Horrible customer service at this location. On February 25th, I ordered a full set of tires through Amazon and scheduled installation at this Mavis location. I initially set the appointment for March 1st, then rescheduled it to February 28th, which Amazon confirmed. According to both Amazon and UPS, the tires were delivered on February 27th and signed for by someone named ALVAREZ. When I arrived on the confirmed date, I checked in for my Amazon appointment. The taller and bigger dude at the front desk immediately said, “We don’t have any appointments for today.” I showed him my Amazon confirmation, and the UPS delivery confirmation (which he didn't care to look at) for the tires. He repeated that they had no Amazon appointment scheduled for today and that the tires were not there, telling me to “talk to Amazon.” I again tried to show him the UPS confirmation, and again he dismissed it without checking. He then asked for my phone number so they could call me “when the tires get there.” Meanwhile, another employee checked the system and found my appointment — but for the following day. I explained that I had rescheduled it to the day before and showed the confirmation. The response I received from the bigger guy was, once again, “Talk to Amazon.” I’ve had a similar issue at another Mavis location, but there, the staff took the time to investigate, locate the tires, and complete the installation the same day. I have no doubt that if the staff at this location had made even a minimal effort, they could have resolved the issue as well. i gave up with these people and I just canceled the entire order through Amazon while standing in the store. I received a refund and purchased my tires elsewhere. To the front desk employee: if basic customer service isn’t something you’re willing to provide because you hate people, this may not be the right position for you.

I went for an oil change. Peter was awesome he went over everything that was done on my Jeep as well as checking several other areas. I needed new tires due to the wear and tear. He quoted me very fairly and I’m coming back to have them done. I’d refer this place to anyone who needed great service and customer treatment.

Exceptional professionalism, helpfulness, and honesty, especially noting Assistant Manager Richie's support, making it a highly recommended spot for reliable vehicle service with fair pricing, even for those less familiar with car issues like myself, demonstrating a top-tier customer experience. This is by far, the best shop i have ever gone to and my #1 go-to spot!

DO NOT GO HERE WHATSOEVER!!! I went in for an alignment and after service was done he told me the tie rods needed to be torched for alignment tie rods needs to be changed after winter and I drove my car and heard a loud clunking noise. I took it back immediately and was told the sway bar links need to be tightened. I just had brand new sway bar links put in day before so made no sense and was told tie rods need to be changed immediately. They lied to me and let me leave with a car that’s unsafe to drive!! I brought it back again another mechanic said sway bar links are fine and tie rods need changed. Not only did they damaged my tie rods by torching them they let me leave with an unsafe car and would not refund me. Told me very rudely to call corporate. Apparently you don’t even need to be ASE certified at Mavis and they are bunch of inexperienced mechanics. They also gave me an outrageous quote on tires that are Mavis junk tires not even a quality brand tire. Ripping people off and damaging parts is not okay!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE

I had a great experience here n I’ll always come back. The people are very helpful and it’s a very clean place. I’d recommend everyone to go here and strongly suggest to ask for Pete. He knows he’s stuff and is a very nice person.

Micheal at the North Bergen shop was great! I booked my appointment online and wasn’t really sure of what I was doing but Micheal took the time to walk me through my choices and make sure I understood every step. After booking online he called to confirm my appointment. Once I arrived he explained all the pros and cons of everything and made sure I was well informed. Would definitely ask for him again!

I had a great experience at Mavis Discount Tire on 2401 Kennedy Blvd in North Bergen. I was a last minute appointment and Peter, the manager on site, was very accommodating and flexible with squeezing me in despite there being a few other cars in the cue. Great experience, 10/10

Pete goes above and beyond. True definition of customer service. My wife’s car had a blow out and the car was towed there because it’s close to home. He kept us informed throughout the process. New tire mounted and balance. The original plan was that they wouldn’t have the tire for a few days. He called the warehouse and got it done the next day. That is service. I highly recommend you look him up if you need automotive needs.

