I recently had an outstanding experience with a 24-hour mechanic shop in Lincoln, Nebraska. When I called and left a message, I received a prompt callback. The mechanic was incredibly attentive, listened to my issues, and discussed potential problems with me. He made it clear that he understood the urgency of my situation and even rearranged his schedule to accommodate me that same day.
My car had an automatic transmission fluid warning, and he suggested a drain and fill. He performed the job meticulously, aware of how important it was for us to get my daughter to her college destination. His professionalism and dedication were evident throughout the process.
The pricing was fair, and after the service, the warning light was gone, and we've had no issues since. I highly recommend this mechanic for anyone in Lincoln. Over the summer in august I was traveling alone from Denver to Michigan. My car overheated about an hour away from this shop and as a 21 year old girl, i was overly terrified and panicking the entire time. my sister found this place and i drove here. they truly took the best care of my car and I! It was done within a day and there has been no issues since. They gave me a ride to and from my hotel so i didn’t have to pay for an uber and even called a couple days later to make sure I made it back to michigan! I truly was so thankful that they made a stressful situation so much easier and made me feel so comfortable alone in a random city with no car! Hope your staff is doing well.
I took my car in a few days ago to fix the stabilizer bar in my car. They drained the oil out of our car and said that we had no oil in it even though we changed the oil between 6-12 months ago. As well as they drained our break fluid out of the car as well. If I could give zero stars I would do not go here. Also they didn’t even fix the stabilizer bar and convinced us to change our tires instead.
Out of state car was towed in with no advance warning. Problem diagnosed, fixed, road tested. Second hidden problem in electrical system diagnosed and fixed. Cheerfully, Politely, and Safely. Ready to go on our way when promised. (Two women traveling together!)
We had a breakdown on the freeway outside Lincoln on a Friday afternoon late. We were in a tight pickle for sure! We had had previous work done at 24 hour Auto Repair so decided to give them a call after the Ford dealer said it would be 2 weeks before they could check it out! We limped in with our 1998 Ford van at about 5:30 on a Friday. David and his mother Carol, who mans the desk, couldn’t have been more helpful! They bent over backwards to accommodate us and had the issue diagnosed by the next day and we were off and running! I must say the service was amazing and we totally expected an outrageous bill but it was quite reasonable! Thank you David and Carol for saving the family vacation!
We had a flat tire, late night, and had six hours to go on our road trip home. They quoted us for free & we’re very affordable and straight forward with pricing. The staff we're so hospitable while we waited for our tire replacement! We were given a comfy area with couches and chairs to sit, a tv remote with streaming services to choose from and they even offered us sandwiches! Thank you so much for everything. You all made this so easy and painless.
We were recommended to go to this place by a friend. He said we could work something out for payments because we didn’t have all the money to pay them about 2 weeks ago. So I called the boss there and came up with a plan to pay half last monday when my car was supposed to be done, and then the other half yesterday when I got paid. But it took them til today to get my car done and charged us full price instead of doing what we had agreed apon. I really do not recommend this place. They take for ever to do a simple fix. And go back on their word.
I would trust my wife and daughters to get work done on their cars here, while being fully confident in the mechanics not trying to up-charge them. The absolutely best folks work here. Thank you for taking care of me and my vehicle in the middle of our road trip.
David was great! The alternator went out on our van as we got to Lincoln on a Saturday evening. This shop was one of a very small handful that were even open on Sunday, and they were able to get our car taken care of in a few hours and get us back on the road. David was very upfront and informative about the issue and the cost.
The tech was knowledgeable about the errors made by a previous mechanic so he repaired my truck to best of their ability and tried to keep the price within reason.
When we receive a tentative bill based upon what is estimated, the bill is always in that range. They are always very communicative with how the repair schedule is proceeding and will happily elaborate on the maintenance required. We will, and have, recommend 24 Hour Auto Repair for our friends and family.
Dave and Carol at 24 Hour Auto is the only place I will take my vehicle. There is usually a wait to get in, but it's well worth the wait. Sometimes depending on what is wrong they may be able to get you in and you'll have to wait. I've been taking my 2002 Buick Park Avenue there for the last 3 1/2 years. I've always have left very satisfied. It's not always the cheapest or the most expensive. They're prices are always fair. I bought 4 tires several years ago and one had to be replaced cause of a couple of nails and a screw. They were under warranty and they replaced it.
Dave, Russ and Carol will do their best to get you in as soon as possible. But there is currently a two to three week wait. It's definitely worth it.
Recently I was having an issue with my car and I took it in. I work just up the street from their location, so I camped out on one of their couches and made myself at home. Carol does an excellent job at making the store festive around the holidays. They are on my Christmas list this year!!!!
