First time back here in over a year after a very bad customer service experience with a rude employee. However this time the staff were very friendly and welcoming. My online order was ready to go when I arrived and was packaged up nicely. The employee asked if I wanted a cart to take the parts to the car, and loaded them onto the cart for me.
As I ordered brake parts, the employee even took the time to check that there wasn't anything that I forgot to order that I might need to get the job done, which was very much appreciated and noticed (grease, brake clean, etc).
The past experience is the only reason for 4/5, but will definitely be coming back after the most recent experience.
My battery completely died on a recent trip to Kingston. They were able to test the battery, get me a new one, and install it without a hitch. Really kind people and good service. Thanks so much for getting me out of a bind.
We went here to look for specific items for my grandson's first car.
The aisles were somewhat sloppy and in disarray.
They didn't carry what we were looking for, which were quality floor mats. All they had were the cheaply made ones, albeit at exorbitant prices.
Not a good experience.
It was a decent auto parts store. There only seemed to be one entrance that comes very quick if headed north on Albany Avenue . So it's easy to miss. Headed south, you may see Advance sooner, but need to cross two lanes of traffic to pull into the parking lot. So it is not the easiest place to get in and out of. Fortunately for this Advance, there are not many options close by. So that probably helps them.
There seems to be adequate parking with some parking in front as well as on the side. You probably could pull into the lot for the businesses next door if you miss the entrance. They may not be thrilled, but it's probably safer than trying to get over to the proper parking lot. You only have to cross a small patch of grass.
I parked in front, and it wasn't the cleanest place ever. But not totally filthy either. There was a nasty smell of trash coming from dumpsters outside the Advance on the other side of the building, between advance and the road for the next door business's.
The inside of this Advance seemed pretty much up to snuff. No things were not perfect. But without looking too close, things seemed somewhat organized and clean. I only stopped in for a quick item. So it wasn't a review I planned on doing.
I did this review only because I like to patronize small business's over big corporate. But in this case, the big corporate business is one of the few choices. Maybe the only choice close by. And although not so great before you get inside. Inside this Advance is a world that many folks will need and use. I didn't expect wonderful things. But they provide the things folks may need, in a decent environment.
Went with a friend to purchase an item that was needed & received fast & friendly service. Definitely will b going back if ever I need another item for my vehicle. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of vehicle items.

Went there because I couldn't get an appt at other garage car was not starting I was going to just buy a charger but they tested car for me it was only the battery they got me one and installed they were great thank you
I had a great experience here at this location recently buying a new starter for my mother's older civic the person working was friendly and helpful got me in and out with what I needed and knew his stuff. Makes a big difference when the people have a good attitude and act with professionalism and that's exactly what I was met with when I made my purchase here.
A guy named David or David is very rude and nasty when i called and hung the phone up on me, because I said auto zone had it cheaper he said maybe you should go there a hung the phone
I bought a pair of 1800 lb ratchet straps and the handle litterally broke off in the parking lot. They are the same weight rate as a pair I bought 3 years from the same store but quality was absolutely TRASH. They did swap them out for me but they did not have the 1800 lb straps without a plastic handle so I had to settle for a lighter set but better quality. Not very happy. Nextime I will stick to good ole Wal-Mart
Great place for auto parts if you go in Albany Avenue make sure you ask for kiko is one of the only people there besides Sue and Ronnie that know what they're doing
The manager or whoever with the long hair was so rude. Literally waited on line for 10 mins while another girl was on the phone and he helped another customer in front of me which was fine. But then as he finished with the customer, he received a phone call and instead of putting it on hold to take care of the customers waiting on line, he proceeds to take the phone call and help the customer on the phone. Yet here I am waiting still going on 20 mins.
Only getting four stars because every time I go there I have to wait in a long line to be waited on. They need more help and or one line for just check out while another line when you need help finding parts. Other then that they have always had what I needed to repair my cars
Went in to order a air filter and was told they had none on hand and would have to order it and that it would be they in a couple of days I told them sure no problem I paid left when I got home I looked at the recite and noticed they charged me for the delivery but never said anything about a deliver charge so I called to cancel it I was told sure but I would still be charged the $6 delivery charge and this is Sunday afternoon. My lesson never per-pay with these guys and check all charges before you pay. If you have to go here be careful because you may find yourself paying more then you need to.
The manager and one of the staff were AMAZING in helping us replace the bulbs in the Volvo S60, going above and beyond. We ended up needing a different part which had to be ordered. THEY ARE WONDERFUL HERE!
