I highly recommend Curry Subaru Kingston. Just bought a new WRX and they couldn't have made it any easier. Mike from Sales was fantastic. He intuitively understood any source of anxiety I might have had and was extremely supportive throughout. The model I wanted and could afford wasn't easy to get but I had it only a few days after initially contacting them. I'm beyond satisfied.

I had an appointment for 1:30 to get my state inspection and an oil change. It was snowing outside and I had a doctors appointment at 10:45 which I attended. Instead of going home I decided to see if the Curry staff could take me early. Sure enough Christine said they could get me in. I go into the waiting area get myself comfortable next thing I know Derik enters the room stating that the car is ready. What a great experience, thank you Curry Subaru

I’ve worked with Phil a few times and have always found him (and the whole dealership) to be very helpful, willing to look at all options to suit my car needs, explains everything patiently, and follow through with all the details is excellent. Went to trade in my car and was met with an offer below even KBB's "fair condition" market average. That ended up as a $4k difference in which the dealership's best compromise was an extra $500 and telling me to get a "buyout" on my warranty for my current vehicle to "make up some of the difference". Nissan doesn't even offer such a thing, and the warranty goes with the car on trade-in (as explained in Nissan's own words). I want to emphasize that the sales rep wasn't the issue. The way I understood things is that his boss gave him a value and refused to budge (or even come out of his office to speak with us). Unfortunately said boss either didn't want to make a sale that day, or doesn't bother to research what a fair market trade-in value is. Considering the entire exchange, I'm going to avoid this dealership entirely for the foreseeable future.

This was my first time at Curry Subaru and I went kicking and muttering the whole way. I was taught you NEVER go to the dealer because of the added expense. Well, I kinda had no choice -- I have a 2016 Outback which is famous for a bad battery system, "parasitic", they call it, which means the battery suddenly drains for no reason and leaves you with a dead car on a snowy day. I've replaced the battery every February since I've had the car. Curry put in another battery, with a guarantee for 3 years. We'll see. They also replaced burnt out bulbs and fixed the "always on" dashboard warning lightsthat other shops said were "dirty sensors" and too hard to fixed. Curry found they are still under warranty and fixed them for free! The staff is lovely, they definitely know their stuff, the final bill was $200 less than the estimate, and it's a fine place to spend your time. I think everyone likes working there, and you can tell. Shout out to Drake for smoothing the whole way. Thanks, Drake! Still, Imma say do NOT go to the dealer, unless they are Curry Subaru in Kingston and they have tons of reviews like this one. 😁

Ever person in that dealer from sales to finance to management and service is extremely knowledgeable on the product and eazy to work with. You can tell then all care about the customer experience.

Curry Subaru was easy to work with. I left the dealership I had purchased my previous cars from because they were inflexible. Curry did better on my trade in and were able to move on price to get me to a comfortable monthly payment. Michael on the sales team and Sal in the business office were professional and accommodating. Great experience overall.

Todd gets an A plus in customer service He was very helpful in every aspect of our purchase. Very understanding when we changed some of our decisions as we finalized the sale. He does not push for a sale and just wants his customers to get the right car for them

My salesperson, Todd, was excellent, and I’m happy with the car. However, the day we went to pick up the car we were taken to a separate office, had a pleasant conversation with the finance manager, and fell for a sales tactic to purchase an extended warranty. I fully accept responsibility for purchasing something I didn’t need. Where my opinion shifted was with Curry Subaru’s management. I sent a formal email the same day I purchased the car requesting cancellation and a refund of the warranty, per the contract. Despite multiple follow-ups to Finance and management, I received no acknowledgment from them for nearly 2 months. When I finally received a response, it was terse and unempathetic. They also sent me a check for $86 out of the blue, I have no idea why, so I'm hesitant to cash it. A simple confirmation from Finance after my first email would have gone a long way. This experience suggests an operational breakdown in customer service and a lack of empathy once the sale is complete. Because of this, I’m hesitant to recommend the dealership or return for service.

I was so pleased to discover he was still with the sales team at Subaru in Kingston as he is a pleasure to work with, honest, professional, responsive and compassionate. We have bought (5) five Subarus from this location and all from the same salesperson! (8 (eight) cars if you count the people we referred to him.) Phil Formica has been an excellent salesman - an absolute pleasure to work with. He goes out of his way to make car buying as easy as he can. He has found the cars we are looking for from as far away as Ohio, Georgia, and Pennsylvania . We have never had any problems with the service desk either - although with Subarus you rarely need service… They’ve always handled the recalls quickly and as effortlessly as they can for the customer. There’s a lounge available to wait for your service (recalls, oil change, etc.) with some amenities, but not so many that you wonder how much you’re being overcharged to pay for them all. We just bought our most recent car a few days ago, so won’t be back for a while. But, I hope that everything stays the way it is until then, because I don’t think they need to change a thing. I highly recommend Curry Subaru, and if you go, ask for Phil!

