After a grueling 28-hour drive from Florida, this location was the low point of my entire moving experience. I arrived a few minutes before closing needing help unhooking my car hauler. I was flat-out refused service without hesitation. The most infuriating part? While I was forced to crawl on the cold, dark ground to unhook the trailer myself, other trucks were pulling up and being serviced right next to me. Incredibly unprofessional and lacked any basic empathy. Avoid this location if you can.
All was fine except the ~$35 charge for very little trash left in the truck. For light, excess trash from a move, it was excessive and felt like a money grab. Otherwise great experience.
Be aware of scammers! The staff at the counter lied to me, saying this is a new policy that all customers must buy insurance ($30 per day!) to rent the truck. Such a disgrace for a good company like Uhual to degrade to this scamming practice!
Kind of upsetting that I didn't feel comfortable with the van they gave me and pretty much leave me with no option. The lot was full with vehicles of my choice and I was told I couldn't change it

Amazing experience. Couldn’t ask for more. The cargo van is very clean with only 3600miles. Pick-up and return are easy and efficient. Much better than I expected. If I need U-Haul again I will come to this place for sure.
Wow what amazing customer service i wasn't good with the phone and the young girl at the counter said to me let me help u . Wow what service she followed me thru the steps to complete check out. Shout out to that girl what a great job. Also the man bext to her was awesome also.
I chose U-Haul for my moving supplies over other stores like Lowe’s and Home Depot that are close to it because of their great service and huge selection of not just a wide array of boxes but wrapping materials and tapes and anything you need for a move!!

The customer service in this location is great. I have rented trucks and moving equipment from them many times in the last six years and I never had any issue. Staff are friendly, professional, and responsive.
I saw this area and thought wow it’s great that they’re promoting sharing in our community. I put 5 beautiful dining room chairs and an employee advised me I had to call the office. Yanice with a Y (and an attitude ) from the office told me that they will charge me $80 to donate the chairs to the community! She said that was U-Haul’s Policy. This is not an act of kindness this is another way to profit off generous hearts. Don’t be fooled.
After a very difficult Sunday, I arrived five minutes before closing, worried I wouldn't be able to get my trailer and that my belongings would have to be carried back up five flights of stairs. Yoskar and Alejandro were so gracious and helpful that they made me forget my troubles. They seemed happy to help. Then, hooking up the trailer, Christopher H. noticed that the ball was loose on my hitch. Despite it now being after closing time, he took it back to the shop and tightened it. I felt in very good hands. Safety first. Customer first. I wish all businesses had employees like these.
I went for a rental truck. I owed $50 for a storage unit and Michael the general manager had my husband waiting for an hour before telling him he can’t rent the truck due to owing $50 which he cannot even pay later on. Are you kidding me? This guy is completely unprofessional. There are literal reviews here complaining about Michael and he’s STILL EMPLOYED. What in the world?! He’s literally so nasty and horrible. Please fire him for the love of everything. He doesn’t deserve a job and he treats people like horrible human beings and looks down on them. He’s the worst person I’ve ever run in to at any facility and lacks professionalism. The fact he’s still here is insane. This company doesn’t care about their customers for letting a manager like that exist.
I have rented with this company for a long time and never in my life have I seen such a lack of professionalism and poor customer service. This person is the general manager of the North Bregue location, Michael Araujo, who takes things personally, which is very unprofessional because as a customer, you are very stressed because of the move and then you run into a manager who makes his own employee afraid of him and puts customers on alert because I couldn't arrive on time to return the aforementioned charge. This has caused a huge headache for me and my family. I do not recommend coming to this location.
I have been customer for a while in this company not only at this location but in many location in nyc and nj area coming across the general manager of north Bergen location Michael Araujo has been always a difficult situation being president of a company, customer service is the most value asset that any company can have to asure growth, the general manager at this location lack of the basic profesionalism to asure the minimum customer satisfaction, I have seen not only how he treats the customer but also the way he treats his employees, the things I have encountered every time I come to his location is less than awful, not sure how this company measure the satisfaction of the customers but this guy do not represent the values and mission thst U-Haul wants to create.
I rented a 10’ truck and my drop off was the North Bergen NJ location. The truck experience was great. The truck was a newer model and worked well for my trip it was very clean. The facility was very accommodating and serviced me right away . They had an assembly line that move quickly with workers present ready to assist me with my drop off. There was really no wait. The guy was very polite and checked me out quickly.
Customer service is quick and timely, verifying the documents. The Van is very comfortable and spacious, just the size we needed to move the furniture of my daughter's college.
Most locations are the same but the service provided was on point. I had a few hiccups as most moving days come with and Mustafa was very understanding and accommodating. Hopefully I won't be moving again soon but will definitely be returning when the time comes. Thank you again Mustafa!
Michael is excellent at what he does! Renting this truck was super seamless. The truck was clean and the store was clean and well kept.
Don’t waste time renting from Home Depot the lines are long and there are no trucks available.

Excellent staff from the front desk to the yard. Received great help from Robert with a trailer pickup. U-Haul Corporate is way off base with their app features seeking to cut jobs with AI. You can’t trade tech to replace good workers. This location is a great example. More good workers less apps and phones!
Is this a common practice at all U-Haul locations for local moves? => I was shocked to find out that in addition to a driver’s license, this location requires 2 more forms of ID with a U.S. Passport as a requirement to rent. I didn’t bring it and a the alternative was providing the name of a contact person (clueless as to why because the person had no liability/responsibility for payment).
I was upset and exchanged words with store manager and counter person because this was so humiliating! At which point, their store manager said that they don’t need to take verbal abuse from me. Fine, I calmed down because I had already hired (via U-Haul) a couple of movers and had ltaken day off to do a local move. Plus, it is U-Haul’s policy, not the employees’ fault.
Btw, mind you that I also had done the ore-check up and provided all my information and identification via the app that supposedly would have made it all easier and faster. And the caller that reminded me of the reservation, a day prior, said nothing about a passport, rather to bring a form of ID and credit card used for reservation for payment.
Oh and I had rented U-Hauls as well as storage unit in the past. ***Next time, I would rather hire professional movers * their own truck vs using U-Haul at North Bergen, NJ location.. *** Their truck was also slightly dented on a side and door scratched which, luckily, was the one thing right about the whole process: of using the app to report issues.
Omg what a bad service I got today at this location!
They said they don’t have any rental. I went out and my partner went inside to ask once again and they said that they do have trucks for rental. So if they employees don’t want to work with customer services they should stay at home. The girl (with freckles) was with attitude when I was wondering for information.
Plus, my car was perfectly parked when I was inside the store and they ask to move right away with any reason.

The employee at the counter was polite and efficient. She made short work of the rental. The Reservation department is trash. She wanted a one-way truck, and they sent my friend 80 miles out of the way FOR A LOCAL truck! When her original oneway truck (miles included) was much closer. No $50 reservation guarantee, no VIP certificate for the inconvenience, just a blunt " what do you want to do and a yo want the truck or nah. Penske for sure next time.
