would get it out of her glove box. He claimed he forgot! They told my daughter she needed a new transmission. And tried to sell her a special expensive transmission claiming the car required it. They quoted her five thousand dollars worth of work. Of course a second opinion was warranted and we thought given the severity of what we were told, the dealer was the beat option. The dealer found no problems after driving the car for a length of time and started that per the Fairfax she did not need a “special” transmission. This garage saw a young girl that didn't know cars and tries to take advantage of her! I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy! Michael is horrible for what he did, and if this is the type of person this garage hires then I would think better of taking your precious transportation to them, or spending your hard earned money here.

I never write reviews but I will make an exception for Maxi Auto because my experience has been phenomenal. I’ve taken my car in a couple of times now and I have been absolutely impressed with the level of professionalism and responsiveness that you normally do not receive at most service centers. John has especially been outstanding with his level of communication and customer service. Most recently I had a pretty big issue with my vehicle that needed an expert to fix. My dealership’s service center was scheduling out over 2 weeks. Maxi got me in the next day and found the problem and a solution that same day. I should have my car back within a few days (waiting on a part) whereas my dealer would’ve still had it parked, waiting to be looked at. Maxi Auto is quick, honest and fair when it comes to their work and I can’t recommend them enough!

Had a pipe rust through on my exhaust and stopped by three places in the local area to see if I couldn't get it fixed. Dominick and John at Maxi took a quick look at it and said the repair was fairly simple. They were extremely busy, but took me in and repaired my car on the spot at an incredibly fair price. Great, friendly customer service. Just moved to Chattanooga, but definitely found my local auto shop. Thanks guys!

Maxi Auto in Red Bank, TN is absolutely the best place I've ever found for any kind of car repair. I've been using them for at least 20 years. I can't say enough good things about Dominic. For one, I trust him, and I don't trust many. He's never steered me wrong and they do excellent work and are less expensive than most repair shops. You can't go wrong taking your car there. The only disadvantage is they're extremely busy but believe me, it's worth the wait.

I ran over a sharp object which punctured my tire while traveling in Red Bank on Dayton Blvd. The air was coming out quickly so I pulled into the first auto store I came to. The manager and mechanic quickly attended to the tire even though they were busy. They were able to patch up the hole and I was on my way. I was impressed with the attention and service and would feel comfortable taking my car there in the future.

I have been coming here for at least 15 years. Dominick and Randy are as honest as it gets. I recently had an emissions issue that was difficult to resolve. I brought my truck in and they replaced a part. That didn't fix it. I brought it in 8 more times over the course of a month and a half. They helped me resolve the issue and I wasn’t charged another dime. People like these make the world a better place.

Came in with a estimate from another shop.and they beat the price of the other shop and did a wonderful job repairing my SUV. They are honest and my SUV didn't even have any grease on it when I picked it up. I highly recommend this place. They have gained a new customer for life! I live in central Florida and my son attends UT Chat. He needed some immediate muffler repairs on his truck and as a college kid, he was clueless who to take it to. I found Maxi on the web and read excellent review after review so I sent my son in. I called ahead and spoke with Steve who was extremely kind and very professional.
