Do not shop here the cashier is on the phone while she rings up your stuff and also I tried to purchase a sealed case of beer but she decided to open it up and tried to charge me for 4 six packs instead of a full case if I would have wanted 4 six packs I would have purchased 4 separately avoid going to this place at all cost they just lost me and my wife as a customer

i usually love this place, great prices, great options and the location is amazing for me, but… i stood outside today for 10 minutes after they posted they were open. several guests walked by me seeming disappointed and frustrated as well. it’s spring break weekend and i had to be on the road by 10:30 and this seemed like the best stop. i’m really dissatisfied with Buy Rite. they easily lost $100 in sales by not opening on time between me and the other guests who left.
Beware of dishonest practices. I was there three times and on all three occasions I was charged more for liqueur label indicated. The reluctant owner made adjustment but did not even apologize. It was obvious that he was well aware of the price tampering but that suited it him just fine.
Scammers and thieves. Placed an order through Uber Eats. They showed ordered and delivered but no order came. When we called the store they said they cancelled the order and never delivered it. They are just lying to everyone to steal their money. I will never be buying from this company again, especially since there are plenty of places to get alcohol.
Thais place has a huge selection of beers, as well as any other alcohol. The staff are super welcoming and extremely helpful if you need help finding anything. Prices are great.
This place has long been known as Bottle Co. Friendly staff. Good selection of beers. A while back they added the tap room and lifted up selections on draft. Good stuff.
I just called the store to find out if they sold non alcoholic wine. When the girl answered the phone she just simply stated "yeah" ... I was thrown off I'm like is this bottle co? She says "yeah" again very rudely. I asked her if they sold non alcoholic wine and she very rudely said no and then hung up. I honestly am still in shock. That is not the kind of customer service I expected from Bottle Co.
Incredibly rude. A guy who looked like the manager of the place, more specifically. He should try and remember that clients are guests, and there’s a polite way of saying things that you want to say without making the guest feel like they are school children being scolded.
I used to come here often, but now I’ll make the effort to go to Manhattan to but my wine.
This place use to be good until the short attandant/cashier was very RUDE. we were debating on what liquor to buy received a phone call on the group picking out the liquor. The attendant came up to us and said, "If you aren't going to buy anything in 30 mins then leave." Like who talks to their customers like that!!! So we left and bought liquor at Town Beverage Liquor Store instead, where the service was WAY BETTER. I am never stepping in here again! Treat your customers with respect next time!
Great prices and amazing service. The gentleman volunteered to put my Liquor In my car ... That was a very nice gesture. I will definitely continue going there.
I've been going to BottleCo. for about five-months now, since I've moved to North Bergen, NJ and I've never had an issue. The staff are all fair and very nice -- super easy to communicate with. It's always clean and very lively, with the music they play. There's even a bar built-in, with Beer Pong, Darts, Pool and other activities. Best part about BottleCo? The prices are easy on the pocket. Best liquor store around!
There is a cashier there by the of Alexa who seems to have an issue about having to take wine bottles out of your basket. She was verbal about it too. I told her to relax and l apologized.
I mentioned that l liked going there. Her response was so.....she seemed angry.
When putting my wine bottle into the bag she almost dropped it!! She was rude. I will never go there again. As a paying customer she made me feel humiliated and belittled. This Alexa definitely has a chip on her shoulder!!!!
Very disappointed! I walked in today inquiring about a large order for an event. The cashiers stated that these requests are handled by management or the owner. I definitely understood this and I told the cashier that I would call before coming in so I can be sure that I would speak to manager. I called later that afternoon and while speaking with manager I asked her general questions about my order and I felt that she was not providing all the information via phone so I offered to come and speak with her personally. I stated that I was only blocks away and would be there shortly (on 60th Street to be specific).
When I arrived I spoke with first cashier and explained that I had called and it sounded like he knew about our call and said the manager had actually stepped away to the bank as the bank was closing at 6. Still patient- I told cashier I would wait in car and he stated she should only be 10m because the bank was right there. I waited for 40m until I decided to leave without even saying a word to cashier.
The level of unprofessionalism! The manager knew my specific questions and as any experienced manager- If she needed to step away- she should have left the information I was requesting with someone else or the cashier seeing that I had waited over time he stated should have called her to get an ETA or offer answers to my questions so cashier can respond.
Needless to say- I will take my business elsewhere. After all beer/alcohol are sold everywhere. I’ll take my money where I am valued!
What a variety!!!! I absolutely love the variety of wines, spirits and beer. They always have something for my hubby's and my vastly differing tastes. There's even a little bar inside. Very cool concept.
As a loyal customer of over a year , buying over $100 dollars worth of craft beer every other week here, today was the last day that this company will receive my business.
What once was a bastion of a varying amount of different quality beers has slowly, but consistently become a shadow of its former offerings.
No one seems to know when anything will get delivered or restocked and every time I have inquired I have been met with dates that produce nothing.
5 entire fridges that once stocked well over 40 different types of beer all have sodas and juices and the selection appears to shrink everytime I go
... As an example , the entire section of shelving units were completely empty today, not one item on them, just empty ... ( these shelves easily house over 100 beers for perspective) .
After numerous inquiries with employees regarding the situation , all have amounted to failed promises of delivery dates of select brews, and varying excuses. I drove 15 minutes away to BuyRight of Fairview who not only had most everything that bottle co used to carry, but had offered to order me the case of Schnieder Weisse ( I bought the last two 4-packs they had ) to be delivered on Monday that Bottle Co had been promising me would be in stock for the last 3 months.
Not sure what has transpired internally over the last 6 months, but they don't seem to care about their clientele and have lost my business for good.
The selection is great and the service is even better! They have a nice reasonably priced bar where you can taste much of what they have to offer under a warm ambience. Their delivery is also impeccable. I was very pleasantly surprised by this place and they have NEVER let me down. Of course I highly recommend them.
Great for wine and booze. Beer selection could be better but maybe I just feel that way from going in there twice a week. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Bartenders make solid cocktails and 15+ beers on tap for pints and growlers.
largest liquor store I've ever seen in the area. way more square feet than any of these millions of small liquor stores around here and caus its big they have a way bigger selection of alcohol. if these other liquors store around here are like a corner deli, they're like a supermarket like shoprite
Love the place, the cigar selection is there, especially Marcus Daniel line of cigars. The wine selection is well rounded with different wine regions of world. The owner and his staff know the business very well, the managers (ALEXA) and the other managers and cashiers will provide the client a great service with a smile
I've been a customer here for about a year. Usually I come and go without much staff interaction, and that's the way I prefer it. However, I recently had a great customer service experience that I'd like to share. I had apparently purchased a six pack of Left Hand Brewing Co. Nitro Milk Stout that was under recall by the brewer for a yeast issue. I discovered this by drinking one of them and finding a messy pour and off flavors, then going online and seeing the recall notice on the brewer's site. I called Bottle Co and explained the situation to Alexa, who was unaware of the problem but assured me that I would be refunded. All I had to do was bring in the other 5 beers. After work, I went to the shop and met Trevor, who was also unaware of the recall. He took the beer back immediately and offered a suggestion for a similar style of beer, which I received at no charge. His suggestion was excellent; I'm glad I took his advice!
No hassle, great customer service. I'm not a review writer, but I felt I had to come on here and give credit where it is due. Good job Bottle Co!

