What clients say about Olston's Import Auto Repair in Lincoln (NE)
I absolutely love this place I been going there since 4 years and every time has been awesome they worked on both my Mercedes Benz and they are the most honest people in Lincoln Nebraska when it comes to car I highly recommend
Have been going here for awhile, and can absolutely say this is by far the only place in Lincoln I will ever trust with my car. They are nice, helpful, and not condescending. Highly recommend this place!!!
Great service and Toby is easy to work with! He is very honest and is straight forward if you need repairs right away or not! He is fair on his pricing and I will always go there.
A great and honest shop. They were super honest about my car when the sub frame was going and told me flat out to start looking for a new vehicle. They could have taken me for a 2k+ ride but instead were honest and open. A rare find in shops these days.
Highly recommend. Great technicians and ownership. Import or not I’d use their services. Quality and kind folks. Tyler who worked on my car was very kind and clear. And even washed it for me. 5 stars all the way.
Very helpful guys at the front counter, I needed a pair of mustang spindles that they didn't have. Counter guy located a set for me, got them 2 days later.
These guys are great. I dropped my car off mid-morning, they called me by noon to tell me my water pump housing unit needed replaced & by 3 pm my car was repaired & ready to go. Best service ever! Thanks guys.
Tie rod (outer) repair needed. I buy all my parts from Mopar as I drive a Jeep. They accepted a part not bought directly through them, didn’t hassle me for other repairs (I know I need), and treated me fairly. Amazing crew, amazing work, and I highly recommend them for any mechanical needs!
The ruined my car. We brought it in for a valve cover replacement and to top the transmission. When we got it back we seen coolent under my car figured they were just sloppy with there work and maybe filled it for us and spilt it. Two days later the radiator hose blew off almost blew the engine. Turns out the head gasket is blown and will not cost me 3,600 to replace. We know this was not an issue that happened before because two days prior we took it to valvoline and they told us no leaks, under the car was very clean. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE.
Olston's took a look at my daughter's car because she suspected that it wasn't getting as good of gas mileage as it used to. Rather than spending a week or more using the trip odometer to check the miles per gallon, she took it to Olston's. Toby and his crew checked it out and determined that everything was running fine. They didn't even charge us! Excellent service, and great peace of mind.
I've been going to Olson's for years. They might be the most inexpensive place in town but the work is always done well and correct the first time. They use quality parts and communicate with you well along the way.
Olstons has been my go to mechanic and automotive guru for over 30 years (since I was 16). They have been accurate, affordable, and personable for all of my cars both imported and domestic brands. They have worked with my budget and have always been honest about what needs to be done. Only problem is that they aren't exactly a secret in Lincoln, you should schedule an appointment, but are always there to help. I have always recommended Toby and his staff without hesitation.
Toby and his crew have been my mechanic for 10 years. They've always been up front and fair and do exceptional work. Wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else!
Every time I took my car in there it would come out worse than before. I was threatened and told to go outside to settle things like men. Keep in mind I’m only 17. Me being only 17 and having a single mother we were completely taken advantage of. I’d advise absolutely nobody to come here. My car was able to drive the 20 minutes to get there but after I simply got an oil change I could barely even make it down the road.
I've been taking my cars to Olstens for 25 years or more. Honest, good people serving the community by keeping their cars on the road. No funny business here, just straight honest car talk about the repair or service needed. Trust is huge in this business because most people are at the mercy of auto technicians. Toby and the gang will always help to build that trust with their expertise, professionalism, and just good ol fashion neighborly behavior. No bs here.
Took my Suzuki Kizashi there for a recall. They were able to work with Suzuki to do it. Great work, quickly done by pleasant people. I'm pleased to find a local place to do my work in the future.
Very honest which is very rare and their prices are very reasonable especially when you have a European car. They tell you what you need and get it done unlike others trying to sell you what you don't need. A 1600$ repair /maintenance from the dealership cost me 92$ at this place so imagine. Their whole crew is great but Tyler is my favorite! Would recommend it to anyone!
Very friendly very knowledgeable mechanics. Helped get my Jetta back on the road incredibly fast amd incredibly inexpensive. Had quotes for over 100 dollars to fix the did it for half of that! Defiantly recommend!!!
My a.c. went out in my car and they fixed it. Not the problem. The problem is they cracked my windshield getting the part out. Then when I called later that day (like i said i would because i was on my way to work) I was horribly ripped into. So I've been driving around with a cracked windshield and will have to pay about 300 bucks for that. If they would've fixed it I would give 5 stars. If I could give negative 5 stars I freaking would.
Crooks. In the last month its been a nightmare to get them to honor anything. I bought an SUV with the agreement I could take it overnight and have a mechanic look at and work out any adjustments needed in price based upon repairs. Died the very next day on the way to work. I had it towed to their shop where they said the repairs cost $3800. Told them they needed to adjust the price based upon the repairs or cancel the deal I gave them $2000 cash and agreed to pay up to another $500 based upon any repairs needed. They couldn't "FIND" the paper that this was written on and I wasn't given a copy so I'm stuck paying $7000 for a piece of junk that never made it into the other mechanics as agreed upon. They have told me I owe the full $7000 plus repairs so I left it there. Now they're coming after me for the rest of the price of the car although they have it on their lot.
Very reliable and a great group of people. Have been taking my car here for a year or so and I'm always very please with their work and customer service. Keep up the good work!
I have been going here for about 2 years now and they are always very helpful for me and very knowledgeable. They don't just specialize in imports either. My car is a Pontiac Grand Prix and they have done a good job. Just the other day I had a flat tire and took it in to get it patched, they only charged me $10 and they had it done in 15 minutes, put it on my car for me, aired up my spare tire and had me ready to drive off. I have done other work done there too like fixing an intake manifold, getting new tires, service, and fixing spark plugs. Every time they have a very reasonable price for their service.
I took my VW Jetta to have a check engine light figured out and to have them work on the brakes. They thought there was a fuel line leak somewhere. They did some sort of smoke test to see if they could find the leak. They replaced the fuel line itself. To this day, I don't think that was really the issue because the check engine light went on the next week.
The brakes were poorly done. They replaced the front pads and such because they were making a bit of noise and they were sluggish. I come to find out that they are STILL squeaking when I drive.
I ended up taking my car to another shop in town the next week. This other guy figured out the check engine light in 10 minutes. He smelled gas coming from the back of the car (gas leak of some sort). Turns out it was the gas cap that was bad. This guy didn't even need some computer to figure that out. Olston's just wasted my time and money. My new mechanic also said that the brake repairs were done okay but that Olston's didn't lubricate the brakes very well. That was causing them to squeak. So, I have newer brakes but they still squeak because they were too lazy to lubricate them.
They say they work on imports but I don't really think they know what they are doing with them. I wouldn't go back unless I had a domestic car.
