I was very fortunate that I did my physical therapy At Burke Rehabilitation in Ridgehill,Yonkers.
I had an excellent physical therapist who had a positive disposition and so caring.She was focused on making each treatment successful every time.She makes you understand how each exercise is helping your body. I call it my happy place because from the time you enter the facility, you are welcomed warmly.
From the pre- evaluation to post evaluation of my case it was a great leap from using a cane to cane free , from faltering steps to confident walking, from feeling some pain to being pain free.,
I give this facility a rating of 10.
My left arm has damaged nerves & no rotator cuff. After PT I’m able to lift my arm to wash my face & curl my hair a bit with the curling iron. That is a big deal!!
Excellent care for my mom. In Burke hospital and then after at outpatient at Ridge Hill. Victor Gondor was her therapist and made such a difference with my mom’s recovery. We are very thankful for his knowledge, patience, kind and humble demeanor. He’s the best!
I don’t know why Chloe Burkett wrote the review she did on Marielle, I guess she really doesn’t know her! I have been going to Marielle for about 10 year and I don’t know anyone more compassionate and caring as she is. I am a 3 time cancer survivor not only has Marielle helped me with my arm lymphedema, which was really bad, she is so supportive. I always leave the place feeling so much better. There should be more people like her. She’s the Best!!
Have never had a worse experience with a medical "professional."
-Marielle was the single worst medical professional I have ever encountered. I actually don't think she introduced herself and only found her name from the other review. She was extremely condescending and was eager to let me know why everything was my fault and that I caused my own issues. While her tone was under a guise of being educational, she had NO sympathy for my symptoms, concerns, and overall wellness. Asked questions but did not care about the response once she jumped to her conclusion.
- Waitlist was originally "a few weeks" but "under a month" and turned out to be three months.
- I was referred to Harrison location, and they moved me to Yonkers location without mentioning until appointment confirmation (Armonk is closer for CT residents...)
- The parking is a zoo and not super convenient to the facility.
This place is horrible. They don't care about the patients at all. I am postpartum and was treated awful by the pelvic floor Physical Therapist Mariellle. I was 10 mins late to my first appointment and had all my following appointments cancelled after making them 2 weeks ahead of time. I wasn't even told that they would be cancelled. The therapist gets paid regardless of me showing up. She claimed I disrupted her whole schedule but I was never treated that day since I was late, so I don't see how that could've disrupted her schedule. As a postpartum mom I am shocked by the treatment of the staff there they really have no compassion for those in pain. Rachel and Faith at the front desk were both uncompassionate for my pain or condition. We are in the midst of the holiday season so they really screwed me over bc finding someone else is basically impossible. I wouldn't recommend this practice to any new mothers. They are NOT empathetic and lack understanding.
Alana is the best. 3 operations in 4 years has been a challenge. The dedication to the patient is appreciated and each time, I made a road back to recovery. I love Burke and Alana along with her colleagues are amazing physical therapists! I highly recommend their services.
I have always had a very positive experience at this facility. Therapists are excellent, professional, flexible, friendly and very competent. I am extremely satisfied.
Burke Rehab & Dr. Brad Harrington
I suffer from multiple spine/back issues. The pain has been debilitating. Three prominent neurosurgeons only offered major surgery to correct my issues. Surgery is not an option for me.
Then I found Dr. Brad Harrington of Burke Rehabilitation, whose insight and knowledge has identified and located the root of this constant pain.
Dr. Brad Harrington is the only Physical Therapist who has managed to identify the exact location of the cause of my extreme discomfort.
Dr. Harrington devised a treatment plan to address and strengthen the supporting peripheral & intrinsic muscles in order to establish a foundation of support. Further, he also deploys a non-surgical technique he identified as the Maitland Technique. (I never heard of this before Dr. Harrington at Burke Rehab introduced this innovative method of physical therapy).
Dr. Harrington is always professional, courteous and knowledgeable in treating my unique challenges. He is the only Doctor or Physical Therapist, who not only listened to me, but has heard my complaints, did research on my condition, identified the origin of the dispersed pain, and then tailored a successful rehabilitation plan.
Thank you to Burke Rehab and Dr. Harrington for offering a non-invasive rehab plan that addresses my unique structural problems. I wholeheartedly recommend Burke Rehab as they have greatly improved my quality of life.