Almost every week we were coming to this place, people who work they already knew me and could recognize. For most of the time they were friendly and almost all the time would say "Hello" when we would walk in. They have a good selection of drinks.
BUT until i got tired with them playing with the Prices. They put WRONG PRICE , and when you have to pay, normally you don't complain cause its few extra dollars. When you live around here you already pay around 3K for the rent, so they thought you wont mind paying more. Until i got tired and i requested to charge the price they are showing on the tag next to the drinks. They told me "NO, we will not". We got 2 different types of beer one of them was 15.99 got charged 17.99 + tax , and other 10.99 but got charged 11.99 + tax. Its impressive how they Manage this store, if customer complains they will make you to feel unwelcome and it wont help that you are a returning customer !
After 15 min of talking and explaining that they don't have a right to charge what ever price they want and must charge the price that is on the tag, instead of agreeing that as a customer we already spend over few thousand $ at their place, they simply gave $2 in cash and told me "Happy now" , as it would be customers mistake. Without no apology !

Good selection. Cool employees. Used to like this place until they told me they have a debit/credit card purchase limit. This is not your ordinary liquor store on the corner. Its a nice looking place at the expensive Avalon complex. Even my local corner spot doesn't have minimum purchase. Good chance I won't be coming back here for this reason alone.
PS: it was a debit card. Which if I'm not mistaken its against visa/MasterCard minimum policies. Also, no signage was posted. And being told at the register leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
This is the best place you can buy liquor at period. I've never been at a place with such a selection and an owner who will invite you in even if they are closing! I live in jersey city but dire to north Bergen just to get beers from here! Continue the good work!