I had a an amazing experience at Curry Subaru with David! He was knowledgeable, patient, and never made the process feel rushed or stressful. David took the time to answer all of my questions, explain my options clearly, and made sure I felt comfortable and confident with my decision. Ever since Curry took over ownership from Colonial, I have had nothing but bad experiences in the service dept. Waits for an oil change can take up to three hours now, every time I come in for servicing. They charge for things over and above what you came in for and are unapologetic when you call them out on their errors. They will try to make stuff up just to make as much as they can on each visit. Their work is performed poorly and they really don't care much about you or your car which in my case was purchased through Colonial. And on top of that, they now nickel and dime you by charging a 2% fee for using a credit card. As a result, I will never service my car or buy a new one from this dealership ever again and I hope I can dissuade at least one person from going there.

Sat down with Mike as soon as I walked in to Curry. After asking me a number of questions about what I was looking for, I was on the road testing pre-owned cars. From there the process was both easy and pleasurable. From Mike on, everyone was gracious, personable, and radiated trustworthiness. Good selections, reasonable terms.

The car is awesome and my salesperson (Todd) was super accommodating. Loved the finance manager as well. The only issue I had was with Curry's deceptive ads online. They listed the car as having a $1250 dealership discount as well as offering 0% APR and I could not find any fine print that stated those two things were mutually exclusive. I was ultimately forced to choose the 0% finance rate over any dealer discount

We had a very positive experience at Curry Subaru Dealership in Kingston. Todd, our sales associate was genuine, helpful, eager to make us happy. In general, the entire staff of the dealership was amazing. We came to buy a used car and ended up buying a brand new one! We traded our older Subaru for a very fair price and got a great interest rate for financing the new one. Thank you, guys!

Customer service is excellent! We received routine phone calls and texts for updates on the service job. They offered us a loaner car if needed- that was a wonderful offer that fortunately we did not need. Our car was serviced perfectly and we feel very grateful for that. I highly recommend Curry Subaru! I’m back to Curry- my parents bought their cars from Curry starting in 1960’s, I bought my first car in 1982. Thank you Curry 🎉

This dealership is wonderful. Curry, the new owner, has hired a new sales manager, sales people and finance manager. You really “feel” the Subaru love with this team. Great company, great cars (love my new Crosstrek hybrid), Mike, a great salesperson, and a great dealership. I can honestly say at 65, that it is the best experience that I have ever had buying a car. They seemed genuinely happy to make me happy.

Amazing service! I am from out of town 4 hours away and had an emergency repair issue (on a Friday) and my car was not drivable. Ellen was so kind and helpful. They gave me a loaner car at no charge and the service department prioritized my repair so I did not have to make a second trip to New York from Delaware to pick up my car. I am very thankful I found Curry Subaru! Highly recommend them.

He really took the time to listen to what I wanted, and I never once felt rushed or pressured into making a decision. Mike was also extremely knowledgeable he answered every question I had with honesty and detail, making sure I understood everything about the car, the financing, and the options available. He went above and beyond to take care of everything, from helping with my trade-in to getting all the paperwork ready so the process was quick and easy. What really stood out to me was how genuine and down-to-earth he was. He made me feel comfortable the entire time and even walked me through how the service process works so I’d know exactly what to expect when bringing my Subaru in for maintenance. It’s rare to find someone who’s not only great at what they do but truly cares about their customers. Mike made this one of the best car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. The dealership and everyone involved in helping me purchase a pre-owned vehicle were the best! They worked very hard on every detail to make the purchase as easy as they could. On day one when I came and looked at the vehicle I was interested in, I was treated like I was family. I would highly recommend Curry Subrau in Kingston, NY. Without boring everyone to tears, I’ll try to keep this short. I live near Utica- about a 2-2 1/2 hr drive away. My first visit to a dealer was horrible and I’ll leave that there. Looked into other dealers from Albany, Norwich and then Curry popped up. My job is insane right now, with extremely poor WiFi and never any time to actually call. Living so far away, I couldn’t just drop in either. Michael reached out to me after I submitted an on-line request for more info on a certain car. He was amazing! He was able to help me via texts, enough so, that I begged to take a day off from work to drive down with my husband to check out the car. Curry was amazing all the way around…no joking. I actually felt welcomed. I was given a fair deal without any of that crazy pressure. That means a lot to me. I received a tour of the dealership and service center which I’ve never had anyone do. When all the paperwork was done and my car ready to go, Michael gave my husband and I a “tour” of my new car. Who does that!! Apparently Curry does and I am so grateful. I learned quite a bit that I didn’t even know plus he answered any questions that we had. I wish we lived closer because I would want to bring my car back to them for any needed service. I cannot give them any higher marks and I will be passing their name around to anyone looking for a Subaru. I love my new car and I am so happy that I found Curry and that Michael was ok with dealing with an older, way too busy techie.

Hate shopping , especially for cars. Trusted David Smith at Curry Subaru Kingston who made it fast and painless. He went the extra mile to get me out the door in 2 days. 1 was transport from another dealer. Explained everything . Enjoyed my Forrester today ...learned wipers heat...weather was crazy today. Also got phone call and text through car that David Smith synced my phone for me. High tech for me! Very happy! Excellent service.
