What clients say about Zaborski Emporium in East Kingston (NY)

Words cannot explain the antiques that are in this place. If it's an antique and it was made, you probably find one here. You could spend a week looking through this place and not see everything that's there. I must see when in Kingston..

One of the finest selections of quality architectural salvage and antiques in all of upstate NY and New England. Looking for vintage or antique bathroom fixtures, vanities, sinks, toilets, and eclectic tubs?—start here! Cast iron, porcelain, marble— you name it. Next are two floors of windows and doors of every kind and size — while between it all are piles and shelves of vintage and antique items from milk glass to law office chairs to large store counters. Trash or Treasure? —you decide. We found plenty of treasure, and at fair prices. It’s like Brimfield meets an episode of Home Town house restoration. Yes please and thank you.

I’ve never seen a store like this filled to the brim with useful junk. I mean that in the best possible sense.

Love this place! It is a treasure trove of all sorts of cool old stuff! Please note it is not open on Sundays, though! Despite what Google says!

The owners never showed up to open on a Sunday. There was no sign posted and we waited in the hot sun with other people for an hour until we gave up and left.

I had an appointment around the corner but I was early so I decided to check out Zaborski’s Emporium. Long story short, you really have to go yourself to get a good sense of the place. If you do want to shop, I think one of two strategies will work: either know exactly what you’re looking for and there is a very good chance they have it and the friendly folks in the front will know where to find it - or just wander around and you’ll be sure to find things you never knew you had to have. Enjoy!

Absolutely amazing massive collection of salvaged building parts. From drawer pulls to hinges to doors to tubs and so much more. Not sure how to find where any given item is located, but friendly vendor is helpful. We never heard back about an item we wanted priced. Too late now.

This antique store in Kingston is truly massive — four floors and over 33,000 square feet of inventory. I spent two hours exploring, hoping to discover something special, and while there’s no shortage of unique items, the space is so densely packed it’s hard to navigate or connect with individual pieces. Prices are on the higher end — even small tins and architectural fragments started around $45, with limited room for negotiation. Some of the pieces I asked about weren’t even for sale, which was disappointing. Staff felt a bit guarded and didn’t seem eager to share the stories behind the items. Worth a stop if you’re looking for a visual adventure, but not ideal for serious collectors hoping to make a find or a deal.

Wow!! An incredible eclectic mix of goodies! Four warehouse floors filled from floor to ceiling with everything you can imagine… from housewares, to lighting, to doors, to luggage, to plumbing… I could go on and on. The prices are a bit high, but everything seems to be negotiable and the salespeople are very quick to respond to any inquiries you may have about the merchandise. It took me a year to find this place, but I guarantee that now that I’ve discovered it, I will be back soon!!

Excellent collection of antiques and unique oddities. However customer service is atrocious! Exorbitant prices to the point that management seems to have no desire to actually sell any of their items or even engage in light haggling. Stear clear from Zaborski!

My best guess about this place is that it’s operated by hoarders who never want to part with any of the items in this warehouse. We saw some authentic garbage priced so high, you’d think you were on Mars. What a waste of time and potential.

5 stars as an antique/questionably vintage home demolition garbage museum, one star as a store. Prices verge on offensive, making it difficult to even enjoy the window shopping. I picked up a pair of thoroughly chipped ‘50s ceramic wall sconces and debated whether they merited $2.50 until I realized in fact they were priced at $250. Do they think they are a Sotheby’s warehouse? We’re talking piles of furnace grids priced at $75+ a pop, saucerless decaled teacups for $12. Curious to know what’s going on here!

If you are a treasure hunter like myself, you will love browsing here. The downside is that some spaces are so packed it is hard to see anything, and can be dangerous. There are sinks and tubs galore, so if you are looking to restore your historic bathroom, make sure you check this place out!

What a unique and impressive store! Surely a treasure cave over 3 floors. There was no heat so dress warm in winter. Absolutely love this place.

Terrific Architectural Salvage store! They had lots of lighting, hardware, plumbing fixtures, windows, doors, signs, tile and some furniture! Check them out for funky finds and hard to find interior elements or props!

This place is amazing! They seem to have everything. Artifacts hang from the ceilings and the walls. Things are piled everywhere. It’s like walking into my hoarder uncle‘s barn, when I was a kid. You never know what you will find and everything is unique! A must see in Kingston.

You know the saying "priced to sell"? Well, at Zaborski's it seems to be "priced to sit". Despite passing all the rusted radiators in the parking lot, we had high hopes and immediately saw a couple of items we were interested in when we walked in the door, but the prices were really high. Not only that, but as we ventured in, the place was dusty, dirty and cold. Spread over four floors, they clearly have good items mixed with the usual junk, but everything is heaped together and if you try to move things to get a closer look, you'll get pretty dirty. What a shame - this place has so much potential. If they could clear out one floor, get a good visual merchandiser to help with their displays, and set more reasonable prices, merchandise would start flying off the shelves.

Got this sweet soon to be coffee table. Steve is a great guy. They have everything you could think of. Update: I keep coming back. They have the best stuff here!

Four floors of awesome architectural salvage, vintage home & kitchen and every kind of unique and hard to find cabinet hardware...and a few thousand doors (bottom floor). New & awesome finds every time I go there ❤️ Great customer service 10/10

plan a day here - It's huge and amazing - wear your work clothes... The staff greeted us when we entered - though there is no staff on the show floors. But when leaving the staff did ask about our experience and if we were looking for specific items

A massive warehouse filled with authentic architectural salvage - from building details to doors and metal grates to kitchen sinks, chandeliers and old advertising signs

Devastating to drive 45 mins only to find it closed during open hours. Visiting and have had this place on my wishlist for some time. No note on the door, truly hope everything is ok. Looked amazing from the outside.

The coolest and most expansive antique store my wife and I have ever visited. Mr. & Mrs. Zaborski were lovely to talk to and very fair on their pricing. Loved our visit and would definitely return / recommend to others.

Cool place....if they don't have it, you don't need it! There are four very crowded floors of everything you could possible need or want. The owner and staff are incredibly accommodating. It was a fun afternoon. (Might want to make sure your tetanus shot is up-to-date! Haha)

The only place I've ever been that you can get a toilet, a dunkin donuts sign, and a traffic light all in one go. The building is NOT heated, so dress warm if you are visiting in the winter.

Astounding selection of vintage items in as-is condition. Wandering this huge multi-level warehouse is fun but daunting. Give yourself time as there is so much to see in this anti-showroom. Friendly staff will give direction or figure prices. I would not bring small kids or a large handbag to reduce risk of breaking something. Great if you are looking for photo or movie props.

This place is great! So much glorious junk to sift through! Piles of tools! Stacks of tubs! You could get lost for days here!