"Too Late" for a Simple Tire Change? Midas Needs an Attitude Adjustment. I made an appointment at 5:00 PM to replace two tires. Due to unexpectedly bad traffic, I arrived at 5:10 PM—a mere ten minutes late. What greeted me was not service, but an eye-roll from a team of so-called "mechanics" who apparently have mistaken a Midas shop for a high-end European auto lounge. Despite the fact that they had only ONE car currently being serviced and three bays completely empty, I was immediately lectured that it was "too late." I was told, with a breathtaking level of condescension, that they needed "more than an hour and 45 minutes" to change two tires. Two tires! A job most reputable shops can do in 30-45 minutes max, especially by appointment. It was crystal clear that they simply didn't want to start a job near closing, which I might understand if they were swamped, but they were doing absolutely nothing! Their inflated estimate of nearly two hours was a transparent, lazy excuse. These "white glove wannabe mechanics" acted like my ten-minute delay was a personal insult and treated me like an inconvenience rather than a paying customer. If your scheduling is so brittle that a 10-minute traffic delay ruins your entire evening plan, you need to revisit how you run a business. Save yourself the aggravation. If you need quick, respectful service for a basic job like tire replacement, go literally anywhere else. This Midas location offers nothing but attitude and incompetence wrapped up in a lazy refusal to work. I drove away and found a nearby competitor who had both tires done in under 40 minutes. Avoid this Midas.

Michael at the front desk and the entire staff were awesome. We came in Wednesday mid afternoon and they helped us change 4 tires by end of the day - which we needed suddenly that morning to travel for the holiday . Michael talked us thru all options; managed expectations on time to complete the job; helped with tire alignment too - and they were right on the money with timing to complete the change. Just total pros. We hit huge snow in western New York State a couple days later and those tires were such a relief and performed great. Even the restroom for customers was really clean. Those types of details matter too…

This Mavis location is fantastic had gotten an oil change the process was efficient the guys at the desk are great Michael helped me out provided all the information I needed, The service advisor Peter also pointed out I need some work done on my brakes soon I was extremely satisfied with the professional service provided.

Mike and Jonathan were great with scheduling and gave me prompt updates with the service and ETA of completion. Peter was on another level when it comes to looking at cars. After working on my car he gave me an amazing professional opinion on how to proceed with taking care of the issues I had at hand. Mavis is great, but if u want amazing service, 2401 Kennedy is where that is a guarantee

Getting two flat tire sucks - but this place (Jonathon specifically) made it so easy for me - from taking phone calls all day (because of the endless questions) to also helping me get a great price and ensuring I was out of there after work in a timely manner! I actually am so shocked at how easy they made it for me!

John and David were great to work with! I was visiting my mother and noticed her tires were dry rotted but she had not noticed that. The tires were old and did their due diligence but we had to make sure she was going to be safe on the road. We quickly went to Mavis, they were able to get us in the same day! Tires purchased and on! Running smoothly and we are thankful for David and John! Also, sorry to Rich at the Jersey City location who was also wonderful to talk to on the phone but we didn’t realize that we went to NB instead of JC originally. All in all John and David in NB and Rich in JC all wonderful!

Poor workmanship. I went here to change my battery, but they broke my battery cover in the process. On top of that, they didn’t even place it back properly. Very careless work.

This place is amazing man… service is done efficiently and David is such an ambassador for the company the way he welcomes customers and works with us to make sure we are being served in a timely and respectful manner. The mechanics know what they are doing there and David isn’t just there for a paycheck, you can tell he is there to address our problems with our vehicles and assure we leave completely satisfied as customers. Highly recommend this shop. While traveling several hours from home we ended up with a flat tire at 6pm when we were hoping to get on the road shortly. When we called they said bring it right in, we’ll take care of it. And they did! Top notch service. Friendly, kind, professional, and we were on the road much sooner than we expected. David and Jonathan took great care of us.

Great place and honest staff. They were helpful and when they found an issue they didn't push it so it doesn't feel salesy. I'll be back. I had to get a new catalytic converter for my 2008 Toyota Prius because I was the lucky guy to have it stolen. They installed it with no issues. I returned to the Advanced Auto Parts section to get new windshield wipers and the lady behind the counter got the windshield wipers and installed it for me. Now, I could install it without issue but it's nice she went above and beyond being behind the register. One of the other mechanics came by and checked the tires to make sure they were fully inflated for free as well. It was just nice they added those touches. I'll be coming here anytime I have any car issues. The only issue I have is this employee John with a stupid moustache. The guy isn't very friendly. Just gives this nasty attitude. If you don't want to work then quit.

The staff there, particularly the rep Joe, went above and beyond to make things right. Joe was incredibly helpful, not only sorting out the alignment issue but also providing a coupon to make up for the inconvenience. What stood out was their willingness to assist beyond just the tire replacement—Joe even helped me get a charger for my phone while I waited since I was calling back and forth with cooperate for 2 hours. The local team was friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable, offering great deals and skilled technicians to ensure top-notch service. So while navigating Mavis Discount Tires' corporate system may be a headache, the redemption lies in their exceptional local service. If you can endure the corporate hurdles, the friendly faces and quality service at the local level make it all worthwhile.
